Had a very cool vibe. Felt like a downtown GR bar but on the beltline. Food was good. Had a chicken breast and arugula salad which was simple and tasty. Had to wait a bit for our server to check up on us. Looked as though they had a few separate rooms for parties or meetings. Menu offered foods ranging from finger foods to main course and even offered pizza! Would go back for sure. I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want that downtown hassle but still a place to hang out and have a nice dinner.

There was a 30 minute wait on a Saturday night around 7:30PM, which was no big deal to me & my boyfriend. It was our first time there & we were excited to check the place out because it looked so cool on the outside! Inside was really neat-looking as well. It felt modern, but comfortable. Not like a brewery or a bar. It felt like a restaurant. Our waiter’s name was Jordan; he was very friendly & knew plenty about the menu & gave us recommendations on beer & food. My boyfriend ordered three beers that he thought were great. For dinner, I got the steak frites with fries & he got the fried chicken with corn mash & mashed red potatoes. Both meals were excellent! We had a great time here spending Valentine’s Day together & trying a new place. Our bill came to $ 50, which was excellent considering the brewery near us normally costs us a pretty penny. The beer here is much more affordable, but just as good. There were so many options too, with both food & beer. We already plan on coming back & bringing friends!

Very nice interior. Had the arugla salad with chicken breast and it was delicious. Menu has a lot of good options from finger foods to full entrees.

I went here with someone for their bday because gravity offers up to a $ 20 dollar entrée for free! However we were not overly impressed with the food. The tap list was decent though. The tots were definitely amazing. This would be an appetizer and beers situation for me in the future.

Slow service. Sat for almost 15 mins without anyone coming up to us. After that it didn’t get much faster. Hostess kept sitting guests in the back and people were asking her to move them to the front because she was putting them so far from everything. Food was lukewarm when it got to me. Awesome vibe, bar, prices and décor but service needs work.

After multiple attempts and never getting a table, we finally got to eat here. It wasn’t worth the wait. The server got two of our drinks wrong; telling me – «We don’t serve that here.» I had to point to the daily menu to show that the drink special I had ordered was on it. She suggested that there was«no button for it» as if that was my problem. The food was typical pub fare. We ordered potato chip nachos to share, they were quite heavy and messy – not in a good way. I’m not sure I’m in any hurry to return. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t meet up with the hype.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 4 pm and they weren’t very busy though it was filling up a bit more by the time we left. We sat on the dining area but one could sit by the bar and probably catch a sports game on the tv’s just fine. They have an extensive beer list which was nice. I got the Italiano pizza that was fine and we each had the Red Water salad that we would each get again. My wife got a Mac and cheese with a few toppings/items that my taste of it seemed good but she wasn’t thrilled with. So a bit of a mixed review on the food but our waiter, Adam, was very knowledgable and did a very nice job. We will probably come back sometime.

I went here around the time it opened and really enjoyed the concept of food and beer pairing.

We went there for the 1st time for dinner. Obviously we had to try the truffle tater tots. It’s hard to go wrong with tater tots but the flavor didnt come through as much as we would have liked. My husband ordered a build-your-own mac and cheese and i ordered the bbq chicken sandwich. Both tasted very good snd portions were massive. There was enough in each dish to fill up 2 people. Although we had a good dining experience, it’s not somewhere I’d be dying to go back to.

I had the Gravity Burger and it was the first time in a long time I have had a burger cooked the way I ordered it, medium rare. The cheddar cheese burger just didn’t have the flavor I was hoping for. Great service and a great selection of beer. Shorts bellaire brown ale with a 7% Abv is one of the best beers I have ever had if not the best. This place has an awesome industrial classy design outside and in. Prices are modest. 8 bucks for the sloppy joe sliders which my wife ordered and she didn’t like nor did I. $ 10 for the burger, I think the beer is 5.

Strike two and will never return. Well overcooked meal. Management was unseen at any point while dining even after a complaint of the food. Wouldn’t have been so bad if this was the first time around. On the brightside, the server, Paxton, did a wonderful job. Management, Jeremy(I received the name from staff and a business card), step it up, you’re going to continue to lose customers if you can’t actually manage the place.

I have visited twice now. I recommend sitting in the bar area, better service than in the main dining area. The atmosphere is pretty cool too. The first time I went(back in winter) the service was slow. I ordered off the restaurant week menu and the food was good, but for the price it was a small portion. The second time I went, I sat at the bar and had great service from the bartenders. They recommended some great beers for a flight. I tried the calamari app, it was ok, nothing excellent. I’ll go back for the beer and bar atmosphere. Would recommend it to others if you are into a beer focused bar experience.

Meh is the best way to describe this place. Lets frame it this way: Foodies: Go for a drink at the bar which has cool ambiance but don’t bother with the food or service from the servers. Bartenders were great though. They even had reasonably priced wine/certain beer. Applebees Fans: You will probably like what they are trying to go for. Food is inconsistent but you might get lucky. We also did a corporate event here and it was a train wreck. The food was lackluster and not worth the price. The room we were given was very nice and new, but the staff again wasn’t great to deal with.

businesses seem to come and go pretty quickly where this restaurant is located, but I bet this one is going ot break that trend. The atmosphere can be different depending on where you sit. There is outdoor space, more open seating area with large windows, tables that feel a little more secluded and dark, bar space, communal space and high tops for just casual dining. Depending on your mood, you can sit accordingly-great versatility. The drink menu is huge. Literally something for everyone, which isn’t always the case at a lot of places. The beer menu seems to be at least a hundred. A lot of local and lot of ones you don’t come across too often. The servers are very helpful in figuring out a beer that matches your taste if you are unsure of ones you haven’t tried before. The menu is creative with a lot of different options for everyone. I, nor have people I am with, ever been disappointed with their food. It is inventive, tastes fresh and filling. The popular item seems to be the build your own mac and cheese, I have never had it, but know people venture to Gravity just to indulge! Check this place out, it is sure to please anyone!

Tator tots get 5 stars! They are simply amazing. Order them. But other than that, the food was OK. Sitting outside was a nice option. However, I wasn’t super impressed by the beer selection. While it’s expansive, it’s mainly focused on west Michigan beers. That’s great if I’m a tourist, but as a west Michigan local, I was looking for something new. NOTE: Check out the price of your beer before you order it. My snifter beer was $ 10(I ordered the same beer at the local brewery a month before and didn’t pay that much)! The service was subpar. We rarely saw our waitress. Prior to getting our food, I watched the table next to us get up to grab their own silverware… and we had to ask for it, too.

So, after a few more visits, I like this place a bit more. The service has improved dramatically from before. This was the first thing my wife commented on when we last went and I was pleasantly surprised to see that. The food remains good, but be aware that the White Truffle Tater Tots are overrated. If you are a cook or are a foodie(and I am both), you may find them a bit greasy. But if you’re a fan of McDonald’s fries, you will love them. Otherwise, the food is not at all bad and the prices are fair. I like most of the entrees, and I finally tried the Steak Frites. For $ 19, you get a decent steak with a really tasty mushroom sauce, but the fries were too salty for me to eat. Next time, I’ll see if I can get them sans salt. The sloppy sliders were pretty tasty, but the«pimento cheese» smacked more of Cheese Whiz than something freshly made. The desserts are kind of «meh». Most recently, I got the Lemon-Blueberry Bread Pudding. Although it was a big portion and looked great, it was rather bland. I didn’t care to finish it, if that tells you anything. I guess that isn’t the end of the world, though. I wouldn’t expect most patrons to go to a gastropub-type place for the desserts. I do love the beer flights. It’s a great idea to have smaller portions of multiple beers to try, but they are not cheap. As other reviewers have noted, you can typically buy an entire pack of a beer for about 2⁄3 the cost of a single draft of it here. I recommend going for happy hour. They have some great deals during happy hour and the $ 8 Michigan Flight N’ Bite is one of them. Overall, a good place to go for drinks and food — if you can get a seat!

The drinks menu was on a tablet. There was no food, just drinks. The food menu comes on a separate clip board which I had to ask. The tablet lacked the ability to sort by brewer or by traditional styles such as ales, lagers, and stouts. The tablet sorted by styles such as fruit and spice, gluten free and barrel aged. Interesting but should have the additional ways of sorting. Their way of sorting aligns to their menu parings which is helpful for some but I could have cared less. I ordered Perrin’s Gold which was listed under clean and crisp right along with Miller Lite and strangely enough ABInBev Bud Light. The service was good(as was the beer) as the beer was delivered in a matter of a couple of minutes. The reorder was just as fast thanks to Sarah. Ordered three deviled eggs– fiery sriracha for $ 4. The appetizer came out in about 4 minutes. The eggs were small but very tasty. They had the right amount of heat, cool to the touch and generally a tasty appetizer. Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was delivered timely and hot. Nice crust(not your wafer type thin crust) and a flavorful sauce. At 11″ it was a good individual pizza, then again, I can eat pizza by the acres if it good. Fun fact, Americans consume about 100 acres of pizza a day! Check it out. Overall a decent place to visit with a wide selection of beers, about 24 feet of taps, as one would expect from a taphouse. The background music was a good mix of classic oldies rock and some more contemporary artists. The wireless was 15mps up and 2 mps down which is pretty good for a public wi-fi. Nice for sitting and cruising the internet or using cloud based applications. I would give this a solid 4 stars since things went as expected but lacking an interesting menu cost it a fifth star. I will review again and order something more challenging.

A little mixed on this one. I did go at lunch time on a weekend with my wife and two kids. Understandably not their prime target time or audience. 1.) The ambience was interesting. Very dark and modern. A little bit too dark and stark/modern. The ambience seems more geared towards a chic upscale restaurant than a bar/grill. It was clean and fine, just a little odd and very dark. 2.) The service was very friendly and prompt. 3.) The food was good, but not great for the price. The white truffle tater tots were good, but not worth the price or the hype and very greasy. They were more like hush puppies and there were only about 5 – 6 of them for $ 8 and came with ranch.. I got a pizza and my wife got the boss mac n cheese. Everything was good, but very heavy and cholesterol laden. The cream butter and oil were pervasive in everything. It was all very good, but if you are looking to eat lightly or on a low cholesterol diet, be careful.

Stellar: Atmosphere — they make a large place feel small and intimate. The black paint has a masculine, metro, downtown feel that I like. Love all the different lighting features! Design & Layout — winding dining floor with smaller rooms for private parties, and a secluded outside patio(Sadly it way too snowy to check it out) The Tatar Tots– AMAZING! You will compare all other tots to theirs! The Fungi Pizza– detectable! Service — everyone is super friendly Needs Improvement: The Sweet Potato S’mores appetizer Food times Food: To start we ordered a smattering of different appetizers: Tater tots, the Kryptinite, calamari, and the sweet potato s’mores appetizer. If there is only one thing you take away from this review, it’s that the Tots are TODIEFOR! Made with White Truffle Oil, they are massive chucks of hash browns, in a crispy, southern style breading. Found under the«finger food» menu, they should be under the«whole hand menu» because they are huge. These babies blow all those other little rabbit turd tater tots out of the water. The calamari was standard calamari– good but not what the tots are. The Kryptinite(pictured) is essentially caramel corn mixed with sweetened corn pops and peanuts. Good, but again, the tots took center stage. We had several people at my table and we all ordered different items. Speaking for myself( Unilocaling for myself??) my Fungi pizza was amazing. It had white sauce, various wild mushrooms, Parmesan and the big winner of the night, white truffle oil. I didn’t eat it all and it tasted just as good at home, heated up. I’m dreaming of it right now. Pass On: The sweet potato s’mores appetizer. I’m a huge fan of sweet potato and anything coupled with marshmallow should, in theory, be a treat. This did not meet that expectation. I’m thinking they just opened a can of sweet potato filling and then stuck it in the oven to bake. There was a few jumbo marshmallows and mini chocolate chips on top but not enough to make it look pretty and not enough to make it taste like anything more then a glob in your mouth. The really odd part came when it was served with pork rinds. Yes, you read that correctly: pork rinds. The kind that taste and have the texture of Funyuns. Maybe it was trying to be southern??? We all tried it just to say we tried it, but that was as far as anyone would go with this dish. Don’t get lured into the«innovative/weird» factor of this appetizer like I did; get the tots and you’ll be fine. As the other reviewers state, the wait time for food is long. They have a vast beer menu and since our server was friendly and speedy, we had beers to keep us happy between items. I’m hoping they get the cook times down the longer they are open. To sum it all up: GETTHETOTS!
