I have been going almost every Saturday for months and I’m done with this place! The quality and service has been going down hill. I also feel I got bad service because the severs are mad that I purchased some bread from the bakery next door, and it was sold out when they wanted some. I was greeted by the server by him telling me that he «knew me» then when I took the bait he said yea«your the guys that bought all the breads we wanted» We then get No refills on coffee offered and it took over 45 min for our basic food. Stale bread, and anything asked for like water or jam did not come. Normally they will do a substitution with extra cost today they won’t… It really felt like we got poor treatment as revenge.

I took my parents here for Father’s Day Dinner and we all fell in love with the dishes that we ordered! Their rainbow trout is as good as it gets when it comes to fish dishes in restaurants and the dessert was to die for. I’m coming back for sure!

Came here for lunch today here at the Americana. Our waiter was Matt and he introduced the concept of the restaurant and how almost everything was made from scratch here. They won’t do modifications unless it’s for dietary or allergy reasons. The uptown mac and cheese appetizer was amazing, wasn’t too dry and it wasn’t too watery. The cheese coated on the macaroni was spot on. The peas, roasted chicken pieces and veggies added a great mix to the dish. This was one of the best macaroni and cheese dishes I have had. We wanted to try a few different sandwiches do we told Matt, to have the pastrami sandwich and patty melt cut in half so we can both try them. For all we know these probably come cut anyway but we felt really accommodated. Both the sandwiches were great and the fries and sweet potato fries complemented the entrees well. I’ll definitely come back the next time I get a chance since I forgot to redeem the free yuzu lemon chill dessert with a Unilocal check in.

Love going here I always get the tacos, but I prefer them all shrimp. They taste great and the price isn’t bad since it’s a decent restaurant. If you’re really hungry go for the pork chop it’s the best thing in the menu. Gotta try the sweet potato fries with the lemon aoli… yum. man just writing this is getting me hungry. Lol Only bad thing about this spot it’s kinda too dark inside, I know sounds insignificant but it’s kinda a downer. All in all I really enjoy eating here.

I love coming here. The hamburgers and grilled cheese are great! The strawberry lemonade is on the stronger tart side so I asked for extra strawberries. The ambiance is casual. The service here is great! Smiles all around and the servers are very helpful.

Americana had a date night promotion and Granville Café was one of the participating restaurants. Location: 4 stars(It’s at The Americana which is good if you plan on doing some shopping or see a movie) Server: 5 stars(I was impressed. He knew the menu really well and even gave us recommendations. He was on top of of things but not annoying) Food: 4 stars(My husband and I ordered the same thing so I can’t speak for the other items on their menu. But what we had was delicious. They didn’t have any condiments on the table which I understood after taking my first bite — the food didn’t need it as it was well-seasoned. I was starving when I sat down and ate quite a bit of my food but still had enough leftover to take home, always a plus. We intend to come back and try their brunch soon.

The food here is sooo amazing. I ordered a BBQ Chicken Plate and a Blue Moon. I went in thinking the restaurant would be expensive because of the location and the fact that they offer good quality ingredients but it was actually very affordable including their drink menu. My Blue Moon was $ 5 and food was $ 12. The portion size was perfect to me. Not too much but not too little. The BBQ Chicken Plate came with mustard slaw and mashed potatoes. I was a bit hesitant to try the slaw because I don’t like typically like it and I don’t like mustard but after the waiter described how it is served I decided to try it anyway. My chicken was tender, the mashed potatoes were the perfect amount of thick and the slaw was delicious. I’m sad this restaurant is far from where I live but I will definitely be returning here when I’m in the area again.

After loving the Studio City location, decided to try the Glendale version last weekend. It was our first experience at The Americana Caruso development, which was an added bonus. Er, challenge — parking-wise, that is! Once we snagged a parking spot and made our way to the restaurant, we we able to be seated at a patio table after a short wait. It’s a primo spot for people watching. There were a lot of families out on a Sunday in the late afternoon. Our server, Clay, was great. Took good care of us, and was helpful, attentive, and friendly. Once ordered, food and beverage came out promptly, then we could savor and relax. Really enjoyed the lobster bisque. Delicately seasoned, with enough lobster to ensure that I knew what a treat it was in a very generously-sized«cup». Kalamata Artichoke artisan pizza on whole wheat crust has a light handed crust and layers of flavor with fontina, mozzarella, and feta cheeses. 2 slices were plenty after having the soup, so I have yummy leftovers for lunch several days this week! Rooibos hot tea arrived in a unique steeping pot with a variation on French press. All good! Dear hubby enjoyed his Prangster draft beer and the beef Stroganoff dish. The latter featured a generous dollop of horseradish aioli and onion straws, which is an inventive twist. Again, a plentiful portion. More delish leftovers! Only the Berry Patch Shortcake was a slight disappointment. They have an individual size for $ 7 or a shareable size at $ 12. 12 bucks for a shareable dessert seems like it’s pushing the pricing envelope. We went for the single size between us. The shortcake itself was flaky and tasty, but there weren’t enough berries or whipped cream to balance the cake part. One major distraction while sitting on the patio — both Granville and Caruso were playing music. Caruso’s was quite loud and hailed mostly from the Rat Pack era. Granville’s was more eclectic, but leaning to music from this millennium. The two definitely clashed and became too much of a good thing. Also, they seemed to be short on bus staff. The two tables flanking ours remained full of dirty dishes for longer than you’d expect at the time of day we visited, which started to take away from the ambiance.

Yummy(read: strong) drinks, great food, and a service staff who actually look and sound like they don’t mind working there… I had a great experience at Granville. I had the steak sandwich, and I LOVED that it wasn’t tough or difficult to eat. I usually try to avoid steak sandwiches because I hate that most of the time, the steak is hard to bite through and it all just gets so messy. Not here. I loved every bite of it! I was also told that it’s a great place to just meet up with friends, sit at the bar, and enjoy a drink(or three) at the end of a long day… and I believe it. I definitely will be going back the next chance I get!

For subpar food, this place is extremely overpriced. I’ve been here about 4 or 5 times now and every time I go, I tell myself that I will never return; however, I still somehow find myself back there because there is no wait. Of course there is no wait because the food is overpriced and subpar. They have since changed out the french fries to a bigger floppier fry. Further, it is probably my fault, but I ordered an pork soba bowl from here. Why I am ordering this from an American restaurant? It was not good. The waiter told me it was good and so I ordered it and when he came to ask me how it was I told him«eh» and I think he took it as «he likes it.» In any case, not good.

Simple and Sweet I came here with a friend looking for a place to eat while doing some shopping at the Americana/Glendale Galleria. The décor of this place is absolutely fantastic/romantic. The food however was alright. my friend and i got the Mac n cheese as a starter and as for the main dish i got the beef stroganoff. both were good but just way to salty for my taste. i left wanting to drink a lot of water. The staff here are charming as they tend to your every needs as well as make you feel comfortable. prices were good as portions are definitely on the generous side.

Was in the area grabbing breakfast with my sis, and although we hadn’t planned on eating at Granville, the parking was atrocious on a weekend morning, so just grabbed a spot at the Americana. Granville validates so parking was Free! They have a small patio outside, but when we stepped up there was a bit of a wait for a patio seat, so we sat at a hightop at the bar instead. Server greeted us and we ordered a round of Chai Tea Lattes. These were brought quickly, but they were pretty rich and sweet(didn’t finish mine). I decided to order the Greek Style Gran-Omelette. Feta, baby spinach, red onion and roma tomato. I was concerned they would bring out a giant omelette, but I was very happy with the size. It comes with a side of a variety of roasted potatoes, but again, not too many. Enjoyed my breakfast. Sis ordered the Dutch Pancake w/proscuitto & gruyère. This was tasty, but a CARB overload. I would have needed a nap after that meal. It has a restaurant chain feel, but I enjoyed it.

After being thoroughly impressed with the Burbank location of Granville we decided to try the Glendale one after watching a movie at the Americana(Batman v Superman — much better than the reviews the critics were giving it). Having been told previously we could call ahead to get on the waitlist, we did right after the movie got out. There was a little confusion on the call, but eventually we got on the list and were soon after texted using the ‘NoWait’ app — who knew? Got to the restaurant, there was pretty much no wait(anyway) at 7ish on a Saturday night, and were seated promptly. A much bigger and less cozy/intimate setting than Burbank with the focus being the central bar. Our friend is a tad picky and wanted to order off the lunch menu(you can’t after 4pm, like it says), but our waitress did(apparently) ask. She seemed a bit hurried throughout our interactions, explaining the chef didn’t do substitutions(to another friend who didn’t want blue cheese on a burger, but an alternative cheese could be had on the side?), and not knowing if the El Chipo(with tequila and chocolate mole bitters) was sweet or not(it’s was not, a little spicy maybe). I ordered a pastrami sandwich(way too heavy on the sun-dried tomato) with the potato chips and a side of fries to share. Out came the sandwich with fries, and the(other) side of fries. It felt like our friends had to keep asking for new drinks(and water was not automatic — though that may be a new ‘we’re in drought’ SoCal thing that some places seem to enforce while others don’t). Overall not as good as our Burbank experience. It just didn’t have that cute ‘it’ factor we had enjoyed so much(and where the waiter there had recommended the house lemonade over pricier cocktail — he got points for that). Next time back to Burbank.

Breakfast and Brunch, yes, please! :D What an awesome place to come and celebrate my belated birthday with an awesome group of friends(Olin, Dana, Jennifer, Gloria and Vince — you guys rock!) :D Located across from Home Goods, and in front of the Americana on Brand Ave., the Granville Café is known for its American style breakfast and brunch. They also got lunch and dinner, but our group today ate from the Breakfast section, hehe! We all shared the uptown mac and cheese that was served with chicken and peas and asparagus underneath. I digged it! The mac n cheese was creamy and the chicken pieces were tender and juicy with the right amount of seasoning. As for our entrees, the ladies each ordered an array of yummy omelets while Vince and I both had the Eggs in the Nest dish. I ordered the Eggs in the Nest $ 12.00 with a Lemon Drop Martini $ 9.00, and a glass of iced water.(Vince ordered the same dish, but he got coffee instead). The Eggs in the Nest dish is a very cute and yummy concept — the fried egg on the bottom and the 2 pieces of toast with strings of fried onions along with the beef stroganoff inside mimics the nest and eggs. The nest part was delicious. I liked that the fried egg on the bottom was fried nicely, and the toasts were crispy and tender, and paired nicely together. The beef stroganoff was tender and juicy. Served with ketchup, regular and sweet potatoes with a strawberry and a wedge of orange. It was a large portion — definitely did not disappoint! The Lemon Drop Martini was delicious as well! I thought it was gonna be sour, but the drink was on point. The alcohol was the right amount to get a nice and chilled out mellowed buzz, and my cheeks rosy pink, and the sugar salted rim added a nice touch of tantalizing my tastebuds back and forth with sweet and salty tastes with each sip. I also got a free birthday vanilla ice cream with whipped cream treat, yay! The ice cream was smoothed and creamy. Loved that my friends sang«Happy Birthday» to me, awww! Feels all warm and fuzzy*, hehee! Unilocal Check in Freebie: cake slice of Yuzu Lemon Chill. Our server, Ryan brought out 2 slices since we had six peeps, and the cake slice is valid with purchase of two entrees and two drinks. The cake was pretty good — drizzled with raspberry syrup, and it was creamy and smooth. Though it was slightly tangy for my taste. Our server Ryan was a cool and very patient guy since our group was having a hard time on deciding what to get since everything looked yummy. Despite the lil bill hiccup(which was quickly corrected), service was attentive and efficient overall. As for the place, it was a nice mixture of cool and modern décor — classy and casual, fun place to eat while catching up with friends. Parking: you can park in the Americana(they do validate two free hours) or park for free at the Galleria and walk over. Would I recommend this place? Most definitely!

One of my favs in Glendale. Whenever i visit my good friends at MSFT, we hit up Granville. If you’re trying to go there for lunch on a weekday, ensure you have a reservation. I prefer to sit outside as it’s really pretty and cozy. The mac n cheese, salmon, mahi tacos, and there gumbo soup are my favorite. The staff is always super friendly and they always ahve a smile on there faces.

Super happy with the food and service. Granville is conveniently located in the Americana which makes it even better — shopping & dining in one stop. It was a Saturday night and they had happy hour for drinks! Stayed at the bar while we waited for our table. They even have happy hour on appetizers(mac n cheese included)! But they told us we couldn’t order entrees at the bar. Grilled cheese dippers were a good appetizer. So crispy, cheesy and even better when dipped in the bisque. I’m a huge fan of mac & cheese so I was happy to read about the uptown mac n cheese. Let’s just say the dish did not disappoint. It was extremely cheesy with the right amount of chicken and peas to compliment the dish. My friend ordered the skirt steak which was another winner. The chimichurri adds flavor to the steak. Also reasonably priced at $ 22.

Really nice place for date, family, etc. the ambience is kind of hipster. I appreciate how everything is made from scratch and organic to the best of their ability. Some dishes seem to take longer to make but I guess that’s because there’s more work involved. The service is fantastic. The drinks are tasty! We came when it just stopped raining and their door mat in front was drenched, it was gross to step onto the mushy rug /mat. I know it doesn’t rain often or much in LA, so this shouldn’t be a frequent issue…
