Golf Galaxy

I get it that women golfers aren’t dominating the golf market or the sport, but we are apart of it, dang it! And younger female golfers are a part of it too! Golf Galaxy could it kill it if they offered golf attire, shoes, accessories marketed towards females, younger players, and/​or newbie golfers in their stores. I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had with female golfers under 30 — heck under 40 — who are looking for stylish, comfortable golf clothes, shoes, and accessories, that won’t make us look like we’re on Golden Girls!
I’ve been to this Golf Galaxy several times — always hoping for the best– and walking out with maybe some golf balls. There just isn’t the selection here for women that I want. On my most recent trip, I went in looking for golf sandals and after an annoyed and perplexed look from the staff member when I asked about the selection, I left with the best pair of shoes I could find that I thought I would have to make do with. I actually found a cuter, more stylish (and much cheaper) pair of Nike casual golf shoes online and I’m returning the shoes that I bought. Id rather buy from a local place than from online store, so I’m going to keep looking around for a golf store with a selection for women.

Regardless of their return policy, do not expect to ever feel welcome to return something. Last night I went in to return a set of clubs that had been purchased as a gift but weren’t what the recipient was hoping for. I understand that it was an expensive refund, however, it completely followed the store’s return policy. I was scolded, by Brian the manager, for returning such a large purchase, and was interrogated for my return reason. It was not one simple question of «why is this item being returned,» but instead was a constant string of angry questions as each item was being scanned. I was treated like a child. I do not recommend this store to anyone, as the atmosphere and the attitude of the employees, especially that of the manager, is very hostile.
