Kenny’s Subs Shop

First of all, I am very upset with the delivery not the people at the place. The driver called me and said my order was here. I was like well why are you not at my door. He said we are not allowed to come to the door. Well that is not delivery to me then they expect a tip. The driver lied for one. I heard this place is good but they just lost a good customer. Drivers will hurt the business I tell you. I am so DONE!!! Never again. He did not want to get out cause it was cold outside, not my problem.

Greeted with a smile and friendly hello when I arrived.
Ordered mixed vegetable with tofu and chicken and broccoli. Both dishes were OK. The prices were great. However this place has one major problem which is why I given only one star. And that is it is an extremely dirty restaurant.
I went to the bathroom while waiting, and when I entered it smelled of urine. The bathroom floors were greasy which tells me that they had not been properly cleaned in days. Also I noticed a lot of food on the floors and a lot of tables were left dirty.
After glancing back to the kitchen I noticed the same thing as food was all over the floors.
I called over one of the employees who was working at the cash register to tell him that the bathrooms were dirty. He responded that they have been too busy to clean that day.
My concern was not taken seriously.
Pros: prices were affordable conveniently located. Friendly and polite greeting.
Would I go there again?
Absolutely not. Not until I know they start cleaning this place. It’s just a matter of time before someone gets sick.

I was skeptical to try this place because most of the reviews are positive and there was only one pic. I decided to try it anyways.
The reviews don’t lie. This place is really good. I think I finally found my new to go place. I ordered a small shrimp lo mein and it was yummy. The small size is a perfect for one person or two. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the shrimp tasted perfectly cooked and fresh.

This is the best carry out ever! Wonderful service! Great food! Also the Kennys in Greenbelt

I should have went with my first choice and went to Chipotle, but the line was out the door (as usual). So I walked around the corner and saw Kenny’s and thought why not haven’t been here before give them a try. Bad move… first I stood there for at least 5 minutes before someone decided to come an take my order. The young lady was not very personable, anyway I took a seat… checked my phone, watched their TV… minutes started rolling by. I was wondering how long could it take to fix shrimp/​pork fried rice. My receipt had 1:47 and it was 1:58. I stood up and walked to the door an stood there for a few more minutes, then I decided to go to the counter to ask how much longer… well aparently my food was just sitting there amongst the call in orders. Now mind you the one who took my order knew I was sitting there and never acknowledge that my order was ready. What’s the point of having numbers on the receipt if they are not going to call them out? So before I could say anything, she just handed me my bag and turned around. Made me late coming back to work and my food was not hot. My grandmother use to say «The first impression is a lasting impression!» with that said, I will not be returning, I will ride over to Campus Way South to Jerry Yums! They are very efficient and courteous…

What I should’ve asked for when I ordered here was dry fried rice, (so dry I almost choked trying to swallow it down), a burnt steak and cheese egg roll, and over cooked chicken with unappealing seasonings. I seldom eat Chinese so whilst browsing for a bite (and seeing that Firehouse Subs is still not open), I bit the bullet and came into Kenny’s. I was greeted, (not so much), by the front staff clerk (with a long pointy beard) to be chowing down on some general tso chicken with veggies and white rice. He didn’t greet me at all. I guess his food was that good. He continued to eat, and I grabbed a menu to see what I was destined to order. Saw wings with friend rice and thought nothing could go wrong with a basic meal, and got his attention to place my order. The food took forever to ready for take out, and I don’t know why. I thought this was a good thing, (at first), as most of the other Chinese spots that I’ve been to (back in the day), had your food to you in less than 5 minutes. I waited at least 15, so I believed that they were cooking me some fresh and hot food! Boy was I wrong! I was suckered… The steak and cheese egg roll was SO overcooked that every crunchy bite I took fell everywhere in my car. Upon first bit I discovered that the egg roll was a dark brown color (which probably meant that they cooked this egg roll earlier and then dropped it in the fryer again it for me to take home). The rice and the chicken was very dry and tasted old and overcooked as well. The rice does not have a good taste to it either. If it wasn’t for the 1 pack of soy sauce that they gave me I don’t know how I would’ve managed! I did not eat all of the food simply because it was a severe choking hazard and unappetizing. They also gave me 1 little cup of mumbo sauce for 5 wings. And don’t be fooled. When they say 5 wings, they mean 5 small wings. When I saw how big they were I was about to just request a refund, (or replacement), but for $ 6.50 I just left it alone. Needless to say, I will stick to the carryouts in the hood because they give you good food for cheap prices in a New York minute.

Best Chinese food around the area! We don’t normally have the best choices of Chinese Carry out around the Largo area and so far this is the best around and they deliver! Fried fish with fries and chicken with mixed veggies are two favorite dishes here. Their mambo sauce is actually pretty good.

Good solid Chinese take-​out, a definite improvement over most of the Chinese take-​outs in this section of PG. Good location in Woodmore shopping center, around the corner from Best Buy, on one of those little streets in the shopping area. Chinese food was way better than Wegman’s.
Large servings, great value … hot and sour soup was great, the kung pao shrimp loaded with decent sized shrimps and with just a slight amount of heat.
I’m keeping a menu in my car… if I’m driving home via the beltway and craving Chinese, this place far outshines any others I know of between work and home.
They also had an extensive «American» menu of fried foods and subs, but I think the Chinese dishes win.

My new go-​to place for Chinese take-​out. I come in from Hyattsville to pick it up. I love how close it is to Wegman’s, so I can do my shopping and pick up dinner all in one trip! Nothing that delivers in my area is even worth my time. Huge portions. Lunch specials are enough for two people, easily, and I am a big eater. They have to put rubber bands around their containers to keep them closed. One time, while I dined in, I saw another patron get fried shrimp and fries. I couldn’t believe just the pile of food he had. I might have to try that in the future.
General Tso’s was impressive, crispy chicken, good not-​too-​thick sauce with just enough heat. Chicken on a stick is really good, as well. Egg rolls are fat and full of filling. My husband loves the soup. Only thing I don’t like, is the bean sprouts in the rice.

Not the best choice for carry-​out. Had a couple bad experience with the meat products from here. Plus the mambo sauce is way too watery.

I tried the steak and cheese, french fries and chicken wings, The seasoning for the steak and cheese was pretty good shame that they totally overcooked it. While I was waiting on my food I saw someone eating a steak and cheese and I thought «wow the meat looks pretty dry, I hope my food isn’t overcooked». Well lo and behold I was right eeeewww!
The fries were… just plain nasty. Like they didn’t cook them all the way and neglected to put salt. pepper or anything on it for that matter. I wonder what kind of grease they were using because the fries didn’t have any taste to them at all.
The chicken wings weren’t impressive at all.
Overall my opinion is I will not be returning to this place. They have too much competition around them that are doing a way better job.

Sauces are salt-​laden
Sweet and sour shrimp stinks (go elsewhere for fresh seafood)
There are better Chinese restaurants with better food, better prices and they actually greet you when you walk in.

If you have a taste for Chinese food its not bad for carry out but not a great pick. They

I ordered a fish sub, fries, orange chicken, and veg lomein. The fish sub was HUGE. It was very good and the fish was nice and crispy. The fries were better than your average sub shop fries, maybe a little on the greasy side but what do you expect. The orange chicken was just so so.

Horrible rice, there fried rice is really yellow rice. When you order a lunch special the rice is drenched in sauce. The only thing good is the general tsp wings.
