Home made Mexican food fast, low pricing and it was very good. I had the eggs tomato and jalapeño with a side of carna asada.

This place is a dump but the food is awesome. Asada tacos, nachos, and asada burrito all awesome. Skip the chains and stop here over the grapevine.

This is a nice surprise on our way from LA to SF. Food was tasty and fresh, service excellent. Place is a like a 50s diner and rather clean and spacious. This allowed us to have a relaxing meal without the long lines at fast food places. Pork is the best! I will definitely come back.

Wish there were half stars … Everything I look for in a place serving Mexican yum Yums was here except bottomless crispy Hot fresh chipbasket and soft drinks. When you say mild sauces still expect a ltl bite sweaty nose and that heat sensation, Nice size portions!

I’m giving this place a 5 not because it was extremely amazing or anything, but because it was fine and there was nothing wrong. My husband and I stopped here to eat on our way to Paseo and for a random place to stop and eat along the way of a long trip it was satisfactory. My husband ordered the pork al pastor, and I got a mixture of fish and shrimp cocktail. Our plates looked really good, they set them nicely. My husband really liked his and thought it was good. He tried mine and liked my food as well. Maybe given that I’m not the biggest Mexican food fan, I didn’t enjoy the cocktail so much. I thought it was a little bland and the fish might as well have not been there as it gave no flavor to the meal. I had my husband finish the remains of mine because I was over it and didn’t like it too much. But it wasn’t horrible, and I’ve tasted worse.

Looks like it used to be a ‘50s diner. The people were friendly and courteous. I ate breakfast here, ordering the nopales omelette. We also had chips and salsa because chips and salsa are okay any time of day, breakfast, lunch, dinner or in between, right? The food was good, nothing amazing, nothing awful, and quite welcome after camping up in Mt. Pinos. I’d definitely choose this again over Carl’s Jr. or the other places to eat in this area in Gorman, located near Frazier Park and the Grapevine.

On vacation with my family headed to Knott’s Berry Farm decided to grab breakfast real quick heading threw the Grapevine stopped off here thinking its going to be delicious… Horrible customer service didn’t check to see if we wanted to order, extremely hot inside, dirt flying in the air(which makes me question their food quality) tables are not cleaned, walls falling apart with the paint chipping away having mold grow underneath(GROSS) we decided to leave while walking out two women were watching us not saying a word to assist us. … Obviously they don’t value their customers . This place rocks with the best tortillas and authentic Mexican Food. Super fast and tasty. I live in Santa Cruz, Ca –very qualified as I eat Mexican food at least twice a week. They staff was friendly and courteous. The veggie burrito was out of this world with fresh chiles and great salsa. Never even considered stopping atop the Grapevine for food but will think again next time I roll through. BTW– they have jumbo authentic cokes from Mexico as well.

Is El Grullense as good as it gets? If we’re talking about random, off the highway, let’s stop and fill our bellies with something out in the(almost) middle of nowhere type food… it’s pretty darn close! I ordered the Green Chile Burrito which comes STUFFED with green chile(chunks of pork meat simmered in green chile sauce), cheese, homemade refried beans and rice. The burrito was as big on taste as it was on the plate. It was seriously some of the best green chile I’ve ever had(taking a solid second or third place next to grandma’s). My wife ordered the carne asada tacos plate which, for $ 5.50 got her: three tacos, rice and beans with cheese. Not a bad deal at all considering the sides were huge and the tacos were tasty! The meat wasn’t too tough or fatty. My brother in law ordered the chicken fajitas, which were just as tasty as the other two dishes. Again, the portion was very generous, with just as much chicken as there was onions, tomato and bell peppers. The only thing that didn’t allow me go five stars on this place is due to the quality of the children’s menu items. The French fries came out fresh, but dripping oil as well. The chicken nuggets tasted like those you put in the microwave which come in the pre packaged kid’s freezer meals. My niece ordered the breaded shrimp and the meal only came with three pieces of shrimp, which weren’t flavorful at all. Basically, stick to the(many) Mexican dishes they offer here, and you can’t go wrong.

THEBESTTACOSINCALIFORNIA, PERIOD!!! I grew up in the central valley and lived all up and down the state so I’ve had my share of good and bad tacos. I’ve only had the carne asada tacos and they are as authentic as the taquero in any little Mexican town. King Taco has nothing on these guys.

Let’s just say, if you’re grabbing food while driving the vine, this is where to go. Great food, and a total hole in the wall. If you want some authentic, tasty, and convenient Mexican on your way to the bay or to LA, this stop is worth the trip.

Still as good as the first time. Their lingua tacos are delicious. The carne asada is tasty as well, but I seem to go for the lingua every time we stop.

For us locals to frazier park, I think most if not all of us, are proud of this little gem. I grew up in LA so I know what good authentic mexican food is like, and right here it felt like home. The Fejitas are amazing and the food is great. Our waitresses have always been sweet, and we always tip well PROS: Lengua, Salsa, Fejitas CONS: doesn’t look super clean but got an A on expection. WATCHOUTFOR: ??? Just stop(:

Came across this little place by accident, it’s kind of hidden but what a wonderful surprise of the most delicious food. Tasty beans and best carnitas! We always make sure to stop on our way to Chico, it’s a must to have their carnitas plate or the carnitas tacos. You won’t be disappointed. So glad we found this little gem!

Had a bomb ass breakfast burrito here! So much flavor — eggs, chorizo, spicy salsa, rice and beans. Surprisingly maybe one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. BBQ pork tacos were pretty good as well(but not as amazing as the burrito).

Total hole in the wall, but their food is always delicious! Been there multiple times and never have been dissapointed. Carne asada tacos and their bean and chesse burrito are our favorite. Carne asada torta is also very good. There salsa is always fresh and their horchata sweet. Definetly authentic mexican food.

Total hole in the wall kind of place, not the most«aesthetically» pleasing, but the food was great. I had 2 authentic tacos, one with BBQ beef and the other with Carne Asada. Reminds me of the yummy taco truck tacos… delicious! Also had the Cheese Enchilada. Very flavorful. Would gladly stop in on our next trek to Southern California :)
