I’m really aggravated. We are 5 minutes(a little over 1 mile) away and this location doesn’t deliver to us. In fact, no Jimmy John’s does. I have 2 others that are around 6 min away from us. Maybe they need to reevaluate their zones.

I ordered a sub online to have delivered to my house. It took 38 minutes for it to come… I called and complained and the guy said«sorry, it should be there soon» and hung up. The delivery guy FINALLY came to my door and told me to sign, but he didn’t have a pen… really? You’re going to be almost 40 minutes late, and then make me run around my house to try and find a pen? And not even apologize? Come on…

Tony, the manager, called on 3⁄6 and asked if there was anything he could do to make up for the experience I had that past Sunday. He sincerely apologized for the way our order was handled and offered us a comp meal. I am very happy that Tony reached out to me and attempted to mend the relationship between me and the Glenview Jimmy Johns. I wish all managers were like him and truly concerned about a customers dining experience. Thank you Tony.

This is fresh? I never eat at Jimmy Johns but it was a last resort. We were the only ones in the whole store. We walked in and said hello and was greeted with an awkward silence.

I had a bad experience here. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to order for my son and the guy at the counter(seemed to be someone in charge) was getting impatient with me. Then I had my parenting skills questioned by a skinny twerp boy. I had planned to sit and eat here but of course couldn’t since I was humiliated by a 15 year old boy and«management» seems to think nothing of it. I avoid this place now.

1. The«good» staff is still there. They’ve had some turnover but some are actually the same people from a couple of years ago. In any case, same solid experience every time. 2. I lunch here a lot because it’s quietish and I can read. IF I get one of the two tall window tables. Which I will stake out and vulture if necessary(usually it isn’t if I go around 1pm). 3. Day-old bread for fifty cents! Recently I’ve been eating a lot of sausages at home for dinner, and I can never get good rolls. Something like Rosen’s is about right, but most of the bag goes stale because I only need one or two at a time. None of Jewel’s and Dominick’s bulk rolls are any good, and they cost $ 0.50 apiece. After weeks of this dance, the idea of Jimmy John’s bread hit me like a bolt from the blue. Not only do I LIKE the bread, but I get a long loaf for half a buck, good to hold two large sausages or three small ones. Can’t beat it.

Wow! What an improvement! I have been a customer of good ol’ Jimmy Johns on Glenview for about a year now. If it weren’t for the fact that I like the subs, I probably would not have returned. But now I’m glad I did. Today was a far different experience than previous visits. It appears that they have an entirely new staff. Gone are the older disgruntled employees I encountered in visits past. They are now replaced with fun, happy-to-work-together high school students who live up to the«subs so fast you’ll freak» tagline. Upon opening the doors today, more than six fresh faces turned our direction, ready to place, make and deliver our orders. My sandwich was in my had before I even finished my transaction. Now THAT is service.

As mentioned, my main reason for reviewing is to note that they have a lettuce wrap offering. You can turn any sub or normal sandwich into an «unwich» upon request. They’re happy to change gloves too, for those with allergies. Careful as mayo seems to come standard on a lot of their food. :P

Really good sandwiches. Fresh bread, deli meat that doesn’t seem as processed as some other chains. Still, a chain nonetheless and the menu is a bit confusing. They do offer many options. If you want low fan, go sans mayo and for carbo counting Atkins followers, they offers their sandwiches in a lettuce wrap instead of with bread. They also have many combos available and their club sandwiches are very good.
