This store has excellent stock of goods. But I tried to return 2 bags of ‘quality raw peanuts’ the day after I purchased them and met with strong opposition. I opened 1 bag of supposed high quality raw peanuts, tasted them, and discovered they were ‘slightly’ rancid. I toasted them to freshen them, but this did not change the taste of rancidness. Brought the 2 packs of nuts back. The first person I encountered tasted nuts from the opened bag and said that there was nothing wrong with them. He also said I can’t return them since they were opened! I strongly disagreed and requested a manager. Two magagerial people came forth and also had to taste the peanuts, and said there was nothing wrong with them. I strongly repeated that they’re rancid, they’re bad, they’re off. and finally got my money back. I have a bad taste now for this store. The packaged item was bad, I should not have been questioned and taste-tested by 3 employees. I am a frequent customer. I’ve never returned anything before. They need to learn about customer relations… or maybe since there’s little competition, they don’t care.

After I live 5 months in LA and send some time in Little Saigon supermarket, then this is the best Vietnamese supermarket in Grand Rapids area. This store now changes to Kim Nhung supermarket two years ago. They are big and stock most what you need for Vietnamese grocery shopping, and the price is good compare to other Asian grocery in Grand Rapids area.

I’m not sure why this location is said to be CLOSED, but it’s definitely NOT. I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI and I visit this store pretty regularly with my parents. I still til this day, still go to this store. The selection is wonderful(best yet) for most of the Asian Supermarkets I’ve been to and the prices are good as well. Now that I reside in a suburb of Chicago, it’s hard to find a good Asian Supermarket that will have what I need(compared to this store). I was bought out by some new owners several years back and the quality and cleanliness of the store improved a LOT. The store has a nice location as it is the main spot for everyone to go. You’ll find little eateries, jewelry shops, restaurants, cell phone store, and even a salon all right in the same plaza. Talk about convenience! I highly recommend people to go here to experience the livelihood of this Asian strip. Thought the location of it is pretty«ghetto». it still serves a lot of purpose to the Asian community in Grand Rapids.
