The area is beautiful. The timeshares are a horrible cacophony of noises in the endless echoing cement breezeways; and you can hear your neighbors conversations through the sheet thin walls. Oh, and don’t complain, they get real uppity about that! Again, too bad, because it is a really beautiful area. I will try another place next year.

What makes a resort, like this, a standout is the staff, and they were great! I think of a WM as my own, with a support staff to accommodate me. Sure the room is perhaps average, but how we were treated really made the stay special! The location is a great one. Hidden off the main highway, secluded, small, and right on the beach. The DVD movie selection was current, and made the foggy weather we had for a few days very enjoyable, since we didn’t borher to venture into the 103 °F hottub; and although we had to drive for dining and shopping, it was nice to come back to a fairly quiet retreat, which was exactly what my wife and I were wanting. Thank you WorldMark Gleneden!

All the pluses of a typical WM resort. All units do not have a view. Beach access and restaurants in walking distance.

Have stayed here several times. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Recent changes to «Resort Net» are a great improvement. Parking is a real problem. And you want to be sure you get into the front building; so you can maybe see the ocean, but it’s not a given. You can barely see the ocean from the back building and there is no elevator. Back building has a hot tub, but the only pool is at the front building.

Gleneden is a smaller resort than Depoe Bay, but it has a much nicer pool and jacuzzi, in my opinion. The only downfall is that not every room has an ocean view.

Smaller than the Depoe Bay WorldMark, but I liked it. We had a perfect view overlooking the pool and the ocean and there was easy access to the beach. The employees were very nice and friendly. I couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work on my Macbook, though and they need to put bigger televisions in the rooms. Who has 20″(?) televisions nowadays?

We have stayed at the WorldMark Gleneden a number of times, and it has now become one of our favorite places to stay on the Oregon Coast. Gleneden is significantly less busy than someplace like Seaside, but it is only a few minutes from Lincoln City and Newport. Plus, you’ll find the Side Door Café next door, which is one of the very best places to dine on the coast! Julian H. is correct… You won’t find a restaurant, room service, or some of the other amenities of a high end hotel. But with a couple of bedrooms, a full kitchen, a full set of appliances(dishwasher, laundry, etc) in room… It’s almost more like home than a hotel. The rooms are always very quiet, the service staff is always incredibly helpful. The pool and hot tub are nice, the rec room(and outdoor basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts) are also very nice. Two things to be aware of: There is no maid service, although you can always visit the desk to exchange towels or get more supplies. Also, if you aren’t a member, be prepared for the«invitation» to the sales seminar. While they don’t pressure you too much to attend, they definitely ask more than once.

My first time in Lincoln City, this part of Oregon is really beautiful. This membership club resort has awesome location, awesome views, and fairly awesome rooms. The best part was being just minutes away from the sand beach and playing in the surf. Beautiful sunsets, too. The rooms have full kitchens and you can sleep six people in a two-room suite with a sofa bed. That’s a lot of value for the same price as a hotel room. The trade-off is, the public areas(lobby, clubhouse, pool, grounds) don’t quite rise to the level of a nicer hotel, and some things are missing altogether(no restaurant, bar or café on the grounds). But then, this ain’t the Ritz. People come here for value and if you have 4 – 6 people and would rather cook your own meals then eat out, it is quite the bargain. Also cool that a local winery did a wine tasting while we were there. I think you must be a WorldMark/TrendWest member to reserve a room.
