This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I are clueless about Armenian food, but we went here for lunch and the ladies at the deli counter were glad to help and recommend foods to try! The prices were good, too!

They are unprofessional, have a bad attitude for being as expensive as they are, and their restrooms are Atrocious!!! I ordered a cake and the lady on the phone was very nice and tried to take care of me. Then I come to pick up my $ 140 special order cake and it’s the wrong colors and instead of apologizing they give me the worst dirty looks and start speaking in their own language and just take the cake away. In addition to that, the restroom had no toilet paper, no hand soap and trash alllllllll over the floor! The two stars I gave is because they do make delicious cake. But everything else I had to go through just made me NEVERWANTTOCOMEBACKHEREAGAIN!!!

Horrible customer service, place sucks, unprofessional business. Never come here unless you if you want to waste your time and precious money. Meat has no quality and their food taste like it was sitting there for at least a week.

The sweets are delicious and there is a wide variety to choose from. I shared a few different kinds of sweets and all were good. Taste wise paradise is good but the employees should smile more. They weren’t very welcoming and I felt weird asking them for what I wanted. It’s very clean and nice to just relax. They have an outside sitting area where you can sip on some tea and enjoy your sweets. 4 stars because good employees make a difference for the business.

Great selection of sweets and cakes however their customer service is off the wall horrible. For a business located near a busy area I would of imagined a pleasant demeanor from the employees. So rude in person and on the phone. I’m rethinking of ordering my wedding cake from here. For the sake of the owners business someone should help him or her read these Unilocal reviews. Customer service is a serious profit when taken in to consideration.

This place use to be good 5 years ago. They don’t have a lot of customers so their food stays and gets old. They sold me old cold cut turkey. I brought it home opened the paper and the smell was disgusting. I will never step foot in there again !

2 thumbs down and a big BOO! to this bakery from the time I ordered a cake to the moment I was supposedly enjoying it. The ‘forced’ 1 star above is probably just for the cake itself, which, in all fairness, was not that bad. Although, if I had a choice I will only rate it not even half a star. 1.) upon ordering— that woman in the ‘order’ table was not very friendly. I was thinking probably she was just tired so I let it slid that day and proceded on ordering.(The cake was for an anniversary celebration, it was not of a big deal, but we wer going to have a lunch celebration with the family at a restaurant and we wanted the cake to look classy but somehow will fit our budget). she was not very helpful, just showed me pictures on the iPad, wrote down my orders. didnt even acknowledged a customer with a litttle ‘thank you’ or the like. but like I said, its alright it was like late in the day and probably shes tired. 2.) During order pick-up: I called to pick the cake up early and they said over the phone that its ready and can be picked up. When I got at Paradise, the same woman at the ‘order’ table(shes heavy-set, short, snob looking woman at that corner table, I wish Ive gotten her name), was on the phone I was standing there for awhile waiting for her to finish her phonecall, she saw me waiting but did not choosed to acknowledge me. So I went up to the other cashier,(The one where you can order cookies and pastries), I was in line for a good 10 mins bcoz there was one guy ahead of me. meanwhile the ‘shorty-fat woman at the order table’ finished her phonecall, she looked at me, saw me holding a receipt for order pick up but didnt acknowledge me and just went up behind the displays and did other things. when it was my turn on the cashier and saw my receipt she yelled at me and said ‘Go over there for pick-up!’, I was of course already pissed but I didnt wanna ruin our special days I went to the table again, the ‘shorty-fat’ woman was still behind the cake displays and continue cleaning. she saw me coz she looked at me, I even said good morning to her! Finally after another 5 mins, she came to me, took my receipt, I asked her if there is a way they can write something but not directly on the cake, like what Portos do, with a little chocolate plate, she said’yes what do you want to write?’ so I told her what to write and told her again, ‘not directly on the cake, on like a plate of chocolate like the ones Portos use’ she said ’ yah, I know’(irritatedly). and left. I waited another maybe 10 mins. All along i thought she was going to come out and kind of show me or verify the writings they did ib the cake. but not. when she came out with the cake I ordered, and yes she wrote what I asked, ONTHECAKEITSELF! I was like NOYOUDIDNOT! they even wrote it in red color! which I did not choosed to! hello??? the cake was beautiful but the writings made it looked VERYVERYVERYCHEAP! I told her I did not liked it. she said, irritated again at me, We can erase it if you want!’ No way, I will no longer let you mess that up! so I told her, ’ Next time learn to listen to your customer.‘ Somehow I managed to do something about the cake, I had to buy redroses at Ralphs and stick it on the top of the make and made it looked really nice. 3.) Cake eating: the cake has pearls on it, I know when I was ordering the cake would have some pearl decorations on the side, but they did not warn us that they will be using real, tiny, slippery craft pearls! what an idiot! why would a good bakery use non edible safety hazard craft pearls on a cake??? thats ridiculous! The cake was not bad but We got scared eating it! I hope anyone from Paradise is reading this that way they be alerted to not take the safety of their clients for granted. and hoping that woman there be aware of her attitude and rudeness.

If you want to ruin your nervous system as well as your day, go to this bakery. Super rude employees and personnel. I was asking the cashier, the tomboy one, if they have any warm bread in the back, she yelled at me saying«all of our breads are fresh, you do not have to shop from us if you want to get some warm bread» and She threw the bread in my face. I was so shocked. I asked her to call the manager, she said, «I am the manager.» Well, if you are the manager, then you’d better go to some cultural and management classes but the problem is that ALLOFTHEWORKERSINTHISBAKERYARESUPERRUDEANDMEAN. It was my last visit at this damn bakery.

I have been a customer since 2002. I usually get Lavash, Bread, Ground Coffee, Sometimes nazooks. They have good selection of cakes as well but I am not fan of their cakes. Owner is kind of mean, but the employees are always nice.

Paradise Bakery… pretty much what cakes in heaven would probably look like! The designs are out of this world pretty. They also have pastries from fruit tarts, to cream horns, to pies, and fresh baked breads. This is Carb Heaven. The strawberry Roll is about $ 2 a piece. Or the entire roll for about $ 7-$ 8. Goes great with coffee or tea. The raisin bread buns are nice/chewy/soft…not too sweet. I totally liked and recommend for breakfast. The whole bag was below $ 2. Speaking of coffee… The Mocha Chiller is extremely addictive. So if your planning on coming here again and again. Be my guest… try it! They also have cute gift sets of dried fruit and nuts. They have baklava, cheese boerek, cookies, and apricot pie is really good. Great spot to pick up goodies for family get togethers! This place has had a serious makeover. The original cake and pastry side has now turned into a meat section, and olives and cheeses I believe. The new pastry side has expanded with a new added refrigeration section. Across the street is a café owned by the same company. Haven’t been there yet though! There is private parking in the back. This place is usually packed. The line is never straight. You may get overwhelmed. The food is great though. You have the option to get things to go in their cute boxes. Or eat there. It’s a nice spot to chill with a friend and have coffee.

I traveled from Sacramento and came to paradise to buy food for the night. I bought vegetables BBQ and other food. Vegetable BBQ was old and spoiled. Gladly when I opened it I smelled it and didn’t let my family eat. I’m so mad. I should of take it back and throw to their face. I called and told the manager Kristina.

Been a customer here for years. They do have great pastries and cakes for all occasions. We came here to pick up some pastries for the house. They also have a lot of gift ideas for when you don’t want to go to a friend’s house empty-handed. They make a nice alternative to flowers and wine.

Bad food, terrible service in the café! My husband and I ordered cutlet sandwiches and they tried to give us the cutlets that were siting there for hours already. We asked for a fresh, fried ones, even though we were the only customers there, they refused! We decided to go for the Phily Sandwich and French fries. When we got our order the plates and the sandwiches were soaking wet on the cheese fat. They didn’t even tried to mix the cheese with the stake, they didn’t even put onion! no onion on a Phyli? and the fries were floating in a pool of oil. The prices are to the roof, for the shit that they serve. Two sandwiches, one French fries 32 dollars. Never again Paradise Bakery and Café. And I’m going to make sure all the Persian community avoid the shit that you serve.

I found this place by driving — and it had a nice outdoor area where it looked like I could smoke, so I did. It offers coffee, pastries, and Armenian meat pies — as well as tons of «Walnut Rope». It is clean — and the staff is nice. They own 4 buildings along this street. The one that I was in had a huge bakery kitchen with about 10 Armenian women working in it. The place smells great.

I wish I could give them no star… This is the second time during the last week that I spend my time in Armenian bread(Lavash) line. Ridiculous. They don’t have a fixed plan where to sale lavash, sometimes it’s in the café area, and other time in the bakery area. No one answer you that where you can buy bread!!! After spending 15 min. in the line, one of the staff, who was having her lunch next to the line, told us that they don’t gonna sale bread anymore in café area and coustomers can purchase lavash at bakery… Around 4:30 Bakery was crowded and there were no line for lavash. Cashier yelled to the group of ppl who were waiting for lavash that there is no lavash and untill 5:00 pm. After several time reapiting the same sentence some of coustomer left the store and some other complained… During all the 30 min. that I was waiting there, staff were yelling on coustomers that they do not have bread, even they did the same to me. I tried to make a line there, one of the staff who was veey rude, everytime asked me «what do you want?» I replied«lavash» and she yelled on me that«we dont have lavash» and everytime my answer was the same«I know I will wait until 5». *****They have limitation for lavash, in holiday each person can buy 2 lavashs and regular days 4 lavashs, and each one hour they only produce 40 lavashes.***** Anyway after 30 –45 min. I bought 2 lavashs. This store’s Staff cannot manage this store, they are rude and unorgenized. I don’t want to blame only the staff, this store owner has the same problem too. You have your business because if your couetomeres. If you cannot satisfy your coustomeres close it.
