Most excellent. Freshest salad I’ve had in a long time. Ingredients tasted fresh-picked. Kale Trail w/goat cheese. I’m so satisfied.

They have a contemporary menu. Portion sizes are generous. Ingredients are fresh and there are a ton of healthy options. But lack of seasoning and some bad bread just killed it for me. Given the high cost of everything on the menu, there’s not a lot of room for big blunders. Quinoa was a soggy mush. Tasted of particularly bland cucumber. Seriously, a pinch of salt? A few cracks of black pepper? Sandwich bread was incredibly dry. When I bit into it a single slice came apart in two seperate layers with a lot of air inbetween. Not pleasant. The meats, cheeses and sauces were tasty and well-balanced. Otherwise is was an all right time. The patio is an attractive feature, and the service and atmosphere were enjoyable. My wife enjoyed her gigantic salad. I would definitely go back and give them another try. Overall things were«good,» I was just expecting more given the high cost.

Amazing healthy food! Loved this place for lunch. The combo salad and panini is actually a lot of food. The bowls they use for salads are huge. I could have easily gotten away with a small version of the salad and been good. I got the fig salad which was great and light on the dressing. Also got the ham and cheese panini and holy delicious that was. Had Brie melted in it Def. making a return on my next business trip out to Junction.

Stopped for lunch at Café Sol while traveling on I70. We had our dog with us and he was allowed to sit with us on the sunny patio. We had the Guacamole panini and Chicken boom boom panini(the guacamole was my favorite). Flavored water was very good. Perfect stop for lunch.

I was traveling from California, to Utah, to Colorado and had lunch at Café Sol. The food was great. They had many paninis sandwiches to chose. I would highly recommend the KALETRAIL salad made with kale, mixed greens, roasted beets, chia seeds, fresh mozzarella, chickpeas, fresh herbs, red wine vinaigrette $ 7⁄10. I had the salad dressing and the mozzarella on the side and not in the salad. It was not only delicious but very filling.

Amazing!(in my best Paul Giamatti voice). The salads are off the charts, the paninnis are inventive, and the soups… especially the corn & crab bisque is truly out of this world. Great place for lunch. Service is great; servers are friendly and gracious.

My daughters and I love coming here as the food is always fresh, local, and nicely presented. This may be a strange thing to compliment, but the water is good too. We have had smoothies here as well which were quite tasty.

Who would have thought a grilled cheese could be so awesome?! Well here it totally is! Was a little skeptical of spending $ 10 on a grilled cheese, but it’s worth it. Atmosphere is chill and staff is friendly. Will be back, thanks!

First timer and loved my veggie panini! There was a little mix up and had to wait a little bit for our lunch but no worries, because they gave us a complimentary guac & chips which was yummy!

Driving through town we wanted to stop somewhere quick and local. Unilocal got us here and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is causal and easy. It would be a great place for a date night or ladies lunch. The menu offers food from local farmers. We got the turkey bacon and chicken guacamole paninis. You could tell the avocado was fresh. The meat was tender and the bread not over done. The bathroom was also really clean… FYI. Staff was friendly and served us quickly. When I’m back in Grand Junction I’ll definitely come back here!

This has to be one of the only places in western Colorado that serves fresh healthy food in a relaxed family atmosphere. Their selection of free fruit, citric, or vegy enfused water gives you the option to save a buck and still have a tasty drink. Also very low key and friendly. My favorite —– the blue fig salad — - to die for! The old sailor that eats healthy, Pete dee

What a find via Unilocal while driving from Denver to Great Basin Nat’l Park! My friend and I really loved this little place — food was VERY fresh and the walk-up and order service was friendly.(the person who brought our food to our table was also very friendly — just sayin’). Lunch was awesome — my friend ordered a cup of their special soup-of-the-day and it was some sort of chili/stew and she really enjoyed it. She also had a piece of their just made apple cobbler with ice cream on the top and I tasted that, too, and talk about HEAVEN! I had a mango/banana/blueberry smoothie(which was KILLER) and a small pear salad which was one of the best salads that I have had anywhere! Besides the mixed greens and sliced very fresh pear, there were maple-roasted pecans, blue cheese crumbles, sliced figs, and some nice dressing. I would eat here again in a heartbeat!

Café Sol was absolutely delicious! My girlfriend and I each had the soup and panini combo. I had the jalapeño and turkey panini with no mayo and the split pea and ham soup. The split pea soup did not look like what I thought it would. I expected what split pea soup traditionally looks like, but this one had the consistency of chicken noodle soup with the taste of split pea. It was delicious! I would recommend it to anyone. My panini was also very delicious, but nothing different about it than other panini’s. My girlfriend had the turkey panini with the Thai summer squash soup. Her soup was also delicious, especially if you love squash. The spices were perfect and gracefully crept up to give that perfect kick at the end of every taste. We also got the mango, banana, blueberry and OJ smoothie to split. It had a great balance of each flavor and we savored it to the last drop. Overall, the experience was great! I recommend it to anyone going through Grand Junction.

Hands down my favorite joint in GJ. Smoothies, smoothies, smoothies. This place makes a mean one. I do get tired of OJ being in every one of them, but the fresh fruit makes up for it. The tortilla soup is always spot on and so is the crunch salad. I got a smoothie here at least once a week for over two months and I miss them already. Add flak seeds or yogurt for a little extra boost. If I ever go back to GJ, this place will be on my list.

I was really taken with this restaurant. It hit all my buttons — in a great way. First, they source produce locally — and from my favorite places: Blaine’s Tomatoes, Field to Fork, Okagawa Farms, and The Produce Peddler! That alone makes me happy. Their basic menu of soups, salads and paninis is great and covers vegan/vegetarian through meat eaters. I think you could take almost anyone there and they would find something that they would like. But, on top of that, they offer daily specials. When we were there, they had a red pepper bisque, a gazpacho and a turnip/rosemary soup. Who makes a turnip soup??? Of course, I had to try it. And, it was wonderful. It came out a somewhat unappetizing shade of green(gray green). But — I spent the whole bowl trying to analyze the flavor. It tasted like something I had eaten before but I couldn’t really ever figure it out. Not that it mattered. It was probably the best bowl of soup I have eaten in a long time. And I am a soup eater! We actually started with the crispy chick pea appetizer. Got a nice sized bowl of lightly fried and salted chick peas. Served with several toothpicks for spearing them and transporting them to the two dipping sauces(the house dressing and a feta dressing). Even with two of us — that app kept us busy, amused and happy while we waited for our meal. I got the veganini panini(with Blaine’s tomatoes — I cannot overstate how delicious those tomatoes are!). Loved the sandwich with the roughly mashed hummus and some really excellent greens(kale?). My husband had the Mount Garfield salad. They asked if he wanted large or small — we pointed to one that looked pretty massive that they were putting together in the kitchen and said«that size» — oddly, it was the small. You get a lot for your money here! It is the little things that really make me love this place. Food is excellent and whimsical(they put together unexpected combinations that really work!). You can buy wine, beer, soda, juice. Or you can help yourself to their water. Plain water, lemon water, cucumber lime water in nice big glass containers. The place is very attractively styled. The counter help is knowlegable and helpful. There is someone delivering food to tables, bussing tables, keeping the water carafes filled — you never feel rushed, but the place is always in good order. I love that they are a green and sustainable restaurant. I feel good about eating there and I feel good about what I eat there. This will be an on-going favorite for me.

Really loved it here! Great service and great fresh-as-it-gets food! For some reason I was craving salad while we were in Colorado — and they took care of that tout de suite! Great beet salads and sides! Will be back when I’m in Grand Junction next time.

I never thought I’d find a place in GJ with a vegan labeled product right on the menu board in front of my unsuspecting then insanely surprised face. Not to mention that item being vegan gumbo. The gumbo was super tasty and dang spicy(as it should be). We also really enjoyed the chips and guac and the salad my pal ordered was massive and looked terribly fresh and delicious. Tons of great salad, sandwich, and drink options and it’s so relieving to see a place that offers healthy and delicious foods. So many props for having vegan items!
