Big Apple Bagels

Wish I could give zero stars. Refused to sell us three dozen bagels or even two dozen bagels even though they clearly had them, stating they had «supply and demand.» Will never enter this store again.

My first experience: I was driving by here on a Saturday morning & decided to stop in and grab a bagel since I had never been here. Got the asiago. Yum. It was big with just the right softness to it.
A few weeks pass and here comes a Groupon — $ 5 for $ 10 to spend here. Awesome, can’t wait to try more bagels here and the sandwiches!
We decide to have a breakfast potluck at work. I decide it is the perfect time to get a bagel assortment and some cream cheese to contribute since I have $ 10 to spend.
I stop in and say I want the dozen deal from the menu on the board. That consists of a dozen bagels & two ½ pounds of cream cheese. They have several different cream cheese options and I can’t wait to try some. The girl picking out my bagels seemed to be struggling a bit. I said cinnamon raisin and watch her put a cinnamon sugar in my bag. Apparently some of the bagels have an upcharge which I didn’t see anywhere but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t posted. That kind of annoyed me. Whatev. I choose my dozen and then repeat that I want the dozen deal. The girl who picked out my bagels rings me up while another worker looks through a list to find my Groupon # to cross off the list. The lady with the list asks the bagel girl if I had cream cheese and she said no. So for the 3^rd time I say I want the dozen deal and the bagel girl gave me a look like «duh». So they ring me up using my $ 10 coupon and say I am all set.
Hmmmm. Nobody has asked me what cream cheese I would like. So I say «What about my cream cheese» and the list lady looks at me and says «She said you didn’t have any» and sighs like she doesn’t know what to do. I was so irritated. I said forget it, reached for my bag & walked out the door.
Bad way to start the day. If I can read the menu then the girl working should be able to as well. I don’t usually say I will never go back based on 1 bad experience and I do have another Groupon to use… hopefully my next trip is better!

The northern omelet on an everything bagel is my breakfast of choice here. Always fresh and delicious bagels but the staff is very impersonal and unfriendly. Never a good morning or how are you when you stop in.
