I used to LOVE Jojo’s. It was one of my favorite places to go; I would refer people there. But since the new owners have taken over, all the British food is gone, except for the shepherd’s pie(which last I checked had doubled in price). The British fare was what really made Jojo’s special and different from other places. We went for breakfast a couple of months ago and were very sad to find they no longer had crumpets, scones, or anything British. The food we had was good, but nothing different than I could get anywhere else.

Solid place for lunch. I had the lasagna and it was really tasty along with some sort of flat bread side. Caesar salad was standard. Also has a bowl of tomato basil soup. Although nothing wrong with the soup, I simply did not care for it much.

wonderful and with a pleasant smile. the lemon tarts are the way to finish a great lunch of chicken and asparagus quiche or the jacket spuds with shrimp an the tasty Queen Mary sauce.

Support local business and check this place out. Not much going on downtown especially during the road construction but this place is a hidden gem. They recently added a bar. Check it out at least once and decide for yourself.

By far, my visit to this restaurant has been the worst experience since I’ve been in Goldsboro. Some co-workers of mine made the suggestion that I try this place out, so I did because their suggestions had been pretty good so far; unfortunately, this time was a fail. When I entered the establishment there were about 5 other people inside, so I seated myself and waited for service. There was a lady who greeted me, took my order and served my dish, she was quite pleasant, but I could tell that she was super busy. So I ate my food, drank my water and waited for service because I was going to buy a slice of cake, but no one ever stopped back by the table, which is odd because my table was near the register. Finally, I tried calling out to a waiter, but was ignored. So I stood up and went to the register, finally the waiter walked over to see what I wanted. I asked for a to-go box and I told him that I wanted to pay. He was quite unpleasant, like he didn’t want to help me, snatched my credit card from me, then had the nerve to ask for a tip. Sighhhhh… I won’t return.

This place is very cute and inviting. The last time I came I didn’t love the food I got. It seemed a little lackluster. However, on this trip the food was much better. I had the shepherds pie and it was delightful. I was not impressed with the staffs knowledge of menu items. Last time I was in there I had a wonderful Bloody Mary and this time the person doesn’t know how to make one. She did make a mimosa for us though. It was a bit warm but I drank it anyways. I will probably go back again but I will make sure its later in the day and not for lunch.

I came in to check it out because of the Unilocal reviews, and I FINALLY caught it during its open hours. It’s cute, very quaint so probably not a good place to bring a large party or loud children. I didn’t order much since I was just stopping in for some coffee. Had to grab a couple cookies since they looked so good. And yes they are! Super soft and tasty. Perfect w my cup of joe. I think next time I’ll stop in for brunch, the hours seem suited for that meal time. The food looks and smells good the reviews about the food makes it even more appealing. Not a 5 star yet for me since I haven’t tried it all. I will update if/when I try it a few more times.

What a cute little place with great food! I travel for work and found this little gem on Unilocal.I prefer local places vs chains any day. My husband enjoyed their wifi and P. G. tips English tea in the A.M. and I met him for lunch. He said the tea was great. For lunch he had the sausage rolls and I had the tomato basil soup. All soups come with grilled cheese or a salad. That’s an obvious choice. Everything is made in house and no doubt with love. Next time I come through Goldsboro I’ll be going back to try something new. For my meal I paid $ 11 with tip. A little pricey for lunch but it’s worth it.

I heard about Jojo’s by word of mouth. I live within walking distance and was excited to have a new place so close by to visit. They have a wonderful, authentically British menu with breakfast and lunch items and an elaborate tea/coffee menu. I was greeted by the owners who were friendly and helpful. I got an iced chai tea(dirty) and a scone with clotted cream and jam. It was delicious! And they also sell true English sweeties at the front. This place also has wifi. I would love to come here and work during the day! I am looking forward to when they can expand their hours.

The atmosphere was quaint. A lot of really good flavors of coffee and tea. The server was the owner I think, and she was very nice, informative and passionate about the menu and drinks that they have. We had breakfast when we visited them and it was good. My sister had the omelette and it had great seasoning but I tasted like it was a bit over done, it should have been fluffier. I had a smoked salmon croissant sandwich, which wasn’t on the menu but the server suggested it. It was tasty, because I love smoked salmon w cream cheese. But I was a bit underwhelmed by it. It needed something else to make it even tastier. We will definitely try more coffee drinks next time tho!

So delicious and the service was awesome. Felt like we were eating at family’s house. We had a full breakfast plate, a breakfast sandwich AND chicken curry! Had to try it all. All was delicious and we are just so sad we haven’t been going the whole time!
