Carvel

This location just opened up inside of carvel. The food is made to order. hot and fresh off the grill. The menu is pretty simple but my sandwich, a phily cheese was delicious. The fries were seasoned perfectly. I think I liked them the best.
The guy who runs it, Raymond and his wife were really friendly and willing to chat with you while you wait.
This location is kind of hidden out there but worth going to…

So I’ve been dealing with this place for about a week now. I came in earlier this week to get the details of a cake I wanted to order for this coming weekend. I was told that I couldn’t place an order for this cake this weekend because the store may or may not be open. Confused, because I thought I was the customer and needed to place and order.
But anywho I compromised and said I would pick it up Friday if that’s okay. I gave the person the details on the cake and she had me write everything down on the back of a receipt she had in some jar.
So friday came, and I’m here to pick up the cake. The first thing the lady said was in sorry about the picture. I’ve tried many times and it didn’t work. I thought to myself why didn’t I receive a call about the situation so I could have done something different. She only offered to take the cost of the picture off but for the way it looked I wasn’t happy at all and neither will my goddaughter!
Although I was given a refund, I’m still without a cake that I shouldn’t came in with to begin with to order!

If I could give this zero stars, I would.
Last Friday evening (5 September at approximately 8:30p), my husband and I went in to order a birthday cake. We picked one from the freezer, and the clerk pulled it out to decorate it. When she sat it on the counter (still sealed), I noticed a hair on the cake. When I mentioned it, she first tried to pass it off as a crack. When my husband agreed, no, it’s indeed a hair, the clerk then opened the cake, picked it off, and said yes, sorry, it is. Of course, we said we no longer wanted the cake, and turned around to leave.
As we were getting into our vehicle (directly in front of the plate glass window), we observed the clerk putting that cake BACK INTO THE SALE FREEZER. Folks, if I hadn’t seen it myself, I wouldn’t have believed it. You can see how many reviews I have, and absolutely be sure that this actually did in fact happen. Store management, if I were you, I would review your videotapes from that evening, because somebody needs some remedial training STAT.
Don’t walk away, RUN.

Had to make 2 trips to get Cinnabon for a gift and they don’t open til two. At 3:00 they had one Cinnabon roll. To get the box they advertise, you have to come back an hour later because «that’s how long it takes for them to thaw. Otherwise the stuff clumps together.» Yum. Wasted day and no gift.

A beautiful fall Sunday afternoon, perfect for a trip to a Carvel for ice cream. Only NOT THIS one. Sign on door says sorry, out of Cinnabon. Unfortunately they failed to mention they were out of cones and the vanilla half of the soft serve machine was broken. The girl serving the ice cream doesn’t speak and you could tell she wished she was somewhere else, anywhere else. We won’t be coming back.

Carvel one of the few spots to find Cinnabon. My fav dessert I drive across town for.

Cinnabon is one of my favorite desserts. I was heart broken when they left the Richmond area. I was excited to hear that a Cinnabon dealer still existed in Richmond. This is the one place in Richmond where you can get an authentic Cinnabon. You can only get fresh Cinnabons if you get to Carvel early or Cinnabons in the case run out. I prefer fresh and hot buns. Service was good during check out. Employees working the Cinnabon area was nice. The atmosphere was laid back and quiet. The Carvel shop is very small. Carvel also sell ice cream but I only had a Cinnabon. If you are looking for an authentic Cinnabon, Carvel is a good choice. I give Carvel a 3.5 rating.
