This is a local favorite and has been around for a long time and it’s not a big mystery why… It’s really good! Seriously, even with Chipotle in town, Super Taq still manages to draw big lunch time crowds. The burritos are fantastic, but the tacos are where it’s at in my humble opinion. Another favorite of mine is the red salsa! It’s hot as hell, but tastes oh so good! Super Taq always seems to employ unfriendly cashiers who are averse to smiling, but no problem. We’re here for the cheap and delicious food. They seem to do a good job cleaning the place as well so I can’t complain. One thing that is imperative to remember is that this place is CASHONLY. They do NOT accept credit or debit cards. I learned that the hard way once. They do have an ATM, but it’s not fun to pay $ 2.50 just to get some cash. I don’t mind that it’s cash only because I like to always have $ 20 or so on me at all times. Don’t come to Super Taqueria expecting five star Mexican cuisine, but DO come expecting great tasting Mexican comfort food at half the price of Chipotle.

The Menu Prices aren’t too Bad… but the reason for my 3 Star Review is that Their«Asada» is too dry and flavorless for my Tasting. I also wish that they Take Debit.

Really great tacos. Friend and I stopped here for a quick lunch on our way south. We got tacos with carnitas and without meat. Came with avocados. Verry quick service too

Super Taqueria is always delicious. If you’re wanting Mexican food that is fast/cheap and tastes great than come here. The restaurant isn’t always clean, mess on tables from previous customers, but where the food is prepared is always clean and well maintained. We come here when we’re not in the mood for big restaurant outings. Super Taq is great for a pit stop while out on the go.

When their hours say open until 10pm they really mean 9:30. I even tried calling in the order so they could finish it and clean up, but the lady on the phone said they wouldn’t make it till I got there. Left a bad first impression on me. Won’t be going there in the future or recommend it to anyone.

4 stars because it’s CASHONLY — I’m that person who never carries cash any more… I love authentic Mexican food and one may argue about this place but I don’t care what you think!!! This place does the job! Can I have an amen for the Super Burrito and Super Nachos! I like mine sans beans, frijoles if you feel like using your best Spanglish like me!!! The carnitas, asada and chili verde is pretty solid and the salsa bar is abundant, with jalapeños and limes too! Love me some salsa verde(green) — spicy deliciousness. My husband likes the horchata –so do the cha cha!!! The new location is pretty clean and quiet with plenty seating for those who dine-in. I haven’t had to stand in a line to order or get it to-go for lack of available seating– unlike the original location. Will be back for more… happy eating!!!

The food here is great. I down rate restaurants that I observe not practicing sanitary practices. I was in Super T today for lunch. I watched the cashier walk around and bus tables. She had a wet towel that she used to wipe off the tables as she went around the restaurant. Wiping it off the tables and onto the floor. No cleaning solution, spray or bleach was used to clean the tables that kids climb on & people put their hands, food, elbows and forks/spoons on. GROSS! Their food is a great value, large servings and tasty. I’m just taking it TOGO from now on. GROSS! BTW: CASHONLY — trying to avoid the IRS.

Don’t trust the hours posted, they lock the doors an hour before closing. There are plenty of better Mexican places to eat in Gilory, don’t waste your gas driving to a place that isn’t even open. They show they close on Saturday at 10pm, however I showed up at 9:22 to find locked doors, customers in line, an open sign with lights on. I customer came out so I tried to go in when I was stopped by an employee and told they close at 9pm. This is evidence of a chain growing too fast for its ability to manage.

Simply the best carne asada burritos & tacos. These are so good, I’ve never tried the other carnes. Can’t go wrong here.

With so many taco places to choose from here in Gilroy, I must admit, I’m a sucker for Super Tac. Yes folks … it’s THAT yummy and cheap! I generally stick with the Super Tacos but once I had the nacho’s and wasn’t impressed so since then I stick to Taco’s only and I’ve never been disappointed. Fresh avocado, beans, meat OHMY! My mouth is watering and my tummy is growling as I type this. This location is somewhat new and pretty good size unlike the older one down the street. Parking has never been an issue and the tables are clean and comfortable. Food comes out fast, fresh and YUMMY! Our CFO eats here way more than his wife knows(he’s on a strict kale only diet lol) because not only is the food great but the prices cant be beat for the quality and quantity of the food you get. Again … mouth is watering. I would come here several times a week if I could but I’m pretty sure my hubs wouldn’t appreciate a tub-o-lard for a wifey. Oh, very important highlight, they are a CASHONLY place. It sucks and I don’t understand why but it’s the way it is folks. However for a $ 3 service fee you can pull cash out of the ATM near the soda machine. Phew! Crisis avoided.

Very disappointed. Been a big fan of super taqueria for many years. Last few times have gone they have messed up my order. Went today and don’t even get all the order. I mean seriously your sole purpose is to make the food the way people order it and put it in a bag. How hard is it? Obviously a little too hard for some. I guess fast food isn’t easy enough for everyone.

The following review is a very«generous» two stars. Let me start off with the positives: 1. This place really is affordable. My family ordered 3 cheese quesadillas, 1 carnitas super burrito, one order of potato flautas, and 2 small soft drinks –all for under $ 18.00. 2. The burritos come with sliced avocado inside– not boring store-bought guacamole. This is a really nice touch and is the reason I am giving this place more than one star. The negatives: 1. The carnitas used in my burrito was either leftover from the previous month, or was microwaved to the point where it tasted like jerky. The carne asada, and chicken was all sliced up and stored in containers ready to serve. However, the pork used for my burrito was somewhere out of site, and had to be hand delivered by some guy in the back. The carnitas was bland, tough, and as my four year old son would say — «DISBUSTIN’» 2. The Potato flautas should be re-named –baby food taquitos. The potato filling inside was bland and there was no cheese or anything on top to add flavor. I would suggest passing on these. 3. I witnessed the guy who was preparing the food, use a sharpie pen to write on the burrito wrappers then drop the pen in the container that the beans were in. If that was bad enough, he reached his grubby little hands in the beans to dig it out. After fishing the pen out, he scoops some of those same beans into the burrito he made for me and every other customer after me. Hah? Ummm– did anyone else see that? Maybe he forgot that he was working behind a glass window and that every customer can see how the food is prepared. *** It’s no wonder that both my daughter and I had severe stomach pains about an hour after we ate here. I will not be coming back. The lack of cleanliness is something that I can’t overlook –especially considering the food itself is not that good.

Taco Bell isn’t REAL mexican food. In fact, i’m sure some sort of foreign meat by-product is used in all of their food… even though it oddly tastes good. When it comes to authentic mexican food(in a non-sit-down restaurant fashion) I always think of Super Taqueria. Their ingredients are always fresh and their selection is «to the point.» There varieties of salsas are simple but delicious. I never leave disappointed. From fresh carne asada and carnitas, to chicken and lengua, you are sure to never be disappointed in the quality, quantity and selection of protein available here. Flautas are a fail-safe, along with their«street tacos» which are always full of flavor and options to cater to your own tastes. The only downfall of this particular location is that they are a «cash-only» establishment. Aside from that, price, selection, service and cleanliness is a 5-star experience.

Ill start by saying that I have been a Super Taq fan for about 15 years. Like many people I am in love with the Super Burrito. This place definitely deserves the 5 star. Lets see how long this place can keep it up… This location is brand new and squeaky clean on the inside. There are a bunch of locations all around the south bay, but this one for sure is the best I have been to. When I was there last, my son spilled his drink all over the place, and a server taking his lunch break got up and cleaned the whole mess for us! Super Taq Service! Honorable mentions include: The Super Buritto, The Super Taco, and the Cheese Quesadilla w/salsa. Buy a small drink and refill your soda endlessly. The service is complete and fast. Good for lunch and dinner. Pour green sauce, available at the salsa cart on EVERYTHING!

Super Taq(pronounced«talk» no emphasis on the L) is a staple in Mexican food & a must try if you haven’t yet. ST is a Northern Cali based restaurant & is very authentic! The burritos, tacos, quesadillas are amazing & sure to satisfy & they are extremely quick. There’s an area for picking up lemons, limes, pico de gallo, chiles, to-go salsa cups, etc. Trust me you will not be disappointed. **CASHONLY.

Super Taqueria is a local chain of fast food Mexican restaurants with 9 locations from stretching from San Jose(4) to Watsonville and Salinas. I ordered the Super Burrito which comes with choice of meat, beans, salsa, avocado, and cheese and runs about $ 4.69. The burrito was large and delicious, though it was a tad bit messy eating it in the car. Meat choices include: asada, carnitas, pollo, adobada, lengua, cabeza, buche, and chile verde This location, on the Southwest corner of East 10th and Monterey, is in a pretty new and mostly empty center. There is a sign that states that all transactions are cash only so make sure to hit an ATM before you come.
