Dear Corner Bakery, If you did not want my business this morning, you should have said so. Oh, is that why no one acknowledged me? Someone finally took the order but the food never came. After 15 minutes I ask about it and am told they will check on it. Now, Katrina, she took the order, is trying to take more orders, answer the phone, get food out to those who order by phone or just want take out.(why is she doing all the work?) Food is not coming to the dining room. There is a bunch of peeps working in the kitchen so where was the food? There is one guy who stood behind the counter, facing the kitchen, not doing anything, not saying hello. What was that about?(green shirt and hat). 5 more minutes, now I want my money back so I can go somewhere else. Obviously the order has been lost or, it is part of the pile of food getting cold, waiting to go to the tables. And yes, you served people that came after me. It was a simple order, nothing special, right off the breakfast menu. Up to the counter, ask for the refund, have to wait for the manager to do it but he is busy trying to get food out to the take out customers. The guy behind the counter? Still doing nothing. Travis voids the order, does not ask what was the problem, does not apologize. Cripes. The tables needed to be wiped down, the entry rug is disgusting, I have been a customer since the place opened, however, I have watched the food quality and service go down for some time. And if you order a sandwich or panini, what happened to the meat that is supposed to be inside? We are paying a lot for bread. Anyway, this morning pretty much took care of that. I won’t be back.

Great food, great service. The only advice I would give to anyone is to not sit outside. Flies will definitely attack your food.

We’ve had a lot of small problems at this particular Corner Bakery. Today, our order, along with other people’s near us, took about 30 minutes to get to us. This is a long time for this type of restaurant. Although it was Christmas Eve, so that may have been a factor. Then when our food came, they advised me they were out of the Butternut Squash soup. They refunded my soup, offered us dessert, but I told them we already had dessert. That refund gave them the chance to refund our dessert since they offered some for free, but they didn’t refund the dessert. Also, my girlfriend said her California Grille sandwich was inadequate, i.e. It tasted bad and didn’t have enough vegetables.

I love corner bakery and normally go to the one in Pasadena on Lake, but I just moved to the area and have been ordering our meals from this location. Their food and servers are great, however I only gave them 2 stars because when I order my food online and then go to pick it up 4 out of 5 times something was missing or my order was wrong. I’m sure I’ll continue ordering from here(it’s convenient) but for now I’m looking for another quick food fix.

So the food is delicious. My rating has nothing to do with the food or quality, that alone is 5 stars. The people are nice, but you really need to check your orders on dine in and take out. I can’t stop coming here because I really like the food; my last five visits there has always been something missing from the order. One time I went through the bag with a person and she told me the brown bag has my roll in it and there was only a pickle. I dined in and ordered all my food. Everything came out except the Mac & cheese I ordered. When I asked about it they said it would be right out. We waited so long I forgot about it until the end of the meal. Other times I have ordered a salad, they told me the chicken was in the side and there was still no chicken. Literally every time something different is missing. Another time I watched them out my food on a try from my table. For 10 minutes they didn’t bring it so I assumed it wasn’t mine. Another ten minutes went by and I walked to the front and asked if it was mine; it was mine. Everything was cold that should have been hot, everything cold was a little below room temp. They said«oh, it just came up»… Right. A person might ask, «why do you keep going back?!» Well… The Asian street salad, the Mac & cheese with tomatoes and bacon is amazing, the uptown turkey and the tomato soup! Literally it’s all delicious; they just need to get better and putting things in the bag.

After my third time eating here, I realized I absolutely enjoy the entrées especially the baked potato soup. It is rich creamy and just an awesome indulgence. This location also has an amazing vibe to it, nice, subtle, and calm, and an even more relaxed vibe in the outside patio. The only thing that I may have to not like about this place is that the service is a bit slow, and even though the environment of the restaurant is in itself able to entertain, I would like to get my food a little faster. Other than that, it is a great location to get your average café fix.

I like Corner Bakery, but this one isn’t as good as others I’ve been to. The food isn’t quite as good as the other Corner’s I’ve been to and the staff isn’t as friendly. Atmosphere is okay.

If you’re looking for tasty healthy food, this is the next best thing! Usually«healthy» doesn’t jibe with tasty, but somehow Corner Bakery manages to use fresh, quality ingredients. Their DC chicken salad sandwich is just the way I make my chicken salad at home: fresh chicken breast, raisins, mayo, green apple cubes, celery, walnut pieces. Their raisin pumpernickel bread is the perfect companion! Aside from sandwiches, they offer scrumptious salads, pasta dishes(great spaghetti carbonara) and moist, chewy pastries. Their portions are thankfully small(not mass quantities). One peculiar observation though and it’s not the first time I’ve noticed this is that the patrons at Corner Bakery are almost always 99% White. Why is that? Is it a sociological phenomenon that middle class White Americans prefer to congregate in eateries like these?

I thought I gave it another go seeing people still come to Corner Bakery. Also because there is no other choice in the area. Bad move. I ordered mac & cheese that looks dry, like it came out of a box. Actually WORSE than what boxed mac & cheese is. Dry and flavorless. The Steak and Cheese Toasted Sandwich is no better. Dry slices of thin meat that they called«steak» plus melted cheese that’s barely there on a somewhat warm bread. The dryness is one thing. The saltiness of the meat like it is cured for jerky is another. I couldn’t eat any of those. The only saving grace was the coffee and the friends I went there with. Would I go back? Not for the food for sure. Just to sit down over coffee and chill, yes, because it is within walking distance of the gym I go to. Otherwise I’d never make a special trip there.

Our first time at the Corner Bakery was a Sunday morning. The place is big, clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. When you walk in, you walk straight into the line to order your food. It was our first time there and we really didn’t know how or what each plate offered. The girl taking our order helped as much as possible and after about 10 minutes and a few questions we placed our order. The food was good but the portions were not enough for my hungry family. We ordered grilled breakfast sandwich but didn’t realize that the sandwich didn’t include a side. We ordered drinks two coffees, two juices and one orange juice. When the server brought our food he didn’t bring the orange juice. We asked for it and he informed us that they were out of orange juice. Puzzled we looked at each other and thought why would they charge us for something they didn’t have? Then as I looked around I noticed other kids with orange juice… I asked why can’t we have a cup like the one the other kids have? He returned back inside and to see what he could do. His manager came out and advised that she would credit us the orange juice. I said okay that was fine but why couldn’t she just serve us a cup with orange juice like the other families had? She explained that those were catering cups and if that is what we wanted she could give us that. Very strange ordeal over an orange juice, one that will keep us from coming back.

1) This place is a smaller & darker designed version of Panera Bread 2) It has almost the same menu selection & prices… just designed different 3) I was here on a Saturday evening around 6pm, it was about 60% occupied and the place seemed really organized

I have frequented this Glendora location over the past 5 or so years. The staff is always kind, food is served in a timely manner and is always fresh. Great variety breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner. I love their pastries, they are after all a bakery.

Its been a minute since I wrote a review, but coming to this shit hole I was compelled. This place is filthy. The water«cooler» is packed with dust.(See pic). The wood room dividers DUSTY. The table was sticky and there was a used band aid on the floor(see pic). As if that wasnt disgusting enough. There was a waitress carrying a tray of food on her shoulder while her fly away hairs were laying in someones salad. This place is disgusting and none of the staff cares. The health department needs to make a visit here asap. Although I see at least 8 servers on the floor, service doesnt exist. Needles to say we left and barely at our food.

The food here is always really good. It’s kinda pricy but is fresh. My faves are the bread bowls, quinoa, and pastas. They have a big drink Selection. It’s a comfy place where you order your food and they take it to you. The desserts here are also really good.

The pasta was cold. They forgot to make our smoothie. A woman had to ask two different servers to clean the tables. There were 4 unusable tables for over ten minutes. Don’t order the half soup and sandwich if you’re hungry. The sandwich was very small. The food was good but not worth the price. We’re not coming back.

Horrible service! I waited for a panini 15 – 20 minutes, when I got home I realize the wait was not worth it after seeing a burnt panini, plus it tasted like it was spoiled, I ended up getting a stomach ache. Definitely not worth the wait or the $ 10 dollars.

For the bakery items I would’ve probably given them 4 stars but the service sucks that’s why they get 2 stars. Woman at the counter was rude – I asked her if they had chocolate chip muffins and she just waved towards the other side of the counter and said«whatever we have over there is what we have.» Okaaay… then I ordered one of their espresso drinks but she said the machine is broke. What kind of bakery: breakfast place doesn’t serve espresso drinks!!! So disappointing. I then asked for iced coffee and she hands me a cup of(hot) coffee and told me to make it myself. Are you kidding me?!! Needless to say I will not be coming back here. Re-train your staff to be more professional and courteous to customers and pls have a back up plan when your machine breaks. I agree with the other reviewers. Panera is better.

Came here again with my girlfriend, but this time we decided to try out the food. We came for dinner as we wanted something light. We both ordered a combo sandwich meal which was nice but it made us feel like ordering a whole sandwich and a cup of soup would have been the better choice, as the combo was only half a sandwich and didn’t come with veggies, although the food was tasty. Ultimately we ordered a trio salad to share between us to add to the food we already ordered, although I have no complaints with the food as in the end it did fill us up. Overall the food is what you expect from a coffee shop and if I was to come here again I could definitely come here at lunch time as the menu seems more geared towards that.

Love to have lunch here. I always have a great experience. The only problem is,(and this is a good problem for the owner) they are always busy. However, they do have two registers and a separate register for online orders, very convenient. Plus, they have lots of employees. Most of them are very nice. Overall the atmosphere is great, and fun place to have lunch. I love their huge outdoors patio. The food is always delicious. Love their choices on beverages, coffee and desert!!!
