You MUST eat here numerous times because everything is deeeelish. I be been here numerous times and have never had a bad meal. The combinations of flavors for each course is spectacular. Don’t miss this one!

Halle-Tallulah! Such an amazing find. The food was impressive and it left me craving the swordfish dinner I ordered for the next two weeks! We sat in the front window, I was shocked that such a packed restaurant could still provide such a romantic setting. We started with the Truffle fries. They come with shaved parmesean and scallions with a side of garlic aioli. My mouth is watering just thinking of them. Next we dabbled in the salad realm. It was a blue cheese arugula salad and it did not disappoint. For dinner I had the grilled swordfish that was served with a roasted red pepper cream sauce and a pesto. I am the queen of sauces so having both made me extremely happy! The fish was grilled to perfection and it flaked perfectly while remaining tender. Must trys: Truffle Fries! Grilled swordfish

Update: second visit just as good as the first. My new go– to dinner spot in Glens Falls. Fantastic meal… Way better than Morgan and Co across the street. Complex flavors, lovely use of cheese, excellent warm table bread, and gooey desserts. This place is a win! Great meal.

Another VERY creative menu that gets in its own way. Went to dinner with 5 guests. Had to use a flash light to read the menu. Everyone ordered something different. One guest had zero culinary adventure and opted for a $ 15 hamburger. Others ordered pork shank. I ordered sweetbreads appetizer(I mean when do you EVER see sweetbreads on a menu?) and the gnocchi dinner. The sweetbreads were cut very small, heavily breaded and deep fried. The flavor and texture of sweetbreads are elusive to start, and made more so by the cooking method. I could have been eating just breading, cardboard, scallops or kitten meat. Served atop a dollop of blue cheese mashed potato all I could taste was blue cheese over the whole dish. Given the lighting at our table which made it impossible to see any color or texture(or silverware) in the presentation, the appetizer must have been similar to what Helen Keller experienced every day… if she only ate blue cheese. My entrée was served in the same murky light. I kid you not, I could only see the white outline of my dish and nothing else. I mentioned this to the server(a very competent guy built like a shot-putter) and he muttered something about plans for more light arrays on our side of the dining room. Given the darkness I may have miscounted, but I believe that my $ 14 gnocchi dish had seven(7) actual ½tsp-sized gnocchi. The blue cheese showed up again and that was all I could taste. Texture was excellent. I did get to try the pork shank from one of my dining partners. It was tender and flavorful even if I could not actually see it. Tallulah is definitely worth the visit. The menu is succinct and highly creative, but bring your own light to make sure you can read the preparation text on the menu, and that you can actually see the dish you think you ordered. Service was excellent.

Wow! A find in the quiet little town of Glens Falls. Impressive draft beer & wine list but come here for the good! Comfort food with an upscale bistro flare. Tonight I had the suckling pork with puréed sweet potato & vegetable medley which was fresh, not frozen. My starter was beans & greens which just begged you to sop up the broth with the rustic bread. As always, I was seated @ the bar and the service was very attentive & friendly. I’d drive out of my way for this place. Small & quaint with the kitchen visible from most of the dining area.

While in Glens Falls for a long weekend our meal at Bistro Tallulah was our favorite by far. Coming in less expensive than other local eateries where the food was less than spectacular. We ordered a bunch of small plates and were able to experience a lot for not a lot of money. Wish I could take this restaurant with me!

Food and service were excellent New Orleans twist on all items Service is great and our waitress was only too happy to help with any questions we had. All choices from Frog Leg appetizer to House salad to Burger to PEO Mussels to Pasta and Plum Tomato sauce were excellent. The only criticism is that it’s a little loud in the restaurant but who cares with such delicious food.

Absolutely delicious. A lot of talk about it and it certainly lived up to all the expectations. Great beer menu as well. Three thumbs up!

Most gastro-pubs look hip with their big wooden bars and their mega selection of artisanal drafts, offerings of totally overused«farm to table» menu items and the whatever twist they pub on classic dishes. Well, Bistro Talullah isn’t one of them. They bloody deliver on recommendations and the hype! You can tell someone was thinking a lot when deciding on the menu. Classic stuff that with modern pairings and plating. The suckling pig, some of the best I’ve ever had though I wished they kept the skin and made it crispy. This one was chopped up(I wouldn’t have served it this way). The salmon salad, duck pâté, even the house salad, all pretty amazing. Full of the flavors you expect and really clean. They(and many that I’ve only seen in LG) offer half plates on their entrees. Love this concept allowing us diners to enjoy more of the apps without getting too full. Makes so much sense, don’t know why this was the first place I’ve seen this. But beware, we ordered WAY too many apps(everything on the menu looks yummy), and by the time the entrée arrived, I was stuffed. BTW, the best Mojito I’ve ever had in my life! The mint just hit your face and not too sweet from the simple syrup. I was hammered after one. Loved that our server came by a gazillion times to refill our water glasses, and paying attention to our needs. This place could have been in Midtown Manhattan and your expectations would have been met but it’s in Lake George! Bravo zulu to the chef!

This is a top notch restaurant. If you are in the area you will be hard pressed to find better. Everything we ate, from the duck confit to the pâté to the pork chop was insanely good. Watching the chefs through their open window you can see the passion and skill they put in. This place is a can’t miss.

Whoa this place is amazing, it has the option of small and large plates, delicious fresh food, executed very well, presentation is always pretty and appealing. My new favorite place in Glens Falls. The place itself needs some updating to make it more comfortable, but amazing food and drinks. Awesome cucumber Hendricks gin martini I usually get with triple sec and lime, yum! They also have all different ales/wines/hard ciders. Can’t wait to go back!(see my pics! =)

The food was absolutely outstanding. Everything from the atmosphere to the dessert was amazing. The staff was kind and very attentive. They were able to suggest the perfect entrees which were ample in size. I cannot rave enough about this place, just wish I lived closer to enjoy them more.

I writing this from the bar. This is my third time here. First 2 times in 2014 were fantastic. As I sit and wait for my food I hope that the food is still fantastic because the atmosphere is bad. In 2014 it was chic and happening… now I’m afraid it has turned to a sloppy gin mill. It’s empty on a Friday night in June. Appears employees know everyone and the inmates are running the asylum. Barely audible music. Patrons loud yelling and baseball caps. Food still great 4 plus stars Atmosphere 3 Menu 4 Service 3.7 I will come back. But watch it. It’s slipping and once it slips u won’t come back. I hope u right the ship because it is great place. Maybe change the menu it’s the same as 2014. Owner please read the reviews.

I have a love affair with Bistro Tallulah that my husband indulges me in twice a year. We live pretty far away but the trip makes dining there an event. My husband called earlier in the week to reserve a seat in the window. You need reservations to eat here and if there’s only 2 of you either get a seat in the window or eat at the bar. There’s only 2 crappy tables and they’re 2 tops near the bathrooms. Dinner started out a little slow. My husband ordered a beer while I perused the wine list. Our waitress disappeared, we waited and waited for his beer — it seems she was stuck on the phone with a contrary person making a to-go order. Once she returned everything was spot on. I got the soppresata and white bean salad, and the olive and pancetta braised chicken. Both were outstanding. My husband got the Cioppino with polenta. I think his was good, there was nothing left. You definitely need a reservation to eat here but it’s so worth it.

I had extremely high expectations for this place, and all I have to say is stay away!!! This place is tiny, over crowded and the staff is stuck up and rude. I went to this restaurant after being referred by a «local» in the glen falls area-first of all they were out of scallops when 80% of their meal items contain them! And then, we ordered at 730pm, by 830 we asked where our food was and the waitress replied«it will be right out» we saw 5 orders come out of the kitchen and none were ours, as 9:00pm rolled around we walked out. What a disgrace. I wasn’t going to chance their food being as awful as their service. Stay away.

First we started with tasting wine. No problem, they were happy to accommodate us finding the right one. Started with fennel infused greens and beans with a little hint of sausage.; and Artichoke, Chorizo and Seafood Cioppino saffron tomatoes brith with creamy Parmesan polenta(Di Leonardo vineyards Pinot Grigio)… Omg Yummy! And we finished with the 2 small Plates to share: olive and pancetta braised organic chicken slow roasted with tomato fennel and olives atop a creamy Parmesan polenta and grilled asparagus(with the Rioja); and the Cochon de Lait(roasted suckling pig) to order, atop sweet potato purée, vegetable medley, green cabbage slaw and Sherry citrus demi-glacé(with Cab Sav)! Yummiest of all! No way for dessert!

Went to this place after many recommendations. The food we received was very good, once the waitress took our drink order after a 20 minute wait, then another 15 minute wait to return our drinks and take our food order. My issue here is not with the food quality, but with the management and staff. The service we received was very very sub standard for a place in this price range. I did not see my waitress for long lengths of time. Multiple times we had to flag someone else down. Finally when I saw her at the end of my meal, I was annoyed enough to mention that we were very displeased. She replied with sorry I’m training someone and walked away. All this transpired while the owner sat at another table and loudly got drunk, and paid no attention to our issue. We paid our bill and left. No one ever addressed our issue… It’s a real shame.

This is basically a local bar that has been converted Into an upscale restaurant. Started off with a mediocre greeting by one of the daughters who owns the place, but got better from there. Very nice waiter(apparently the son). Great martini with Hendricks. Excellent beet and goat cheese salads. My wife had the salmon with wilted spinach, orange and fennel slaw, and Yukon mashed potatoes that she raved about. She had a side of mashed sweet potatoes that were great. I had the rigatoni and sausage in white sauce feta cheese with broccoli rabe, beans, and added scallops that was also excellent! Service was very good. Strong air conditioning system kept summer humidity at bay. On most salads and entrees they offer half portions giving you the opportunity to select different options and mix things up ! Parking is right next door in a public lot. We will be back!!! Tip– request one of the tables for 2 or 4 near the entrance for more privacy. $ 101 for 2 with a $ 24 bar tab
