This is your basic driving range. The people running it are excellent. They have very good instructors. It is a great place to work on your form.

Do not come here. Well I have to say I was very frightened by my very last experience here. The parking lot kept okay and is deceptive because when you walk into the building it is empty. The building was purposed for multi vendor use and vendors are all gone. The Desk stands alone with an empty floor and nothing to purchase except balls for«range» and Put Put. After purchasing a bucket of balls I walked out in astonishment of how awful the range condition was in and second deck closed. I walked out to a mat and there was no rubber tee so I went inside to ask for one but was told they are out and I need to look around to find one because they didn’t have anymore and by the tone assume they will not be purchasing more anytime soon. I will include a picture because I would have to write a short story to describe the delinquency of the range. Do not come here! It is far from its grand opening days and needs to be closed or invested in majorly!

It’s a basic driving range, and it’s just fine. It is not dirty or unsafe or anything like that. Great place to practice your swing — and inexpensive. PROS: 74 covered tees, 20 of those can be heated. Range is wide and deep with 5 target flags. They have loaner clubs, 2 friendly and knowledgeable teaching pros and bathrooms. Buckets of balls for non-members are fine. I got 180 balls for $ 14. I think the 120 bucket is $ 10. CONS: Advertised putting course(read: mini golf) is underwater at this moment. The facility is clean but bare bones and feels a little run down. Driving range surface(not your tee mat) appears to be concrete with thin layer of Astro turf, so your shots act VERY different when they land on that than they will on grass — you can essentially only practice your swing and assess your carry on each shot. Feedback on spin, roll and stopping distances will be invalid.

I’ve been going here for years and do agree with the other review that the place is a bit run down. Its too bad because it is a good place for practicing your golf swing. I think the economy is taking its toll, but I’m hoping this place survives. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The best time to go is Tue. after 5 for women and Wed. after 5 for men. They offer half price discounts. I haven’t found a driving range close to Gig Harbor worth driving to, and will continue to frequent Performance Golf Center.

This place has really gone downhill in the past few years. As for a driving range, it’s your run-of-the-mill urban driving range. You’re hitting off mats on concrete with those rubbery tees. The range itself is turf on top of concrete, with weeds, gaps, puddles, etc. The ball’s landing hardly mimics what it’ll do on a course A few years back, there was a golf shop, snack bar, etc. All of that is empty space now. The putting course is really suffering. The water features are stagnant, evaporating, sludgy, mossy, gross and a haven for bugs. Dragonflies and bees are ruling the place, and the plants are overgrowing the course in places.
