Terrible food! Sadly, taco bell puts this place to shame! The chips are way too thick, and the sauce is tomato sauce with hot sauce, ick. The tacos tasted like they had italian dressing on them, and the enchiladas had way too much cheap enchilada seasoning in them(still giving me troubles after taking ant-acid). The only redeeming quality was the server, but I still will not recommend or return.

So I’ve had amazing service so far. Ricardo is my server and he has such a friendly smile. Great atmosphere and food is always awesome. $ 1.10 tacos on Tuesdays! Love this place.

It’s almost 24 hours since I ate there and I am still sick. First off, a couple hours after eating lunch, I had to rush home with violent diarrhea. Later that night, I developed horrible griping pains in my abdomen. I was finally able to get to sleep at about 3:30 a.m. When I woke up at 8:00 a.m., I had the same griping pain. And still do! Given that I felt the flavor of the food and sauce was a bit off from what I’d experienced in other Mexican restaurants, maybe that should have been a dead giveaway. Or the burrito spread, swimming in grease. The Pepsi was flat. As others have commented, the chips are way too hard and the sauce(definitely can’t be called a salsa), which is way too mild, tasteless, and comes out steaming. I know there are a few other places who like to warm up their sauce, but I never get that nor enjoy it that way. The service was excellent, however, if you can handle their food, which, obviously, I cannot.

Yuck! Hard as nails chips, pretty crappy service, food has little or no flavor. I had a steak burrito. It was chewy and gristly. Felt sick to my stack for a day afterwards.

We weren’t to sure about this place at first. It’s in a strip mall in gladstone. lol However, it’s really yummy, friendly and have a great happy hour. The same man brings us our chips and food every time. My husband love him. The prices are great and the food comes fast. I love the shrimp tacos or shrimp quesadilla. I’ve ears to love the cheese dip. It’s different. The only suggestion would be to change the chips. They are really thick and crunchy but that’s my preference. My husband likes them. Try them

Los Corrals has been a family tradition in my family since I was a little girl. A friday night treat or special occasion, my children was raised on this delicious food. devastating when new owners took over, through the past few years I have tasted and seen the food change and change back again with no consistency, cheese dip please come back to ur old self! !! To make a long story short without going on and on. I introduced a friend of mine to the north land location, Ricardo the young waiter was simply amazing! The hotsauce tasted perfect, cheese dip not so much, burrito spread knocked it out of the park! Second visit a week later Ricardo yet again completely has me in wow with his customer service skills and hospitality, he has most definitely gave me hope that my young grandchild will also be able to enjoy our 30 plus years of family tradition! !! Thank you with all my heart young man

The hubby and I went, the restaurant itself looked good. The waitress was attentive. It was a Mexican restaurant so they brought out chips & salsa. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce(weird right?) and the chips got hard & brittle(not in a good way) as they cooled down… We both got a sampler type entrée and the food wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great either. Also the AC duct above our table started dripping on my husband halfway through dinner.

All I have to say is this place is NOTHING like the original my family and I have been going to the original downtown for as long as I can remember. I know the new owners say they didn’t change the recipe but that’s utter BULL the chips are thick, chewy and you may seriously risk breaking a tooth!!! Ewhhhhh ewhhh ewhhh!!! The tacos were still great and the pork & bean burrito spreads… But honestly I was VERY disappointed

The entire staff is upbeat and friendly. Food is great, huevos con chorizo are the best. Plus, Will’s hipster stache is super dreamy.

Great service and good food! Staff was incredibly friendly and on top of service! Food was good, I can’t wait to go back! Only thing is that they don’t really have any signage outside yet.

I used to go to the downtown location in the 1970s and 1980s it’s been a long time since I was there the Barito at this location tasted just like what I remembered down town and I loved it but the chips were very tough and thick and overcooked the salsa was not good I really don’t think I’ll go back I was very unimpressed surprise that they opened a location in this in this part of town

Great food, cold beer and our waitress Kelly was amazing! Homemade chips, deep fried taco shells, handmade tamales, fresh pico de gallo. Can’t wait to come back.

Love this place. The feel when you walk in is so nostalgic and it’s warmth is perfect. The food is exactly what I expected! We love the original location and everything tasted just like I imagined. There are some new items to the menu as well that were a nice surprise to see. I would highly recommend this place! The cheese dip. My favorite!

I am sorry to say I was super disappointed in my experience here. I have been to the downtown location several times and it is tolerable for a Taco Tuesday. This location was completely understaffed. I am pretty sure there was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant during the dinner rush. The waiter was very nice, but was clearly in over his head. It took us 20 minutes to get our drinks. When I did get my drink, there were no limes cut so it took another 15 minutes to get that. We ordered cheese dip that took forever to come out, and when it finally did we had to wait another 15 minutes for chips. We were told multiple times that they were making chips in the back, but when a table across from us came out they were served chips right away. The cheese dip barely had any flavor to it. The chips were soaked in grease and the salsa tasted like warm ketchup. We had asked for hot salsa but never received that either. The tacos were sub par also. I will definitely not be returning here.

We have been eating at the downtown location since the 1970’s. We were excited to give this location a try. We will be back! We got there just as it was opening. The chips: at the Downton location they are hot and greasy. Here our chips were hot but not greasy. The server brought us each a mild sauce. My suggestion is ask for hot. My family loves the hot sauce. Our entrees: We ordered burritos spead with cheese, rice and tacos. Every thing was cooked well. The food was well — platted. Every thing met or exceeded our expectations. The meat burrito was very meaty. We love the bean and pork burritos. The serving sizes are the generous ones we expected. I just reheated mine and still very tasty! The service: The food was served very quickly. Our water glasses where kept full. The décor: is cheesy. The place was very clean. We liked the music.

The experience was a little bit shaky but I think they’ll find their legs if they keep trying. My mom lives in the neighborhood and this is where she picked for her Sunday birthday lunch. We had a pretty good sized group and at best, there were three other tables taken. Our server, who seemed to also be a manager(?) had a new server shadowing him. She said virtually nothing but dutifully did what he asked her to do. He was helpful with the menu and recommended some things based on our questions. He knew the menu well. They were short on a couple items so he made it up with other things. He seemed to be empowered to make decisions and wanted to be helpful. Everyone there was kind and friendly. The food was a little better than ok. I’m not sure what’s missing, clearly the extensive construction taking place outside is troublesome now but hopefully will pay off with a fresh exterior later. I’m glad to see a new restaurant give the neighborhood a try and We’ll be back next time we’re in the neighborhood.

Friends are loyal to this restaurant and with one in the northland, super convenient. Service was fine-not above and beyond or surly and pathetic. As if perhaps he had something else to do — or not. Whatever, it’s just lunch. They serve their salsa hot— like nuked and you should probably be careful. This is a strange custom I’ve encountered a few times before in Mexican joints. It is not odious, I just don’t comprehend. I had a pretty basic bean burrito with a red sauce full of tender and tasty chunks of pork, they were not stingy with the pig:) I also had a side of guac, totally decent. Interior is nice; I know the short-lived Diego’s had done a lot of work so I don’t imagine they had to do much. All and all I would return, but I’d stop them before they had a chance to warm my salsa…

I think this restaurant should be considered Tex-Mex or maybe a «Mexican Grill». The food is far from authentic and the menu is not what you expect from your traditional Mexican restaurant. When I entered the doors there was no one there to greet or seat me, so I sat myself. That wasn’t a problem for me at all and I’ve been to plenty of places where I had to seat myself as well… so that wasn’t an issue for me. I noticed the music and the décor and figured then that this probably wasn’t the best place to go for good Mexican food. The music was more pop and the décor gave the place a more Western feel than Mexican. The menu was lacking and the prices were slightly higher than I expected, but not bad. The waitress who took my order was pleasant and ensured that I was taken care of. After I placed my order, a guy came by with chips and salsa. The chips were warm, but really thick and hard to bite into. They seemed pretty fresh, but were a lot tougher to bite into. There was also a significant amount of grease at the bottom of the basket that they were sitting in. The salsa that he brought was really hot(temperature wise)…like«fresh off of the stove» hot. I’ve never had salsa that warm and actually had to let it sit and cool before eating it. I’m not a fan of warm salsa. I ordered a cheese enchilada and a bean taco. The enchilada was small and reminded me more of a taquito than an enchilada. I’m used to enchiladas having the white queso on it, but theirs comes covered with yellow cheese. The taco was actually fried instead of the traditional hard shell, which I didn’t mind. I would actually prefer that over the traditional shell, however, it didn’t have much flavor to it. The restaurant is pretty new, so hopefully things will get better for them as time goes on. I don’t think I will be going back to eat there though.
