Nice breakfast and we went back for a burger later which has great bread but came with no lettuce tomato or mayo. :(home of the naked burger!

Always fun coming back home, and this is one of the places that makes it nice! Great food, great service! Just an all around awesome place! Hope they stay open another 60 years!

In the 4 years I have been coming up to Glens Falls, I have eaten at or ordered take out from Steve’s maybe 6 times. This weekend was the first time I was ever disappointed. The food was extremely greasy and oily. I had taken the food out and by the time I had gotten back to my hotel about 3 minutes away an entire«moat» of grease and oil had congealed in the corners of the container. The potatoes were extremely greasy, the eggs were way too oily/buttery and the toast was hardly toast anymore because it was so drenched in butter that it was super soggy. In the past I have NEVER had an issue and always enjoyed the food. I recommend the place normally based on my other experiences but this time around I couldn’t not mention the food had gone downhill since I was there a year ago. Will probably return again just for the sake of eating and that I had positive experiences before

Stopped in for breakfast expecting homemade fare and good service. They did not disappoint. The only criticism is that the omelette I had was sort of shiny from the oil used to prepare it. Very large omelette, very tasty and the oil was not enough to be a problem.

Ouch. Left town for a couple of years and came back… Steve’s place used to be a staple of Glens Falls. It was good diner food at good diner prices, and they were 24 hours. Now they’ve jacked all the prices and close at 9PM. Nothing to separate it from the other dime a dozen places in town. I’m not impressed. So what if they have gluten options now… why the huge upcharge on everything else? My order used to be a no brainier, not today sadly. The food is still OK but with the new prices I probably won’t come here very often. If a few extra bucks doesn’t bother you they’re worth checking out.

This place never fails to disappoint. I really wish I could give it 0 stars. It really has the worst customer service of any restaurant around here. Anytime the little issue arises they want argue with you then charge you to fix it.

My girlfriend went here for her birthday with her mother and as a cook, she is very skeptical of food and food quality. We eat out often and have a very diverse pallet. When I ordered my dinner I was impressed with the quality and the portion size. I’m writing this waiting for my dessert. I am not going to eat anywhere but here for now on 10⁄10. Great food, great service. I ordered the dessert special, the pumpkin praline cheesecake and it was divine.

I’ve been coming here for a while, and the breakfast is always good, especially the French toast, but recently, this place made me give them a thumbs down. My dad saw an ad in a local newspaper promoting their gluten free menu/options. He convinced me to go for breakfast. Well, having basically just bread is not having a gluten-free menu. Do not get fooled and think this is a super gluten-free friendly place. They couldn’t even do the French toast gluten free.

Average food, but I could not get over the smell… Stale? Burnt vacuum cleaner smell? I don’t know. The booths were sad, but there were nice jukeboxes at the table side. This is no frills kind of place, with an average menu selection. The food was reasonably priced, but quite frankly, I expected lower prices give the beaten up appearance and awful smell of the diner. The bacon was overcooked. French toast was below average. The coffee was weak, and I had to ask for a refill. Sadly, the nicest place in the diner was the bathroom. It was obviously newly constructed, and was clean. At the end of our meal however, I was left wondering what the other diners we had driven by but were not on Unilocal would have been like, and feel that we probably would have had a better meal at McDonald’s down the road.

My group and I had the pleasure of happening upon Steve’s Place while camping at Lake Moreau. We had set up camp and were out to get groceries but needed a bite to eat first. We walked right in for a table of six and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. The long and short of it was that the food was great. Every person at the table had that audible«mmm, this is good» moment. We liked it so much that when we packed up very early to leave after a rain soaked night, that we went back for breakfast. All were very happy with their food. Homemade deliciousness. If I were a local, I’d be a regular! If I find myself back in the area, I’d make a point to return.

Been here many times before, can’t believe taken this long to write my review. 2 pm’ish and my wife and I stopped for something to eat. Neither of us had much to eat all day so naturally for the 1st meal of the day, we both got breakfast, which is served anytime. Staff is always extremely friendly, and nothing better than that old fashion feel of a juke box in every booth There is a main juke box by the door, so anyone can play their favorite selection. Menu has a wide variety of choices, breakfast, lunch and dinner specials everyday. Kids menu also has a good selection, and even a «special order» of something NOT on the menu is fine. My daughter loves pasta w/just melted butter, not on the menu, but they always make it for her. Proces are very reasonable, and after one stop, I’m sure you’ll be back again. Sometimes just to go and sit at the counter and have a cup of coffee or two is just enough. There was a day when there was nothing better than a Steve’s Place breakfast at 3AM after a night of drinking down town, but those days are long behind me, and it’s been a long time since they’ve been open 24 hrs. Most night sthey close at 9PM, so A weekend breakfast during normal breakfast hours is usually the norm for me !!!

I have gone here forever. One of my favorites is a grilled cheese with fresh tomato slice and a cup of joe. Many memories from this joint!
