It was my 1st time to check this place out for late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. To my surprise!!! _It is so clean and very descent compared to the«turo-turo» cafeteria style Filipino Fast –Food shops out there in EagleRock or in the Valley. Food quality is decent — You cannot complain on the price. Considering where it is located. Well, if you are a «Glendalian» — You will understand, why. But the portions are very generous. 1 order of entrée is already good for 3 ppl to share — for small filipino like me _Yes its enough. Service is alright. I guess it’s the owner who is serving that time. We will be back. PARKING is the only hassle. * This is also a sit-down — Do not expect«BUFFET Style — Turo — Turo» … Oh wait, They only accept CASH. Overall — I am Happy to have you in our«G’ Hood!

Walked in with my family last night and the two employees on sight didn’t even look up to to greet us. Figured okay, looks busy. So we stood there for couple of minutes to be seated. Still no hi, hello, or heyy just a sec. Finally asked if we seat ourselves or if we should wait for them. The lady finally looks up to tell us that there aren’t any spots for a party of 7& that we need to wait. My party was right in the middle of the restaurant, standing, and unable to even get to the register area to speak to her properly. She tells us to sit anywhere(no waiting area), then she points to a table for 4, where we can wait til another opens up. We all walked out and decided to eat at Max’s instead.

I’ve been hearing about this restaurant Fiesta sa Barrio. So I decided to give it a try. Guess what the service is so slow and all the stuff are very unfriendly, they dont smile at all. They have serious faces and very unpleasant. Not to mention they serve us leftover days rice. What can I say except we are not going back to eat there.

Great food at a fair price. Large portions. Just wished the sinigang bangus was boneless. Will definitely be coming back.

After being turned off by the one-hour wait at the popular Max’s Chicken in Glendale, we turned to Fiesta Sa Barrio for our Filipino food craving and for halo-halo. We called Fiesta sa Barrio and was able to snag a table. With it being graduation night, Max’s was packed and Fiesta sa Barrio or Barrio Fiesta would be the next best thing in the area. When we arrived there was a large group already there celebrating some high school graduation. It’s a small restaurant and it looked like the owners also functioned as servers. We ordered the following their menu: Kare-Kare — my most favorite dish of the night. Super rich peanut flavor with tender chunks of oxtail Crispy Pata — It was probably better or as good as Barrio Fiesta’s crispy pata Sinigang na baka — The soup seemed to be missing something or meat not so tender. It could use some tweaking to their recipe. I couldn’t place what was so off about this dish. Max’s Chicken makes a far more superior sinigang. Maybe it wasn’t sour enough at Fiesta sa Barrio. Halo-Halo — Instagram-worthy dessert topped with green pinipig and ube ice cream adorned with a cheesy cocktail umbrella. The service was friendly and very hospitable. I felt like I was in a Filipino family’s home over dinner. It was a very busy night for the couple so I realized the pressure was on for them this evening. At the same time, I still sensed the warmth and care for customers at their restaurant. The owner is from Quezon City, while the cook came from Barrio Fiesta. I find it funny they totally copied and reworked the name of the more established«Barrio Fiesta» restaurant.

Tried calling in to order pick up at 8:55pm on a Wednesday. They responded that they couldn’t place any orders bc it’s too busy and they have other orders in front of me AND that I have to call later… UMWHAT??? All I wanted was sinigang. Bye.

I live down the street, and liked getting out and supporting a local business. Plus it was good food and generous portions!

By far THEEBEST Filipino restaurant around the Glendale and Eagle Rock area. Originally located off of Eagle Rock Blvd, the new place is cleaner yet maintains the quality and authenticity of Filipino cooking. A few times, a couple of my non-filipino friends are curious to try Filipino cuisine, and without hesitation I recommend this establishment. None have yet to be disappointed. A few highlights about this place is the portion size and decent prices. Most dishes range from cheap(5 – 7 dollars for different types of fried rice) and entrees and proteins are anywhere around 10−15+ dollars. Upon our last visit, the following items were ordered: 1) Bagoong Fried Rice: Comes with Lechon Kawali pieces on top and mixed in 2) Garlic Fried Rice 3) Beef Tapa 4) Kenshi Steak: Apparently bone marrow is mixed into the white sauce; the one served in the older location actually had bone pieces with the marrow intact; something I miss and wish they implemented again 5) Pork sisig: :ADVICE: Normally sisig is a mixture of pork jowl, ear and shoulder. However, you can ask for PORKBELLY sisig instead, where it is deep fried and crunchy. Excellent and the only place I feel has the right consistency between crispy of the outside yet still juicy in the center(must get item) Overall, this is a solid place to visit. Owners/servers are attentive and food is usually brought out promptly. Just make sure to not eat too much before coming here, as many Filipino foods are rich and heavy(not that I’m complaining, but my arteries in the future might).

I see this is a 4 star good place. Although today I think they need help 3 dirty tables, the person who took my order was friendly, he asked another lady to ring me up but she mumbled away. I really don’t like writing bad reviews but they need some«rude awakening». Hey! this place is new show some«hospitality». In fairness the food is tasty!!! yum! I hope they hire more people to clean the tables

Chicharon bulaklak, crispy pata, and the inihaw na fish! Ang sarap. Can’t wait to try the sinugba platter and the kenchi steak. We ordered to go, pati the condiments were really good, very put together. Problem Lang is the parking, but other than that. A++

First time eating here, and was very happy! We ordered shrimp sinigang and garlic fried rice, yum. They’re very generous with their serving. What we ordered was perfect for two people. We also got one delicious order of halo-halo. Oh man, we were really full after that! Great, clean, delicious and reasonable pricing.

If you’re Pinoy you better come and patronize this place. They have everything your lola will prepare for you without flying to your hometown in the Philippines. If you notice that they have no Unilocal post for 2015. That is because they got this place a year ago and haven’t gotten this spot ready for the grand opening until two weeks ago. Frank the owner is great. He is also the lone server and busboy. He just have a cook inside the kitchen whom he said used to work with him in the old Original Barrio Fiesta of a decade ago. His wife also helps out in the food preparation. Frank used to be a server of the old Barrio Fiesta. Just a side comment to the present day Barrio Fiesta which is a few blocks from this place that I don’t like their kare kare. I like Fiesta sa Barrio kare kare more. I also enjoyed the crispy pata and boullabaise. Frank had the same named restaurant in Eagle Rock now this place which is more spacious and they deserve all the support we can give a fledging pinoy business. He is a success in his own right. You can get all your filipino delights as authentic as it gets. Check the new menu I posted in the photos. Their dishes are masarap. I’m sure your Lola will agree.

Authentic, delicious and very reasonable prices. So happy I finally found a great Filipino restaurant that reminds me of home! Customer service was great and the interior is very clean. We ordered garlic fried rice, shrimp singing and halo halo. True Pinoy food and huge portions!

This place is unbelievable! It is true ‘pinoy’ home cooking and every plate we have ordered has been amazing. The entire restaurant is run by 3 people: a waiter, a chef, and dishwasher/helper so don’t expect fast service. My advice is to order what you want, take it easy and relax and sip on your buko juice while you wait for your food, feast and enjoy your food, say salamat and leave a nice 20% tip as these guys deserve every bit of it. Best plates so far: beef steak Tagalog, lechon kawali, pansit, adobo. 5 stars for sure.

CASHONLY establishment! You’ve been warned. Almost a 5 star but the fact they only take cash is a bit of a turn off for me. I don’t think ppl these days carry hundreds of dollars in their wallet. I don’t frequent Filipino restaurants but when I had a sudden craving for crispy pata my niece remembered this place to have good Unilocal.Glad they were open on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was also glad I had cash on me. We ordered an array of deep fried yumminess. crispy pata, lumpia shanghai, and chicharon bulaklak. We also ordered kare-kare and broiled squid. Everything were delicious and tasted fresh. For dessert we ordered the halohalo and buko pandan. The pandan needs a tad more sweetness and creaminess to it but otherwise it was decent. I love how they served the steamed rice and karekare in a traditional rice cooking pot. We walked away satisfied and our bellies happy.
