This local tribute to all the young drummer boys who died in this stupid war. The average age of the dead was only 19 years old and over 650,000 American were killed. The boy scouts headed this local project. .Each state of the United States is represented. Its a nice place to just unwind after a busy day seeing all the sights. By the way go across the street for the best ice cream in Gettysburg.

Unity Park, a lovely little park, the brainchild of Andrew Adams when pursuing his Eagle Scout merit badge is not only a beautiful little park, but meaningful and educational as well. As almost a fifth of those who served in the Union and Confederate armies were under 18 years of age, it honors those young people who served as well as those musicians, most of whom were mere children that served. It’s a really small park and a relatively new park having only been dedicated as such on July, 2015
