CONSAZON — Driving around Glendale/Burbank one night we were thinking of just getting burgers, then the call for Lomo Saltado jumped into my head. We remembered this little place we had been meaning to stop at for years. It was a wonderful treat. I felt like I was in someone’s kitchen in Lima. Delicious food and wonderful service, will be back again.

I ordered: –Papa Rellena-Excellent –Ceviche de Pescado– Excellent –Lomo Saltado– Excellent –Tallarin Verde– Super Excellent! The place was easy to find, small parking lot but luckily it had a few open spaces. The restaurant itself was very clean and seemed like a great atmosphere to eat in. I actually ordered to go and the food was incredibly warm and delicious 45 minutes after having picked it up. The staff there were extremely welcoming and courteous. I plan on coming back soon to dine in and try some more of their dishes.

I am 100% Peruvian and I have to admit that the food is as good as my Mom’s. If you like authentic Peruvian food I recommend this place.

Just tried this place out today I really wanted Peruvian food but my fave place is all the way In lawndale(super mission since I live in tujunga) my husband has taken me to another place by us also in Glendale but I don’t really care for that place so I was excited when he told me he noticed this place while working so I checked the place out on Unilocal, looked decent so we decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did! I loved it! Place is nice, the service was great very friendly people the food was delicious and the portions were big(which I love) I ordered a tallarin de pollo very good flavor and their green sauce was so tasty and spicy, my husband ordered a plate I forgot the name of it but it was a pork fried rice and wow the flavors In that dish were amazing I will definitely be ordering that plate next time! Prices are very reasonable They have parking in the back of the building and they serve you yummy fresh birrote(bread) while you order with butter and a side of their yummy green sauce. I’m happy that I finally found a good Peruvian restaurant close to me! Yay! Can’t wait to go back

This place was good but in comparison to other places I’ve been to it’s not as great. The portions are large and the food really does have«sazon» It was very flavorful! I ordered the fish ceviche and it was very fresh with large pieces of fish. The lomo Saltado was good but tasted a little off. Like almost burnt or too salty. Their green sauce was good but not as spicy as I would have wished. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I wish you could buy only one alfajor instead of the box they sell for $ 6 but oh well! Haha bought it Anyway.

Lately I’ve been venturing around for Peruvian food and this place really delivers. Wanted to play it safe so I went with the Lomo Saltado. Very very fast and friendly service. I’ve always loved when a restaurant is busy and the waiters still make sure that you don’t feel unattended, it means a lot and it’s not common for the most part. The Lomo Saltado was really great, serviced with it’s common companions, Rice and a bread roll. I drizzled some of their spicy green sauce on it for an extra kick, but to be honest the dish could easily stand alone and over deliver even without the sauce. Will definitely be coming back soon, I saw someone else order the rotisserie chicken and it took every ounce of strength out of me to not pull that off the waiters platter as he walked passed me haha. Just as a heads up, the parking here is very limited, you’re better off trying to find street parking, DONOT park at Golden farms market across the street, they will tow your vehicle and make sure to monitor the parking lot consistently, aside from that Enjoy!

Impressed by the delicious ceviche de pescado. That dísh alone is what will keep me coming back. We hadn’t had fried yucca in a long time so we got that for a appetizer. It was super salty, I fought past the salt to eat them because I wanted yucca so bad I wanted to love it, but I couldn’t. Next up we we got the fried seafood I think it’s called jalea de mixto? Freaking delicious. They definitely got their seafood spot on. For dessert we ordered alfajores. Those fell short of my expectations I probably wouldn’t order them again. The ones I’ve had in the past had a sweeter denser cookie. These were thin and crispy and not very sweet. I’ve had a few like that but, I really wanted something sweet after all the salty food. Parking was confusing the street at the front entrance was full. The side parking was full and would have been a nightmare to back out of. We weren’t sure we were able to park in the back of the restaurant either. After circling the block twice, we decided to park across the street at the market. Over all I enjoyed the food, and would definitely come back even if to order for takeout.

I’ve been to Don Felix, Mario’s and Mamitas… But this place merits a review. I had the Saltado with chicken and shrimp, my parents had the bisteq a Lo pobre and pork fried rice and we all loved it. Will without a doubt come back for more. The customer service was excellent as well.

The ceviche was one the better ones I have tried in a long time. The lomo saltado was good but not spectacular. It’s a nice option when you are in the Glendale/Burbank area. Mario’s in Hollywood is still a better choice.

Haven’t been here in quite some time. This place still holds my heart for Peruvian food. Awesome+. Now they sell King Kong and Turron.(Peruvian pastry) and Peruvian chocolates. Being here makes me feel a bit of a taste of home. The service is wonderful. Food takes a bit of time to prepare. .but honestly if you are familiar w true Peruvian food you know it cooks all day. This place is a gem.

The worst lomo saltado I’ve tasted, the taste of the juice was just terrible. I also order papa rellena which was ok it was a bit salty but I did liked the raw onions in lemon. The only reason I give it two stars was because the ceviche mixto was actually good it had lots of lemon flavor. My bill total for the lomo, potato, n ceviche was $ 38 oh and they charged me for water. Would I go back? Hum yea but I wouldn’t order the lomo again n ask for less salt on the papa rellena.

This eatery is THEBOMB!!! Hands down the BEST Peruvian cuisine in Glendale/Burbank. All versions of their Ceviche are great! Tangy, tart & full of Sazón! All their saltado’s are exceptional as well! Make sure to get an order of «salsa criolla» to go with your meal. Mix a bite of your entrée with the«salsa criolla» and you’ll be in HEAVEN! It’s literally like a Caribbean/tropical/South American beach party fiesta in your MOUTH!!! Simply brilliant!

Been wanting to try this place for over a year maybe two but the last time I tried I found it closed. Anyhow last night as I was making dinner plans my date and I decided to try this place out. At first it seems we are in someones living room but its a family restaurant and not because there was a family eating or kids screaming but it was the owners kids there doing homework, watching TV and one little boy throwing a tantrum. Well after ordering we went with the calimar, lomo saltado and tarrallin de pollo. Their green sauce is freaking good, very spicy, well more a kick to your senses. The lomo saltado was ok, tried the shrimp and potato and it was just ok. My tarrallin on the other hand was delicious. Now I have two places that I love to have this dish but this one last night isn’t far off, close though. The calimar was good as well, server brought us the tartar sauce out late, its mayo based and I have never seen it served with calimar in my other places, maybe some pico de gallo but not tartar sauce. Service was okay. Very attentive but only one server, once a large group arrived she was busy with them, by then we were done. Cook/Owner came out to see if all was good. And it was, but not sure about the screaming kid and the loud TV novela on… Anyways, I have now another place I know I will have a good dish when I want Peruvian.

Muy rica la comida! Lo único que no me gusta es que cuando pides para llevar te ponen menos comida.

Warning: it’s hot inside… no AC, but they have fans running. The inside isn’t anything to talk about, but the food speaks for itself. The lomo saltado was solid, but not the best I’ve ever had. The pollo aguadito — Peruvian chicken soup was comforting and huge! The yucca is solid. The green sauce is awesome and the complimentary bread comes out warm. The potato croquette was interesting and my boyfriend liked it better than the ones at Portos. I bought some alfajores to go, and they were buttery delicious!

Sunday afternoon and feeling kind of, wait, very super lazy… but I could feel an onset of immediate hunger creeping up and hoping to avoid a confrontation with the BF on deciding what to eat for 30 minutes & an episode of ‘hangriness’ I whipped out my phone and pulled up trusty adviser, Unilocal. What was I in the mood for? Chinese? No. Hamburger, Pizza? No and no. Salad? Hell to the NO. Hmmm… you guessed it boys and girls, Peruvian! Music to my ears and then some. I was going to suggest Lau’s but it looks like they’re closed on Sundays and Con Sazón popped up annnd it was within a 5 mile radius, woo hoo! I hustled the BF out the door and we arrived at Con Sazón 10 minutes later, not bad. Venue is located along San Fernando Road. The inside isn’t spectacular(like Los Balcones in Hollywood, but that’s Hollywood for ya) however it radiates a somewhat«homey» feeling. Anyway, we browsed through their menu and prices were around $ 13 for an order of lomo saltado, which we ordered. We also got saltado de camarones and two fruit drinks: strawberry & pineapple, both very tasty and refreshing. The lady that took our order and rang us up didn’t speak English too well but luckily I was able to put my 3 years of Spanish I took in high school to good use and between the both of us we managed to get the job done. The bill came out to around $ 35. When our to go order arrived(about 10 mins later) the owner, Carlos came out to chat with us. He was very friendly and made small talk with the BF and me. He asked if we tried other Peruvian spots and said we have. he asked which and we rattled off a few: Lima Limon, Los Balcones de Peru, Marios, Las Dunas… Surprisingly(to us at least) he had been to every single one and knew all the owners! The Peruvian entrepreneurs must have a small community, which I thought was kind of cool. He joked about a few of them and boasted his was the best, wink, wink ;) Eventually we parted ways and unveiled our packed goods at home. The food was good; I thought the beef could have been a little more tender but the flavors were what you would expect to eat when eating Peruvian, particularly saltado. I will give them two thumbs up on their spicy green sauce, had my nose dripping, unlike the boring, sorry excuse for«spicy green sauce» over at Bonano’s Chicken — yawn.
