Hidden away in the quant town of Gibsonville, NC. Six Scoops has the best ice cream around, because it’s all homemade. Butter Pecan is my favorite. Great hot dogs & sandwiches. And the owners & staff are awesome! Everyone makes you feel welcome. The owner comes out from the grill to chat with his customers. That you don’t find too often!

Small place in downtown Gibsonville that serves hot dogs, hamburgers, sundaes, ice cream, and milkshakes. I have been here before several times but have only had ice cream or milkshakes. The case includes eight flavors and they will let you sample all of them if you choose. I was torn between cookies and cream or pumpkin pie as my shake flavor choice. The girl helping me offered to mix this into one if I wanted. Yes you can mix any if not all the flavors into one concoction if it fits into the 16 oz cup. I went with the pumpkin pie and this rocked. Their shakes are thick but you can easily use a straw unlike say, Cook Out where you need a spoon or shovel. I do believe these are pricey at 4.80 however. Six Scoops boasts making their own ice cream and not using commercial stuff. So if locally owned and made is your thing, come here. It fits the area well. It’s OK.

I’ve never been in this six scoops before, but decided to stop by to get some cold ice cream in hopes it would calm my swelling face. I had just had dental work friday. When I walked in, I wasn’t even greeted, which I could understand, because some establishments«just don’t do that» or were«too busy. What bothered me at first was the teen girl working looked right at me and didn’t even acknowledge me. I told her I had never been here before and I just wanted to order ice cream. She proceeded to ignore me but continued to flirt with two teenage boys infront of me. After five minutes of them talking, they finally sat down when I was asked cooly, «How can I help you?» I asked her what was good and got a scoop of the chocolate Reeses she recommended. She rang me up, and turned an iPad around in my face and said nothing. I asked her that she wanted me to do with this. She said, «The top 6 buttons are for me(tips) the last one is for you. Mind you the whole time this girl didn’t even give me a spoon. Poor service. Poor excuse of an employee. If she worked for me she’d be gone in a heart beat. Such a ha, e

Has anyone else ever had the peach ice cream and thought it had a strong hint of medicine taste? Almost like NyQuil was in the batch. Texture was amazing but definitely thought it had a medicine flavor.

This ice cream parlor and sandwich shop is in downtown Gibsonville in tight little storefront with a hand full of tables. Stopped in last night for ice cream after Mother’s Day dinner at Good Times Café, and don’t regret breaking the diet even one little bit. I had chocolate Reese’s Cup and Mom had Mint Chocolate Chip. 2 scoops are $ 3.75 and well worth as the serving was really large. Both flavors were delicious, thick, creamy and very fresh tasting. I think they make it right there in town. There were 10 or so flavors with standards like chocolate and vanilla, plus specialties like Almond Joy and Black Cherry. Can’t wait to break my diet again next time I’m in town. The Mother’s Day special of a free scoop was a nice touch too.

What a great little place. Exactly what you expect from an ice cream shop on main street of a small town. Excellent locally made ice cream, great friendly service. Simple sandwiches and sides cooked well and served hot. Six Scoops also contributes to the local community in many ways. Sponsoring local sports teams, offering discounts for kids wearing uniforms, etc. You must make this a local tradition, no better ice cream in the state.

I have been going all summer long. Best ice cream in two county’s. Then they added food, this a good meal for a quick snack. Then they added French frys. What else can I say. Hot dogs are good, wife said burger was good. Then the dessert of ice cream with multiple flavors. Cherry vanilla, fresh strawberry are my favorites. Butter pecan comes in third. I have enjoyed my weekend trips to get ice cream here! Enjoy!

I’ve never eaten anything but ice cream here, and it’s delicious. It’s a local business with locally made ice cream. They do have specials several nights a week on hot dogs or ice cream, so that makes this already affordable business even better. This is a good place to end a night with some great dessert. Couldn’t recommend it more!

As a young man, our family used to make our own homemade peach ice cream. It was a great ice cream as we had our own cow, a Danish Red(Dane), bigger than a Volkswagen. Recently, shopping at Lowes Food, I met a man and wife team who asked if I wanted to try their home made Six Scoops Ice Cream. Immediately, I asked if they had peach. Well they did indeed. I pronounce immediately on a sample, that this was the best peach ice cream I ever had. I came to find out it has a higher price than most commercial choices. The price however is worth every blessed cent more. Try it and ask for it.
