Wowoweewow, what a disaster. Ordered their special«french toast double dipped in corn flakes, drizzled with reese’s peanut butter» with added layer of banana, whipped cream and chocolate chip; what I received a whopping two minutes layer — 2 slices of bread(advertised as three slices of bread); a falling layer of generic corn flakes, and one strip of peanut butter not visible to the naked eye. I informed the waitress whether or not this was for real, and he quickly apologized as if it happens frequently. This is the type of half-baked effort you would find a half-pint, nine-year old son trying to please his bed-ridden mother, not from a well-regulated restaurant. Where’s the management? What quack of a chef you got their hiding behind the thin-red line of customer satisfaction? And more importantly, who in their right mind would ever pay for something like this? Dimwits, that couldn’t tell apart a MCDonald’s Big-mac from an in-and-out double-double and their pinky finger by their side, that’s who. You deserve better. I deserve better. Heck, the senior citizens nearing death who are the target clientele demographic deserve better. I told the waitress off as I finished one bite, and promptly declined to continue. I walked out, my belly empty, but at least my wallet remained unscathed, and that means, no harm, no foul at least for my finances. Shame on you IHOP, boy, how the mighty have fallen. I remember loving the mighty and proud Belgium waffle, but increase in competition has forced a decline of quality and service. 0⁄5 starts, but forced to choose one. –Nomoreangry

Sad to say that I won’t be returning here after years and years of coming here since my childhood I came here on Sunday with my family and paid with 2 cards. Half on my dads and the rest on me. They charged my dad right but they charged me double!!! The money was taken from my account barely today and made me over drawn.

This place is absolutely horrible the woman didn’t when look at my paper I brought in for free birthday pancakes and kept getting my order wrong because of it… then brought me the wrong food after asking the same question of what did I want a hundred times. Then said her manager said because I got my birthday pancakes I couldn’t have my child’s meal for free even though it was after 5pm and there restaurant has kids eat free from 4pm to 10pm. Then I told her to get the manager and all of a sudden it was okay… I’m so over this place and will never return last time I was there I watched the manager smash a roach under a booth and that was disgusting as well this place is horrible avoid it!!!

Waitress was sweet. Food was ok. My French toast was flavorless and dry. The pancakes were also dry and cold. I will say the restaurant itself and its restroom were super clean! They actually used Clorox wipes to wipe down the tables! Instead of those dingy rags other places use! Maybe next time the food will be better.

Fermin our server surprised us with our bill when we were ready to go. Our whole meal was free! This is why i think it was so… The place is a little old looking… and I think it might actually be an old structure. So it has its small and tiny characters inside that we saw crawling on the wall really close to where we were sutting… OK it was so close that it was above our seating area. Thank good it was taken away before we even ordered our food.

Service is extremely horrible. Host and servers are extremely unwelcoming! Needs progress immediately! Food took FOREVER to come out! We waiting over 30 mins just for a salad. It’s only 1:30 in the afternoon and it’s pretty slow.

Sigh… I come here way too often. The food isn’t even that great, especially when my bacon is served cold…

Worst service I’ve ever received. If there’s anything that pisses me off, it’s poor customer service. The waitress took forever to come take our order, when we waited half an hour for our food she offered no explanation. We had to call the manager over who simply said he’d check on it but didn’t come back. My meal came out cold and when I sent it back, they scraped the eggs off and popped it in the microwave. The waitress tried to claim they didn’t, but the tomato was piping hot. And the cheese sauce was not on top. I got no apologies from her or the manager. I’ve NEVER left a restaurant without leaving a tip, and I don’t feel bad about it now. This is why I don’t do chains. ETA: Manager came to apologize and comp the little food we did eat.

Typical IHOP. I felt that the service was a bit slower and more nonchalant than other locations. The staff seemed to be in their own world. They took about 25 minutes to come and take our order after several attempts to flag them down to let them know we were ready. The food was average, as always. I love their breakfast crepes. Best thing on the menu. Not too much to say about it lol. Like I said … typical IHOP. I did appreciate them giving me free orange juice refills, which they don’t normally offer.

A 24 hour dining haven right off the 134 freeway. Late night has a great service team. The host and server were friendly in comparison to some of the weekend daytime crew. There is a full menu of selections, even for the VERY late night patrons. So «come hungry, leave happy.» Thank you my old time friend IHOP, for always being there for us. P. S. It’s the International House of Pancakes, so order pancakes for goodness sake!?!

I used to loveeee ihop more than denny’s. Somehow that’s turned around because the food here just isn’t good. I came here on the 57th anniversary day where they served a stack of buttermilk pancakes for 57 cents. pretty good deal! I understand that the waitresses were not super attentive that day since cheap meals often meant less tip. However, my party of three decided to also order two additional dishes — the egg’s Benedict(11.99) and the french toast with bacon strips(7.99). Still the waitress was not attentive to us at all. Two minutes after all our food came to the table, she gave us the bill, which basically meant that she wanted us to leave. The restaurant wasn’t even half full so I didn’t understand the urgency to rush us out of there. Throughout the entire meal, we didn’t see her until we paid at the very end. My cup of water was empty even before the food came, but we had to flag down another waiter to fill our water cups. Egg’s benedict — it came with hash browns that were burnt and it was probably one of the worst egg’s benedict i have had. The sauce had barely any flavor and seemed watered down french toast with bacon strips — not anything special. The bacon strips were way too salty and the french toast didn’t have much flavor. buttermilk pancakes — probably the only thing good about this meal and the deal made it even better. Every table provides boysenberry, butter pecan, old fashioned, and strawberry syrup, so it was nice to try the various flavors of syrups. Not impressed with the food or the service. Maybe it was because it was anticipated to be super busy and they didn’t really care to wait on that day? I don’t know but my experience here was not good at all.

Good luck trying to get a table here during brunch-time on a weekend. Wowza the place was packed. Unfortunately, there’s no waiting area inside so you have to wait outside on these benches. Luckily it wasn’t a blistering hot day. As for the food, well, it’s IHOP. It’s not gonna blow you away, but you also won’t be disappointed since you know exactly what you’re getting – a big ass portion of whatever-it-is-you-want. For me, it was bacon, french toast, hash browns and eggs. I love American excess, especially when you get to take some home to enjoy later.

Eh. It’s IHOP. I feel like the quality has gone down over the years or I’m just ordering the wrong items. The Swiss Mocha coffee was kind of gross. The healthy pancakes were soooooooo dry. Not even extra butter could save it. There is a lot of parking at this location though so that’s a plus. Service was good too.

Each time I come here, the service gets worse and the food gets more expensive and it doesn’t even taste any better. The restaurant got a makeover a couple of years ago. The exterior and a bit of the interior was remodeled, but I think a lot of changes need to be made, especially when it comes to the staff. You shouldn’t be keeping broke bottles of ketchup at peoples tables. You also shouldn’t seat people near restrooms, it’s disgusting. Usually I ask to move when placed in a location I dislike, but when I go out to eat with my family who is usually hungry after waiting to be seated, I don’t like to inconvenience them. I also think it’s terrible to serve people drinks with dirty or broken cups. It’s dangerous and unsanitary. If a cup is broken, chipped, has a fracture or is damaged in any sort of way, you need to throw that cup away. You can’t be serving people drinks with broken cups, it’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen. I also think the prices need to be changed. I know this isn’t something that Unilocaling about will help, and I know the employees don’t set the prices, but seriously $ 3.89 for a small cup of apple juice? Why does Apple juice cost more than coffee? You don’t even get refills, what’s that about?! The workers here also need to stop chatting and be more attentive to their tables, I’m tired of getting servers who look like they don’t want to be there. We get it, you hate your job, but at least pretend that you like it.

IHop is simply southern comfort food to me. I typically order the Chicken Fried Steak, two over-easy eggs, cheese hashbrowns and pancakes with strawberry syrup. The Chicken Fried Steak is usually crispy on the outside, while tender and flavorful on the inside. The gravy is light but packs a «peppery» punch. You can’t go wrong with a place you’ve visited since age six. Twenty years later, it’s still a treat.
