Love this place. Girls are really nice and friendly. Salon is clean, with a nice design. I’ve been going to the other place across the street for many years, but they closed the salon 3 years ago, for some time I couldn’t find good place to go, and ones in rush I just ran into salon for a last minute manicure, they did a great job. So now I am going only to Lemon Nails for mani and pedi. Happy with the job the do!

I came here twice so far, one for no chip and the second for no chip mani and pedicure. The place is very clean and I appreciate it looking very professional. I will keep coming back because I do feel that they do a very good job on their clients. They definitely take their time. They lose one star however do to customer service. They have a giant sign that says walk in welcome, but twice before I walked in with no appointment and they look so mad about it. Like ugh why don’t you have an appt. I mean I’m sorry, but if you prefer appointments only, don’t have a sign that says walk in welcomes. Also, I feel that they aren’t very nice, just overall look constantly annoyed and don’t really take care of their customers. This is a customer service business and I really feel they need to step up their game and make their clients feel more welcome. However, that being said I do still hold true to my review at the beginning that they do a great job on service. I just feel with a little extra customer service effort, they would absolutely be 5 stars.

I don’t appreciate being nickled and dimed. I called to ask how much their no chip was, and made an appointment. When I came in, they saw I had no chip on but did not mention an extra charge for removal. When I objected to the extra charge, Amy rudely argued with me and said all salons do this. As if I don’t perfectly know otherwise lol. It is a nice looking salon and I noticed they have some regulars, but they don’t seem to have a lot of respect for new clients. Other reviews mentioning the techs chatting in their native language about clients and watching TV while working are quite valid. Regardless, this place is close to my work and I would have liked to go back if I hadn’t been treated like an ameteur to nickle and dime on top of the shotty service. They need to get their customer service act together if they want any clients outside of their regulars.

Rude. Like out of a Seinfeld episode… Speaking in a foreign language clearly about clients as they all look at the client who just exited while they are chattering away in whatever language they were speaking. They were all watching Ellen as they half heartedly paid attention to what they were doing. Not a good experience… With a nail salon on nearly every corner these days… I won’t go back. ICK.

I was excited to find a new nail salon near us, so we tried this place. The first few times they were pleasant and took us as walk-ins, graciously. However, the last 2 times I showed up as a walk-in(note: they have a large neon sign on their door that says«Walk ins Welcome!) they were very bitchy about it. They obviously are not happy with people who walk-ins. I can understand that, when there are appointments, but don’t be unprofessional about it. Don’t know their names, but they made a face and made it look like I was asking them to climb Mt. Everest in my request. I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on.

Went there for a no chip manicure. It was at the end of the day on a Saturday. I did call in to make an appointment. The manicurist rushed me to choose the color, then proceeded to scrape my nails and cuticles so hard, I was in pain. I have never experienced anything like that before. The entire time the techs were speaking loudly to each other in their language. I found it very offensive.

Congratulations to Amy, Ellen and their partners! SO excited for them and their new business venture! I have followed Amy to several locations as she is the absolute best! I’ve had manicures all over the country while traveling on business and there is NOONE better than Amy! I now travel almost 40 miles for mani/pedis with Amy. Some may think I’m crazy, but to me it’s well worth it. No one can compare to Amy! Their new shop is beautiful — bright, cheerful and immaculately clean. I wish them all the best!

I stopped in one day on the recommendation of a friend. They were accommodating, friendly and did a great job on my no-chip manicure, I have been back several times and the staff is consistently nice. The salon is very clean and they autoclave the instruments between clients. They offer hot tea and had the TV on to TV Land or one of those old channels, so it was a nice little break :)

Love this place! It’s brand new and really cute. I always just feel happier after walking in. and Amy and Ellen(the owners) always do a great job. It’s like magic… My manicures last twice as long.

Not impressed. I wanted to check out the new place and maybe discover something new. NOPE. I had a French manicure and two days later it chipped terribly.(I am not hard on my nails at all either.) I give fair reviews, but this place disappoints. Nothing special stands out with this place. It’s clean and the esthetics are neat. Great sparkly ceiling, but the manicure was nothing special for $ 20. Some places warm the lotion, massage your neck when done, offer you tea or coffee, have a little specialty added to make you come back. Not here. There were 5 workers in the time I was there and only one other customer. They spoke Korean the ENTIRE time, which normally doesn’t bother me, but aren’t they trying to impress their customers when it’s a new business? The mop right by the door? Put it away. Employees sitting on the couch? Red Six Nails on Milwaukee Ave, NB is where I’ll be going to.

Decided to give this place a try as it just opened not too far from me. It’s a clean, bright, neat and organized space. They don’t do acrylic nails so there’s no offensive smell here. They did a very nice job on my mani and were super nice and welcoming to me. My only ‘complaint’(and the reason for 4, not 5 stars) is that the pedicures are a bit steep at $ 35. I’ve been to many places where you can get a mani and pedi for that or less. However, the ladies are so nice and the space is very welcoming… I will be back… Just probably not as often as I’d like b/c of the price.

Lemon Nails/Glenview opened up about a month ago. Amy and Ellen bring over 20 years combined experience to the nail salon market. Their new salon is absolutely gorgeous in every way. The manicure stations are spacious and their pedicure chairs are the most comfortable I’ve encountered. As for the manicure and pedicures I give them an A+++. I’ve actually been following Amy for years. So happy she(and co.) now own their own place. Oh, I also love the fact that they don’t charge my 11 year old daughter for a full price mani/pedi — they have a separate kids/teens rate card!

This new nail salon is wonderful! The atmosphere is crisp and clean while still remaining welcoming and friendly. Amy is a wonderful manicurist and I am never let down!
