My daughter and I ate here last Thursday with my two granddaughters. The food was ok. We had a hard time getting across to the waitress what we wanted. We had asked for a separate plate because my daughter was going to share with the youngest child. We did get that, had to asked for it again. Usually we ask for a take home container, not this time. Sorry.

Share some charizo and cheese with chip and a few of your favorite adult beverages for an after Christmas afternoon. We always enjoy the casual atmosphere of the bar to chat and enjoy some adult time.

I’ve been here a few times with my girlfriend and the service here isn’t the best. I often feel rushed by the waiter/waitress once they finally come to the table. There have been a few times where they acknowledged is quickly but usually there is a wait. The food is average to what I would expect. In the past I have ordered the chimichangas and the enchiladas. The portions aren’t bad, but the flavors are a little off. I don’t clams to be a chef, but I feel some of the food lacks in flavor. The chimichangas I got were filled nicely but I felt it needed some sort of seasoning or more cheese. Basically, something to give it more flavor. There have also been times where we’ve gotten dirty silverware. The cleanliness of the restaurant has also been a little concerning since there have been at least two times where we have sat at a sticky table. Overall, the food is average and the service isn’t the best. If you’re looking for a convenient place with kinda decent Mexican food this might work for you. We’ve mostly eaten here because it’s on the cheaper side but at this point I’d rather spend a few more bucks somewhere else.

I’ve visited this location for years. Over the past year we noticed some new plates and a serious decline in food. We also noticed the staff change… and service has progressively gotten worse. We waited far too long in a near empty dining room, the waiter forgot part of our order and one of the entrees was wrong. Our salsa and cheese dip didn’t taste good, and were highly suspicious(«is that half a cockroach… no, it can’t be!!») My daughter smashed whatever it was with her knife and convinced me that it couldn’t be a roach, and that I shouldn’t complain about it… teenagers. Our entrees were.*meh*.edible, I suppose. So far, no signs of food poisoning… For the first time, in probably about 20 years, I left less than a 20% tip… and a poor Unilocal review.

We eat here once a week. The Texas Margaritas are outstanding. The wait staff is courteous. The complimentary chips and salsa are very good. The grilled fish tacos are outstanding. We also like the carnitas plate and the chicken special(enchilada and burrito).

The service was horrible. We waited almost 15 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us. And the restaurant was empty. He barely came back once our food was out to refill our drinks. After working in the service industry its hard to think that someone who lives off of tips would care so little about their job.

When I think of typical Mexican food, I think spices and bold flavors. The food at Casa Grande is bland and uninspired. I don’t think anything was seasoned. Also, while ordering take-out, they decided to cram one pound of food into a half-pound bag. All of the containers were crushed and leaking by the time it got home.

We had stopped going to Casa Grande a couple of years ago because of the poor service and the fact that we were being overcharged what seemed like every time we were there. We decided give it another go last week. The restaurant was close to empty and it was only 8:00 p.m. We ordered one of the specials listed in the foyer. The meat was spoiled and the salad just wasn’t like it once was. We noticed that we didn’t recognize any of the staff, either. And, everything we ate tasted like it had chili powder added, even the salsa, which was once the best around. To top it off, we were overcharged again and had to have the man at the front desk correct our bill. He was on the phone, never greeted us or spoke to us, and left in the middle of the transaction. We had to place our receipt on the other side of the counter. So sad, considering this was once one of our«go to» places. We won’t be returning.

2 years ago. This place used to be on point. Now the service is horrible. The food still comes out on time and the drinks are okay at best. I ordered the only thing I get here chimichangas which came out actually okay. But the queso I ordered came out with my meal and was cold. Either it was my waiter or this place has just fallen off.

Eat here at least once a week. Service is unbelievable fast! The food is good and consistent, I wouldn’t call it «authentic» but there is no such thing in Richmond ! I love the«two amigos«burritos, the pan fillo burrito others recommend is also good and they have lunch specials.

Casa Grande used to be my staple for Mexican at anytime. They have several locations throughout Richmond and I could always count on their food. Over the last year or so I think the quality of the food has gone down. My wife and I had lunch with a friend and she was like, «I haven’t been to Casa in years, lets go there» Amy and I looked at each like«umm ok». We were hoping it would be better this day. First their Salsa was very bland and had no real taste to it today. Our friend got there Cheese Dip and after a few dips, exclaimed«Did they change cheese’s, this isn’t very good» Once our food came, which was quickly the Mushrooms in my Mushroom quesadilla were cold. Like they had been sitting in a pot and never heated up, the shredded cheese inside wasn’t even completely melted. My wife got a taco salad with chicken, which she said was OK, but not as good it used to be and our friend was so-so about her meal. The only champ out of the whole bunch was our 3 year old the loved his chicken nuggets and rice. It’s a shame that such a staple of Richmond for so long, is slowly going down hill. We have found other Mexican place that we frequent more often now and not sure when we will return to Casa Granda

Popped in on a whim with a coworker for dinner. Nice looking place, I thought to myself I could kick back here and pound a mexican beer or six. We sat down and ordered. Once served my friend’s steak meat smelled something awful. They took it back no questions asked but that about did it for us. My fish tacos weren’t bad but the fresca salsa was grey and old looking not colorful and fresh. Thankfully that was served on the side so I could hide it with a napkin. Soooo… best of luck to you casa

We shared an order of chicken fajita nachos recommended in a review I read and theu were awesome as advertised. We ordered way too much food but everything was tasty. My wife enjoyed the steak burrito and gave it rave reviews. The servings were generous and the service top notch. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars was the AC wasn’t cutting it… Its only fair to add that it was over 100 degrees outside so I doubt this would typically be an issue.

Only been to one other Mexican restaurant in the area but this place was by far way better! I ordered the enchilada and taco combo plate with rice and beans and my boyfriend got the big burrito, we finished everything! I liked the beef taco and something about the cheese on top was so delicious! I forget what kind of cheese it is but I loved it. Portions were huge, prices were cheap and quality was great. I will definitely be returning next time we crave Mexican.

Casa Grande is a regular stop for my wife and I. The food is very good and for the money a great value. The service is typically prompt and the wait for table is usually short. What’s not to like. Try the fajita nachos… they are so good!
