Beware if you have a free cheese pizza coupon from welcome wagon. The owner will give you a hard time to honor it if at all, even going so far as to say it is a counterfeit coupon. The pizza is overpriced as is the salad. A large three topping pizza and a large salad was about $ 30 and the salad is mostly iceberg lettuce. I would expect a brick oven crust for that amount, but the crust is premolded frozen crust. Tasteless both in food and in service, this place has lost my patronization after one visit.

Nice friendly service with good food. The place is nothing fancy but perfect if you want a quick decent sub. The only down fail is its cash only but there are plenty of banks around. Also happy to finally find a place close by that sells a regular Cold cut sub.

Avoid this place for pizza. I can’t speak to the grinders, but I have to say that the cheese was burnt and fell off, the sauce was not good at all. I have had better sauce out of a can from Stop and Shop. The crust was(like many others stated) horrendous. I think it must have been frozen. It crumbled. I spent $ 30 on a large three topping, and a small cheese. Just stay away for pizza. IFYOUREADNOTHINGELSEABOUTTHISPLACE, SAVEYOUR $$…

BEST meatball grinders in Connecticut! The grinder sauce they use is the best sauce I have ever tasted. Depending on how long you wait to eat after you order the grinder I get light sauce on the bread, then order sauce on the side. The pizza is not my favorite– as I don’t like«thick» crust pizza. However, the calzones are very good. I usually order green peppers and meatball and extra sauce on the side. You won’t be disappointed! Great times at ABC. Could use a bit of updating but that’s a given when you walk in.

Just moved from New York and thought I’d try the closest place. The pie I ordered had no structure at all, couldn’t even hold it in your hand it was so sloppy. The pie itself tasted horrible. You’re better off buying a crust, sauce, and cheese and making your own. Most school cafeteria pies are better than ABC.

This place was the biggest rip off. My husband ordered a large sub, which the teenager who was wearing next-to-nothing told him it was very big, it was so small he could have eaten another one. I ordered the veggie calzone, it said it was a mix of «epplant mushrooms, broccoli, onions and peppers» — when i got it i couldnt believe how SMALL it was and how there were BARELY any vegetables. total they probabaly put 1⁄3 cup’s worth — and get this, it was $ 15!!! My jaw dropped when we went to pay, I couldnt believe it. Never going back again — not worth it.

After many terrible visits to a place that years ago was great, I had conversation with the owner. Unfortunately due to his age & health he can’t be in at times and or at all, leaving it to his daughter to run. Well if that’s what you want to call it, keeps going the way she’s doing it I give it not long before they’re out of business. Love how quality, customer service gone from 10+ to –10 in now time flat! Refuse to give ABC1 penny of my money ever!

I’ve lived in Granby most of my life, and have never been the biggest fan of their pizza. Especially in a town where 95% of the restaurants are pizza places, there has always been somewhere that was better in my mind. Also, as other reviews stated, the staff was also a group of teenagers that didn’t give off the most welcoming vibe. However, their calzones are AMAZING. They put cheddar in the calzone in addition to the usual mozzarella and ricotta which is delicious along with the crispy crust and yummy sauce. I get that they might want to keep it looking like this cool little hole in the wall, but the place could really use some updating. The only reason they’re getting 4 stars from me is because of those calzones.

Stopped by on a Sunday with my wife for lunch. Grinders were not good and had to fight with the fruit flies to eat it.

I’ve never understood the draw of this place, particularly as there are lots of pizza options in the area that are far superior. The restaurant looks like it hasn’t been updated in 30 years, and the pizza is greasy and is reminiscent of Chuck E. Cheese.

As much as I like pizza there wasn’t much that I could say about their pizza. It was just okay, in fact I think I like dominos better. There are other places in town along with simsbury that serve much better pizza in my experience.

I have trouble rating this place because I have only had their meatball grinders, but they are excellent. Just the right ratio of sauce to roll to meatball to peppers. Also, they slice the meatballs then up them into the sandwich so it is more comfortable to eat. I hate it when they are a full or cut in half meatball and they are always sliding out but that doesn’t happen here. Best of all, Tuesdays they are on special so they are more reasonable as well. My rating is based purely on the meatball grinder.

Agree with other reviews. Grinders OK– Pizza is Greek style ??? Disinterested teenagers are the staff. Get it? Steer clear.

Just had their pizza once and it was good… not gourmet or anything but good basic not doughy pizza. Did check the local health department site and this looks like a clean place which makes me want to give them another try because there are lots of grubby-looking ones around here.
