This place was… Terrible. I’m convinced that everyone who wrote great reviews raving about this place probably make terrible life choices because this place was bad. My friend and I ordered the Hibachi steak and shrimp and were disappointed! Presentation was«slap some rice on the plate, put steamed vegetables where the water from the veggies soaked up the rice & the steak and shrimp were thrown on the grill with no seasoning.» The sauces that came with it… The white sauce tasted like blended thousand island salad dressing with mayo and a splash of vinegar. The brown sauce was soy sauce and lemon juice. The teriyaki sauce was straight from the bottle. I guess you get what you pay for, I should have know it was going to be crap since a plate was like $ 7. The only good thing about this place was the price(I should have known cheap steak/shrimp would be crap) and our waitress was really nice and attentive. Other than that, this place sucks.

Good food but terrible chiness owner :(I worked there about 2month in 2010 it was very bad memory !! the owner was yelling at all the worker(cook waitress) also she always make a drama about this waitress very bad talking to another waitress… If someone don’t make a goship with her she make a goship about that person. The best part was she stole the tip for all most 2months that’s why I quit work there ! Who ever make a tip they HAVE to put tip in side the bucket in side the front desk table n she will change the money. I know I make $ 60−80doller but she always give me only 20 – 40 so I wanted to know what’s going on so I wrote down how much do I make of course owner saw she said u don’t trust me? If u don’t wanna work u don’t need to work«after that she was really mean to me n make more drama to another waitress. I deside to count again how much I make yes money has been missing every day n I told her money’s missing n there a one camera it was poing to the front count next day she move to another side it was most worse place to work the biggest part was all the worker was knew about money’s missing but thay don’t wanna lose job or they don’t want owner make a goship about them :(

Staff was very friendly and the food was good and tasted fresh. All the the food was cooked behind a window. Great for groups and fast service too. I was in town for a bit and glad to get Japanese food down south!

Fuji a great place. Every time I order mostly the same which is fillet and chicken. The portion is pretty generous and delicious. Service was also great ;) i love to eat shrimp but at this place it not one of my favs. Besides that everything is great.

I’ve been eating here for years and I still make a point to stop in every time I’m in Goldsboro. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant, hands down. The food is as inexpensive as you’re going to find for a good hibachi. The portions are huge, especially for the dinner meal, and it tastes as good or better than a place like Kanki where you’ll pay three times as much for the same dish. Back before I was a vegetarian, I used to eat the shrimp dish and can personally vouch for its quality. The vegetarian meal is also quite tasty and I can’t get enough of their«white» and«brown» sauces. This place is good for couples or a causal meal with friends, and they also have a back dining room to accommodate large groups. You’ll be fine in jeans, but it’s not unusual to see people in moderately dressy attire celebrating an event. Customer service also tends to be very good. Almost of the staff know my family well and make a point to ask about how anyone from our crew who doesn’t make it out to dinner is doing. Be aware that they are not open all day. The restaurant shuts down sometime after lunch and then reopens at 5 pm. That can be inconvenient sometimes, but honestly, it’s worth the wait.

Oh, Fuji, I miss having lunch with you. Your hibachi chicken & fried rice for $ 5 is one of my favorite lunchtime meals & the waitresses are always so nice even when they’re juggling an insane amount of tables. I like their hibachi steak, too. I need a place like this in Fuquay! Hibachi & Co. just doesn’t cut it!
