I pretty much can’t pass up any bookstore I walk into. This one is situated in cute downtown Glen Ellyn. It’s a bit on the small side, and doesn’t have the hugest selection, but the staff is eager to take orders. It’s independently owned, so go support it instead of shopping at Buns and Noodle! Incredibly helpful and friendly staff.

It was a treat to find an independent bookstore in the little village of Glen Ellyn. I browsed for a bit, found a couple of books, then … Oh dear. THECARDSECTION. 5 stars to you, The Bookstore greeting card buyer! I’m a card fanatic, and I found many styles that I’d never seen before. I twirled and twirled those racks around to be sure I’d seen them all! I finally had to tell myself, «Step away from the cards.» They made up the majority of my purchase, but that’s okay — the people I’ve sent them to love them as well!

We went here for a book signing for a local author last night and it was a nice experience. It’s a small independent bookstore and I’m sure they are popular with the Glen Ellyn crowd. There is a great children’s section. I was a little disappointed in the psychology and the spirituality/inspirational sections but found many interesting books in other sections. They have a good cookbook section. I liked that they had«staff picks». They had super cool greeting cards– a big selection– and some even had recipes inside. The people working were nice and welcoming and I appreciated that they let Ten Thousand Villages have a display there too since it went along with the book(Refuse to Do Nothing by Shayne Moore and Kimberly McOwen Yim).

This is a cute, small independent bookstore in downtown Glen Ellyn. The selection of course isn’t going to be as big as the big box bookstores, but it is still good. They did have some of the hit books there. I didn’t really interact with the staff, but did find some good ideas for books to give as holiday gifts. I felt bad that I didn’t buy and support the local store, but I feel better getting a better deal for them online.

This place is so cute! I love independent bookstores and this place was no exception. I bought a travel book which I am excited to read and a couple other family members I was with bought some books too. The feel of this place is so cozy and reminds me of the bookstore in You’ve Got Mail that Meg Ryan’s character owns. you know the one! My only negative is the magazine section-just a couple local and Chicago ‘zines.I LOVE magazines so a bigger selection would have been nice. Overall, cute, cozy place!

This Bookstore is the ultimate independent Bookstore package. It is located on Main street Glen Ellyn, staying alive in a world that is always moving corporate. It is cute inside, and usually has music playing. It has a great staff that is very helpful and knowledgeable, and they put their reviews inside many of their books. Also, there is actually a staff-pick shelf, and a book group spinning shelf, that have great books /recommendations. This is a cozy place to browse, read, and find awesome gifts. I always stop in when I’m in downtown Glen Ellyn.

Bookstore with a bare-bones name and a pretty bare-bones setting(ambiance is somewhat lacking), but it’s nice that downtown Glen Ellyn has a little book shop to call its own. Selection of the newest titles from the Publishers Weekly hit list, augmented by little reviews from the people who work there(always a nice touch). Not a giant store but decent for perusing purposes if you’re trolling around downtown.
