The people at the store were very kind, and after spending some time with them, we bought an i8 Sleep Number bed. The purchase experience was great. Scheduling the delivery was quite a bit of trouble. We were given the run-around on dates and felt like that process was more hassle than it should have been. Still, we pressed on and had the bed delivered. From the very beginning, I could never get comfortable in this bed. And I spent a great deal of time and effort to try — I went into the store, spoke to the support staff on the toll-free number, and had stuff sent to us to try to improve the situation. None of it helped. At the end of the day the bed simply feels like a dressed up air mattress… a really expensive, dressed up air mattress. The gimmicks and demonstrations they use in their advertising and sales process all sound nice, but the bed simply feels like a multi-chambered, adjustable air mattress with a topper. So earlier this week I called to arrange the return of the mattress. Unfortunately, they can’t process that request for over a week, because they are in a «systems transition» that prevents them from servicing their customers. I was told that I would need to wait until next week before they would be able to begin that process, and that I should expect a significant delay because they anticipate they will be busy due to their week-long inability to service customers. This seems like a really bad business decision, at an institutional level. I highly recommend getting a mattress elsewhere.

First I should note: we didn’t buy anything. But we did go through the full sales thing. They had us lay down on a bed and we figured out our«numbers», and then we tried different models. The saleslady was very nice and patient. The beds were extremely comfortable(especially the ones with pillow-tops in addition to the variable air bag). The only thing that stopped us from buying was the price. Realistically our mattress still has a few years left in it, and these Sleep Number beds are breathtakingly expensive. Even with the sale that lured us in to begin with. I think MAYBE if our mattress was needing to be replaced, we might have taken the plunge here. The sale was not-bad(at least some models). But we just couldn’t justify the cost at this time.

My Husband and I decided to buy a mattress. We went to sleep number and decided it was a good purchase. I was happy with the 48 month 0% financing and delighted with the 25 year limited warranty. I figure we spend the money which was MORE than i would ever like to spend on a mattress but justified it with the warranty. So we signed on the dotted line and we would receive our new bed in 2 weeks! I should have gone with my gut feeling when I saw a woman come in while we were there who had already purchased the bed and had a problem with it. She was told the store can’t help her she would have to call customer service. Then was sent out the door I didn’t like how that was handled. We were expecting our bed on a Wednesday but someone told us the wrong day so it came Thursday. When it was delivered it didn’t look right. it was low and not the right mattress fabric. So we called and they told us they gave us the old model for the i8 then told us they will get the new model and come up with a compensation package. So we waited for a call. No one called. My husband called the store manager said the would get back to him. No call .so I called they told me customer service was suppose to call you. I told them they didn’t. They called my husband he was in a meeting he couldn’t pick up. He called them back and they said«James«was busy and on his lunch break and could NOT speak to my husband now. We were sold on this bed because of the 25 year warranty if this is how they treat all«new» customers I can’t imaging how ridiculously they would treat existing customers. Needless to say there was No compensation package, No customer service and now we canceled our order due to the lack of faith my husband and I have with this company and we are out of a bed because they took our old mattress. BUYERSBEWARE!!!
