The selection of used games gets them 3 stars, but honestly I get frustrated at the constant attempts to sell me memberships and preorders.

Some employees are cool but some are just ass-holes i was at the counter for 4mins paying and pre-ordering Persona4 Area and the guy ringing me up called me bro 50times. Also i don’t understand why gamestop opens up your pre-ordered game and takes out all the bounus items along with it, most employees don’t know how to handle games. Last time i bought Ys: oath of felghana Limited Edition one of the employees almost ruined the box because he was trying to jam everything in at once i told the employee«just put everything in the bag i’ll do it myself

I came here on Black Friday and it was super busy. This place was small and filled with video games. The employees here were busy and I was going to ask them about a game I wanted to buy. I didn’t buy anything but did browse around in the very limited area I could since the line was pretty long. They had games for XBOX360, PS3, Wii, PC, and all of the handheld consoles. Some of them were used for a lower price and some were new. If you’re looking to buy a video game, then this might be the place for you. That’s pretty much it.

I’ll buy online from now on. My mom(ya she’s a gamer. go gamin gramma!) went in twice now to get a game that they said they were getting from the Salinas store and both times, they act like they have no clue wth is going on. Then the manager says«Well its up to them whether or not they feel like sending it» … I said«Well thats how you all treat your customers then?» He shrugged and said«Well its not like there’s any real policy on it or how it to be done» …WHATABOUTJUSTBEINGGOODTOYOURCUSTOMERBECAUSEITSTHERIGHTTHINGTODO? Do you need a policy for that??? We’ll just buy online. I hope that location goes under.

Snagged Assassin’s Creed and Heavenly Sword for PS3 at this location without a pre-order even though employee’s tried to convince me that there was no way i’d be able to get those games without one… but I guess it’s part of their job just like how best buy employees try to sell protection plans for every little thing so I don’t really mind… they’re just doing their job. Employees here are knowledgeable(Could say the same for all gamestop/eb games locations that I’ve been to) and I’ve seen them provide fair and accurate guidance to parents who come in to buy games/systems for their kids. One complaint I have about this location is that they don’t have as many used PSP and PS3 titles as their branch on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale.

If this is the gamestop location right next to the Best Buy in gilroy, than I would like to take the time to ask everyone to avoid this one and head on to the one right on the other side of the bridge. This gamestop is filled with workers who are otaku geeks who will either insist you to buy what they think is best, or talk down to you on your choice of purchase. I have had actual workers sit on the counter and have their back towards me while I ask them a question. I l dread this place and ask everyone who has had similar experiances to share them.
