Great place for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Chill décor, mood set with funky Edison lights, cool music. The beer choices were only outdone by the choices on the menu. Our server Matt was friendly and professional. I took his recommendation and tried the wild boar taco and his choice of a beer flight, both great!!! My wife and I would recommend this small plate restaurant to all.

Nice spot for a bite and some vino. Great beers too. Menu has many smaller items, so one can sit for a time, and sip some good wine and nosh. The sound level is a bit loud when crowded, but not overwhelming. Some nights there is music,

Awesome, simply awesome. The wide variety of small dishes to pick and choose from paired with the dim lighting provide for a homey, comfortable mood that tonight, was accompanied by an acoustic blues guitarist with a spectacular set of lungs. The crab cakes are highly recommended!

good selection but terrible service. i asked karyn for a food menu after ordering my drink and she never came back over to take my order. she ignored me completely until after i paid when she came to clear my spot away without saying a word. all the employees were too involved with talking to an obnoxious drunk group at the other end of the bar. i’m a bartender myself & i know how you should treat patrons sitting at the bar. will not be coming back.

My wife and I always enjoy a night out at Craft 47, there are a few other decent spots in Goshen but Craft has live music Friday nights which is typically good. The beer selection is great, I haven’t seen a better craft beer selection outside of Manhattan, definitely the only restaurant I’ve been to that sells Hitchino Nest. I’ve never had a bad dish here, the crab cakes are fantastic, truffle fries, and short rib tacos are also some of our favorites. The service at times is a little slow but I like taking my time, I’m in no rush on date night away from the kids, plus we’re getting small plates and picking not eating entrée’s. People complaining about the owner being rude are likely not from the area, this isn’t Manhattan, people are more blunt and down to Earth, even at restaurants they’re less apt to kiss your backside. People complaining because a bartender asked them«what do you want»? That’s EXACTLY what I want my bartender to ask me! For Orange County NY where our options are typically Buffalo Wild Wings or Applebee’s places like Catherine’s and Craft 47 are a god send.

Cute and low keyed. Good service and atmosphere. Original menu and interesting but small wine list.

C’mon, get outta town… yeah…because that’s where you’ll have to go to find a great craft brew gastropub like Craft 47 that’s situated right here in the righteous town of Goshen. Great brews and a great owner(Franz) that’s personable like family and his welcome home feel permeates throughout. The energy here is fun… the small plates menu is extensive. Let’s just say people come in for take-out orders. Call ahead to confirm events… at least one night a month is closed for a wild bingo bash.

This place is more of a wine & beer bar than a family-style restaurant. Sometimes you’ll find music playing, sometimes a movie that might not be young child-appropriate, and sometimes even other events like a pop-up drawing class. But there is a little something for everyone. I’m not a fan of beer(sorry), but plenty of craft beer are available. And in plain sight are beer tap handles which indicate how often the selections change. But Craft also has a larger than typical wine selection, and the reds stand out. The idea that ‘tapas’ are being served is a stretch, but small and less expensive items are available. For instance, tacos are not really a ‘tapas’, but the fillings that range from curried cauliflower, short rib, wild boar, shrimp with habanero pepper & pineapple indicate this is not a taco stand. Keep in mind — you can order just a simple taco for $ 3-$ 4, no need to get an entire plate. So you can try many different tacos at a time, or simply try other things. Craft does offer some small plates with crostini(sliced bread) topped with goat or some other cheese(s), and they offer an excellent value of charcuterie(salami, mortadella, prosciutto, speck, etc.) and/or cheese plates. Of course, flatbreads are a staple in the small plate restaurants and having an option with black truffles or lobster for $ 10 or less let’s you know you are far from NYC. Rounding out the small plate options are the pintxos(skewers) that are seemingly the least appealing value on the menu. Frankly, we’ve never had one we enjoyed since each time the foods are almost always over-charred. Fries come seasoned or simply plain and are always properly made, but sometimes you can receive the small pieces in the cone-shaped cylinder that shows a lack of love. Craft also serves some larger plates, but we’ve never gotten to that part of the menu since we simply enjoy the variety and general quality of the smaller options. If there is a complaint, it’s that the food can be inconsistent, but the low prices and reasonable value for just about everything makes all the more palatable. Also, some might complain that the staff are not the friendliest bunch — they’re not — but with all the food and drink options, this place is fairly efficient and that should count for something. Minus 1-star for inconsistency, minus 1-star for staff, add 1-star for food value = 4-stars.

Great intimate venue for casual date night. Highlights: Fairly priced wine list with good breadth of selection Incredible tacos(I had steak and short ribs) Great meat and cheese selection sourced from local farms. Service was excellent and friendly(no issues from what I read in other reviews) All and all a great dinner I will be back.

The beer and wine selection is amazing! The food is leaving me with the need to come back for dinner! Ha! We started with the guac which was made fresh and ahmazing! Then my food hubbie had two tacos in which he proclaimed he could eat 6 of the braised short rib tacos! I had the Chipotle chicken which I’m still savoring the flavor. It was the best flatbread I’ve ever had! The chipotle drizzle is unforgettable. This place is a foodies haven!

Great food and drink… including wine. Ed is the best, most fun bartender ever! He turned me on to the wild boar taco, but had it made paleo for me. Now it’s my favorite. Best place in Goshen.

Am from LA/NYC and new to the area. Was recommended by several people to go here. Reflecting what other reviewers have said, the food is decent but pricey for the area but the reason I will not return is due to the rude/poor service. Some events that stuck out: being ignored throughout the meal, told by the waitress to order something on the menu and then getting attitude when we did not get what she recommended, not being brought water/dessert menus after asking several times. Also– although not required, the waitress did not say happy birthday to the member of the group who we mentioned several times we were taking out and bought a dessert for. Definately the«icing on the cake» for us and our negative experience here :).

Nice place. We came for dinner on a Sunday and it was a little quiet. When we first walked in, it took a while for someone to come seat us which I found a bit awkward since it wasn’t busy. But our servers were friendly once we sat down. Hubs and I like trying craft beers and I enjoyed my Magic Hat Electric Peel. His Almanac choice was a little sour. They serve a lot of small plates and we ordered in two rounds. First, we got crab cake, short rib taco, fish taco and grilled shrimp. We like and recommend all of those. Second, we got melted cheese dip, pork belly taco, cauliflower taco and truffle fries. I think I was hoping for a queso type of dip but this wasn’t as melty as I thought it would be. And I usually LOVE cauliflower but the way they served it is prob the reason people don’t like it. I think I like to try items that are out of the box and not always so popular. Should prob stick with the favorites because it’s hit or miss here. Overall though, I think it’s a good find in our area. I can see us coming back again. We will have to try more dishes.

Food was really good and bar staff including Emily and her sister were great. The owner/owners wife Karen was nasty, rude and condescending. Couldn’t believe the way she spoke to employees and then us as customers. Won’t go back because of her attitude. Definitely didn’t tip the way I wanted to for the others based on her. Someone needs to hide her in the back room.

Food wasn’t even god and it took over an hour for us to even see sight of food. Also they brought the food out at separate times so by the time I was done with my food my boyfriend hasn’t even received his. Bad service and no communication on what’s going on.

Was disappointed with our second visit.(We were here a week ago.) Wine was good but clearly gave a thimble full(we are both in the food/spirits business). I should have said something but did not. Flatbread this time was smaller and the chicken choice was dry. perhaps a drizzle of olive oil? Bibb salad was full of grit. not washed. Will not return.

Let me start by saying our waitress was awesome! I had my hopes up I was looking for a great new beer and tapas place to frequent… I’m not sure this will be it 1. Friday night they were already out of the beer on tap that I wanted.(but the waitress made a very good substitution Zombie killer is delicious) 2. The cauliflower taco was extremly disappointing, they need to really rework that or change the price to $ 1, because… Just no 3. I ordered the apple and scallop skewer… The apple was chard black… Like charcoal black… The scallops was perfectly cooked… But there was no sauce. 4. Empanada was average. They have a lot of potential here… The vibe is great… The music tonight was enjoyable as well. I think they could be great with a little more tweaking. I feel that the dishes were not finished… Like they were not thoughtfully planned. The flavors, techniques, and concepts need to be more thoroughly developed.

Over all the experience was«ok» We ordered a bunch of food which was great(truffle fries are amazing) but I ordered a burger cooked medium-rare when I got the burger the outside was cooked to which seemed great, but when I took a bite the inside was pure chopped meat still pink and mushy, so I was rather disappointed in that. Service was very slow, on a Saturday night they deffinatley need more servers on. We got our meals faster than our desserts.

I really wanted to love this place but that’s not happening. Yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out because of how nice it looked inside and the menu looked good. However, we were met with such an un-friendly, un-welcoming waitress it ruined the rest of the meal for us. Btw the waitress happened to be the owner. When we walked in the owner and her husband were standing at the bar and did not even lift their heads to welcome us. So we sat ourselves. No biggie but then the waitress came up to us handed us the menus and when she came back to ask us our drinks we asked her if she had a beer menu. Her reply was«nope, you have to look on the board». The board which is behind the bar so my boyfriend had to get up and look instead of her reading it out to us. She was so short with us it really felt like she had better things to do then wait on us. When she asked me what kind of beer I liked she seemed annoyed that I didnt know which one to ask for. So she rudely prompted me to name my two favorites and then she picked one for me. While I did like her choice her demeanor was so rude. We were shocked at much she seemed to hate us for being there. When it came time to order the food I just gave it right back to her which was very short and just fired out what we wanted. I dont know if she realized she was being nasty but then she lightened up a bit. We really wanted to just sit there for awhile eat, drink and be merry but she ruined it. I thought of walking out but we were starving and wanted to try the food. We ordered the truffle fries, goat cheese and crostinis, and empanadas which were really good. Then we ordered two slider which were good and 2 tacos each. The tacos were really boring and needed more flavor. With that and two beers our bill came to around $ 58. We ate so fast she even mentioned how fast we ate. We just wanted to get out of there. I have never felt so un-welcomed!!! So instead we left and went a few towns over to the Captains Table which always is a welcoming experience. Honestly if the owner was nicer and treated us better we most likely would of stayed and spent more money. But I dont think I’ll ever go back again. I have also heard from others about how nasty she is when serving. You shouldnt open up a bar if you cant be kind to your patrons.
