Went here for a friend’s 21st. Big and very open place with a good crowd on Thursday nights(90’s night). DJ looks like he was born in 1940, but he played good songs. Get there early before 10:00 for a $ 2 cover and to get a table. Everything after that is a $ 10 cover and standing room/dancefloor only. $ 2 pitchers and $ 4 shots. Free popcorn in the back corner too! Definitely a fun place to be for Thursday Night Football and a good time overall.

Friendly Bartenders, cool little places, nice selection of alcohol. I have seen lots of people who are under aged coming in recently. You better train your security how to check Fake Ids. These Under aged gals and guys pictures are in your site. Better remove before the city gives you citation or force to closed down. Which I don’t want to see that happen.

Really impressed with this establishment! From the outside it appears to be your run-of-the-mill bar but the staff was friendly and the place features the cleanest restrooms I’ve ever seen.

Billy’s is so hype on a Monday like never before. I still have yet to explore the rest of the week but the crowd is amazing and full of slumped bodies. This is the place to kick it!

Come one, come all. If you’re looking for a good time, Billy’s lounge has a night for you. The crowd is extremely dependent on the nightly entertainment, ranging from eastown transients to new moms’ night out. A place where old souls seek young bodies and old bodies seek young souls. Sunday(80s night) and Thursday(90s night) are certifiably the most fun the city has to offer on those occasions. If you’re lucky enough to get Brian the bartender, be glad that he’s the best happy hour drink slinger in town. Also great Michigan beer selection and the drinks cheap enough to give you Koch brothers buying power. Overall a great time if you want to sacrifice your inhibitions on the dance alter.

This is a great space from the wood décor to the sound and set up! You have to love a place where you can get Bell’s on Draft and the crowd was definitely stellar! Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town!!!

Friendly bartender, cool and casual space, and incredibly cheap drinks. There’s a pool table and jukebox in the back. No food here(aside from free popcorn from the machine in the back and they sell tubs-o-nuts). So you can grab food and bring it in(yesterdog is right next door). A pitcher of beer, two pints and a tub of nuts ran me $ 17. So cheap!

After going to way too many 80’s nights, I was overjoyed to find a 90’s night in the area. Billy’s puts my favorite 90’s hip hop, pop and a few grunge-ish songs on rotation on Thursday nights. Think Boys II Men, TLC, LL Cool J, and Montel Jordan with a smattering of Live and Foo Fighters. Things don’t get going till late here so keep that in mind when you plan your night. I lost my voice to singing(ok, shouting) along to Salt N Pepper’s «Shoop» but it was totally worth it the next day. If you’re not already familiar with Billy’s it’s the preeminent bar in Eastown, with a great selection of tap and bottled beers and a full bar. It stays close to its community roots by featuring local, live music and nice, neighborly drink specials during the week.

I love going out to Billy’s. I normally get there sometime during the week. I used to come for the Open Mics, but sadly, those have gone away. They do have some good drink specials, pool in back, popcorn, well mixed drinks, cheap shots, great staff, and clean bathrooms, which is always a good thing for a bar.

This place is awesome… exactly how a regular ol’ bar/lounge should be. I’ve only been recently on Sunday which is 80’s Night and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Music was kickin’, all the freaks were out and they had beer specials going for $ 1. Ummm yeah, $ 1. In the words of Toby Keith, «I love this bar… it’s my kind of place… just walkin’ through the front door puts a big smile on my face»

Very close to 5 stars but the smoke and the fact that I have only been a couple of times keeps me from it. We went this past Saturday to see Lurrie Bell. It was a phenomenal experience. I would love to have been able to listen to the blues and drink good cheap beer in its heyday in speakeasies and such. But in GR this is as close as it gets. There isn’t much food other than nuts, but they let you bring in yesterdog or your own stuff. The BEER is top notch for bottom-shelf prices. I had 2 different New Holland Brews on tap and a Leiny Nut Brown. If I had more time they had a ton of craft brews all for $ 3.50/pint. The ambiance feels like a blues bar, kind of dark with a plenty of tables, a nice bar and pool tables in the back. 2 Thumbs up here.

Billy’s is one of my favorite bars in Grand Rapids. Tuesday is a good night to go because you get $ 1 Old Style/PBR/High Life in bottles and no cover. The live music is mostly good(sometimes open mic night opens up to the freaks), which you can’t say about many places around here. The service was really good and the bar has a great atmosphere with a really diverse crowd.

Memories… I met the love of my life, shakin’ my ass on this dance floor. What’s not to love about that? And it’s right across the street from Mully’s! Oh, Mulligan’s. I miss you. Stews… yum! Mostly, I just miss Mulligan’s. But Billy’s is alright, too. I’ll see you there, darlings(and then we’ll head over to Mulligan’s)!

Billy’s is an Eastown favorite. Always hosting live music and DJ’s. On Sunday nights they host REAGANOMICS an 80’s dance party with DJ Silvahalo. Tuesdays is FEVER, a disco, Motown, 70’s dance party with DJ Hustlah. With great music, $ 1 Old Styles, and $ 2 well drinks, how can you go wrong?
