I went here for some cheap eats last week the service was ok but the tables were very messy and I was not impressed with the hot dogs. The prices are good but the quality of the dogs is not. The taste was pretty bland and dry and the buns aren’t great. It’s nothing special and I wouldn’t recommend it. If I had to describe my experience with one word it would be disappointing.

I love crazy Charlie’s! Such a great location and food is always fresh and delicious. Service is always amazing, quick, and friendly.

Affordable, plain and boring. Buns were ok, hot dogs nothing special. Service was good, fries fresh. Basically it’s equivalent to McDonald’s on a good day. Good if the kids are hungry and you don’t want to make them behave or spend a lot.

We are huge Yesterdog fans but now that we are EGR residents, Crazy Charlie’s is a new favorite! The dogs were great and the staff was so nice and very accommodating!

This place is very good! It has very good quality meat and buns. They also serve a variety of yummy side foods like crispy French fries, chips, and many more. They also have ice cream! This place is great! The only thing I have a problem with is the cleanliness of this place. It doesn’t seem clean and refreshing when I walk in like it usually would in a great hot dog place. Overall, this place is good though.

I love Yesterdog, and I was going to be a hard sell to like another hotdog place.
Nevertheless, Charlie’s has won me over. I think the minced pickles really did it for them. The dogs are hotdogs… so, you know what you’re getting, it isn’t healthy or gourmet at all. But, they aren’t chewy, and the coney is pretty Detroit.
I do however really miss frozen cokes.
The shop itself is cute, I love a bright red restaurant. The food is quick.
It is good for a special treat.

Great Dogs! Not like yesterdog or corner bar etc… Just good old chili dogs loaded with the fixings! French fries are cooked oddly but very tasty. My son who is 7 has been coming here since he was 2 and loves his seat by the window

Some of the best coney dogs in Grand Rapids at some incredibly reasonable prices. Plus, they’ve got great ice cream treats (making them a great backup option for when the lines at Jersey Junction are just too long).

I’m giving this a 5 star rating due to prices! $ 2 for a coney dog!!! And fresh hotdogs and real cheddar on the fries!!!

Took my wife and kids here for dinner. I heard it was kid-​friendly, and it is. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, though. The hot dogs are very good, the buns are steamed (nice touch), and the toppings are great! I actually prefer these dogs to those at The Corner Bar or Yesterdog, which I was not expecting. I will definitely be back!

It is hard to compete with Yesterdog in GR, but Crazy Charlie’s has pulled me in! I very seldom crave a chilli dog, but I have found myself needing to go back for more of those Crazy Charlie dogs.
Service is always great and everyone is friendly. Prices are decent as well.

This small new hot dog place is right at the heart of Gaslight Village. During a weekday it’s packed with middle and high schoolers, but the owners are really friendly and they have decent prices and the third best hot dogs in Michigan (behind Yesterdog and GnL).
