I live up the street from this place. I took my wife here one night for a romantic desert. The place was nice and the service was great. The place has closed and a new business is opening called Heirloom Tavern, the same owners as the Brass Rail. Promises to be good!

It seems to be a trend here with ON, I too remember my experience going oh not so smooth. My first thing I noticed was the service was spotty at best and I felt somewhat ignored. I attempted to sit at the bar but was quickly shooed away by a host or manager person, making my way to the connected dining area I was seated a little too close to the table next to me but I was ok with that. The food to me was less then impressive, it was served nicely but lacked some basic seasoning, the service left me in the dark and when asking for more water for the table… Well we began to dehydrate. I don’t think I have been back since. It’s too bad, it is a very nice place, with a great décor and sophisticated atmosphere that could have some great potential.

Went for restaurant week because the menu seemed pretty appealing. I ended up pretty disappointed — food was average, the portions were pretty small and server didn’t even offer us bread until requested. I would not return.

Top notch food and ambiance, especially if you choose the outdoor patio. Never disappointed.

I really wish Unilocal had a negative star rating because I would most certainly give this place a negative 5. It was by far the worst food I had ever eaten. The wait staff was attentive and kind but my god the food was atrocious. The meat I had ordered came to me rare, rare, rare, it was inedible. I never send food back, ever, but I had to. The chef, who I believe is slightly psychotic, had the nerve to come out and claim they don’t do ‘do-overs’. Never ever go here.
