Great food and service from Kevin and Patty Bethel but it’s closed now as they’ve retired to Florida.

I love the lunches here! Truly fabulous and it changes every day! The sandwiches are to die for piled high on thick cut bread that’s made in house! They roast fresh turkeys everyday it shows! Well done!

Neat little bistro with some intresting dishes. Ordered the crabcake salad with avacado and cucumber-wasabi dressing. Salad was good although the crabcake was broken up in the middle of the salad instead of coming out whole. Décor was shabby-chic and the service was pleasant.

Small, locally owned and delicious. One of the few places that my 4-year old LOVES when we get into Glens Falls… No kids menu per se, but they make their own bread and accommodated by making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich — my little guy devoured it because the bread was so tasty… I ordered the meatloaf and while that’s one of those«risky» items to order out — let me assure you, This guy(chef) knows what he’s doing. YUM!!! I really love this place and I agree on the hours, but when you’re this good, you do what you love because you love it, you can make your own hours. I’m a fan.

Can’t say enough good things about the food and the dining room is very nice. The people are very friendly, except when they aren’t. I have been there a lot and I get the impression that I’m inconveniencing them about half the time. I would rather have them tell me they are closed when I walk in the door than get dirty looks and the bums rush. The food never disappoints, though, and while I toy with the idea of going elsewhere I will probably return. The four star rating is due to the food.

The food here is fantastic and reasonably priced… were I rating on the food alone, I would easily give it 4 stars. However, I feel like it’s very hard to actually catch this restaurant when it’s open. I’m not sure how they stay in business, because I feel like at least half the time when I go there, they’re closed. They have weird hours/days. For example, a few weeks ago, my husband and I went there for an early dinner… a little after 4. The sign said they were open for lunch and dinner, the door was unlocked, and there was staff inside… we walked in expecting to be seated, and the staff members just stared at us. Finally, the woman rudely announced, «we’re closed,» with no further explanation. I said«all day?» and she said no, they close between lunch and dinner to «catch up on business». I’ve never heard of that. It’s a tiny restaurant, how much business can they have to catch up on? They should at least lock the door or include specific hours on their sign, then. Isn’t there generally a slump between lunch and dinner during which they could catch up anyways? We tried to go again today… again, according to their sign it was one of the days they should be open, and it was closer to lunch time this time. The door was again open and there was staff inside. We walked in and the same lady said, «we’re closed all day.» Umm… are you kidding me? I’m pretty sure they’re closed two days a week regularly anyway, so whatever they had to do, they couldn’t do on one of those days? There was no sign up indicating they were closed and the door was unlocked! I will not be attempting to eat there again.

Went here with a friend for lunch today. Very impressed! It is a small restaurant and tables are a little close to each other, but the food was very good. I have a feeling this is a chef owned restaurant, very local. Menus are written in hand, nice old photos of Glens Falls on the walls. Chef comes out and talks with patrons if he has the time. Waitress was very attentive and friendly considering she and a bus person were the only ones working for lunch hour. I had the shrimp and scallop pasta with a pesto cream sauce which was fantastic and had a nice presentation. My friend had halibut that looked very good and was well prepared. They brought out bread before our lunch that was actually very good. They have a nice selection of local draft beers which is a major plus! Usually restaurants like this have bottled beer. I will be back soon with my wife for dinner to sample some more of this excellent food!

First of all the name of the place is the 132 Glen Bistro. I first ate there about a month ago. The food was so delictable that whent he waitress asked how everyhting was, all we could do was moan in culinary delight. Chef Kevin Bethel cares what you think of his food. He is a world class chef. You would be amiss if you did not eat here at least once. Then again, once you eat there, you will return time and again. Pat Bethel’s desserts are out of this world scrumptious. Everything in the Bistro is homemade, right down to the bread they make fresh daily. They have an excellent wine list\, some soft drink selections From Cooper’s Cave that are yummy and by far the best wait staff in the area. Don’t miss this hidden gem!

Four of us stopped in for dinner a few nights ago and really had a phenomenal meal that didn’t break the bank. Their specials were amazing, the salads fresh, the seafood to die for, and the soups were fantastic. There was a nice wine selection, the atmosphere cozy, the service was great, and all and all it was a good time. It has an unfortunate view of Burger King so I would recommend a non window seat for romantic dining.
