Good size Super Burritos for a great price. Big families can afford to eat here and not break the bank:) Food comes fairly fast. Owner Juan is a very nice person, very attentive to his customers needs. We always have a hard time choosing between here and super taqueria but majority wins each time:)

Very good and authentic. I recommend the al pastor, tortillas are handmade. They have a self serve salsa bar and the food is just simply delish!

My son and myself went there this afternoon around 3:30. The cashier was so out of focus, kept looking around like someone was out to get her nervous and so not paying attention to what she was doing. She got our order wrong. Food was dry with no taste, my family will no longer come here. I’d rather go to Taco Bell at least prices are reasonable and I always know what I’m getting.

Maybe like a 4.50. An authentic taqueria as they come! Loud banda music in the parking lot. Check. Fired up grill in the parking lot to cook meats. Check. I was the only non-Latino inside. Check. Huge rotisserie of fresh al pastor rotating like a carousel of meaty deliciousness. Check. Workers dancing and slicing meat to the rhythm of the duranguense music playing(faster than banda). Check. Soft and pliable Fresh HANDMADE tortillas the size of my forearm with the light taste of sweet corn. So delicious. Check. Ordered 4 tacos, $ 2.80 each. They have pastor, asada, lengua, pollo, cabeza, chorizo, chicharron. I didn’t but order the grilled onions to go along with your tacos. They really hook up the meat! Then fix up your your tacos with their solid salsa bar — limes, radish, onions, cilantro, pico, roja, and my favorite the verde sauce. Al pastor — great flavor and the meat is shaved off a huge spit. Lengua — super tender, super fresh, Chicken — pretty standard Asada — lean, little dry, Unilocal said to order it. I say no. So plain to me. Kickin’ myself for not getting the cabeza and chicharron. I need to come back to try the rest of their meats. The fresh tortillas really stand this place out.

Very tasty al Pastor –some of the best I have ever had! It’s marinated and cut off of a large piece of meat. Spicy too! Tortillas are very good as well– perhaps homemade. I had a burrito and my friend had 2 tacos. I felt the food was definitely over priced-2.50 for a soda! We had to clean our own table and parking was a nightmare. Not the cleanest place either…

AMAZING!!! It was such a great way to end the night. Ordered the maiz quesadilla de Asada and the super nachos w/pastor. All the ingredients were so authentic and great price. I mean come on handmade tortillas on deck and not to mention their salsa bar *dead. *rises from grave AND cashier was bilingual so ordering should be a cinch

Best. Tacos. EVER!!! This place is great. Handmade tortillas, made on the spot. Lean beef and incredible salsa. We get the tacos de asada and they are outstanding! I am yet to try other dishes, but I am a fan. Great service!

Homemade fresh tortillas! Yum. The food was good, salsa was also good. This as a stand in line and order, pick up your own food by number place. Foil lined paper plates flimsy forks and knives. The Ameca burrito is the size of your head. Also their homemade tortillas are super thick. The corn tortillas quesadilla was also the size of a normal flour tortilla quesadilla. Very inexpensive place. Kinda loud live Mexican music on Sunday nights around 8:30pm.

The huarache was not at all what I expected. I’ve only had huarache’s that were fried and crispy on the bottom. This one was soggy and floppy; hence not a true huarache. I got pastor inside and it was super spicy hot. The sour cream helped to diffuse the fire in my mouth. Price was a bit high at almost $ 9.00. We had a Vampiro which was good because it’s a fried taco but with melty cheese on it with your choice of meat. I just can’t get over how HOT their pastor is. That was only $ 3.50 and a bit more reasonable. Sodas $ 2.50? Ehhh I’ll skip it next time around.

Quality of food is fresh and flavorful. Place is a dive and parking can be tough but it’s really good food and worth the effort.

I love the carne asada and fresh corn tortillas!!! The flavor of the meat is amazing. They have a great flavor and taste. We stop by all the time for a quick taco. Glad to have them in our neighborhood. I have never been disappointed in the quality or quantity of the various dishes we have ordered. Nice salsa bar.

Best REAL Mexican food. A little greasy but the best tasting tacos quesidilla and burritos! Carne asada preferred. Well worth the price. I always get a big soda because it goes well with this Mexican food. If your a health nut I recommend staying away. For real. Lol They are also opening another one on Farrell and Monterey soon.

Me and my boyfriends favorite(and most visited) place to eat in Gilroy. I have never once been disappointed by their food. Definitely the best place to go if you’re looking for some amazing burritos or tacos. The staff is very friendly and service is fairly fast. Parking lot can get pretty crowded but the food is definitely worth it!

Simply put… DUUUUUUUDDDEEEEEEEEEETHISPLACEISSOOOOOOOOGOOOOOODDDD! The price look expensive but they HOOK. IT. UP. By far the biggest, most meaty tacos I have ever had. Their«half» torta was the size of my forearm. Their food is so excellently seasoned and their salsas are fueeeegooooo!!! Go here if you ever have the misfortune of being in Gilroy.

Found this place by chance and gave it a try because it was attracting a crowd and had fresh asada meat grilling out front! Yum! We got a couple of tacos with carne asada and a super nachos with pastor. Corn tortillas are made in house and are delicious! Meat is fantastic and pastor isn’t greasy but well seasoned and savory! We’ll be putting this spot into rotation when we’re out this way again!

Best BURRITOS Ever! Being a Mexican, I’ve had many burritos from homemade(from a variety of family members), Super Taqueria, Taco Bell, etc. However, the best burrito is from Taco Ameca(sorry grandma). Well worth the trip and price. As for the hygiene of the place, well…

If I enjoyed swatting flies while attempting to consume my overcooked and flavorless meal, i’d say i’ve hit the jackpot with Tacos Ameca. Not only is this place overpriced, but its also not very well kept. The tables are dirty, the furniture is wobbly and torn, and their salsa bar is full of flies. The food is far from what I was promised in other reviews. The meat was crunchy and overcooked, the beans and rice had absolutely no flavor and there’s a real lack of presentation. The only thing this place has going for them is their homemade corn tortillas. The experience was so unsettling, I couldn’t even finish the meal. I asked for a box to take it home and attempt to salvage what I had with ingredients at home. I can honestly say this was the worst overpriced meal i’ve attempted to consume in a while. A more promising experience could be had for cheaper, across the street at Super Taqueria.
