Applebee’s

Our first experience here was BAD, second was okay. and this time was great! I had the quesadilla burger it was crazy good! Glad we gave it a 3^rd try! Waitress was sweet and attentive and food was hot and fast!

We have frequented several Applebee’s restaurants in the state and appreciated quality eating experiences. Although we live less than a mile away and eat out two to four times a week, we rarely eat at the Grants Pass Applebee’s and had not eaten there in months until this past Tuesday when we had a mid afternoon lunch. Why? Because we have experienced very poor to nearly non existent service. For us, the quality of the service is as important as the quality of the food, cleanliness and the atmosphere. Tuesday’s meal was a delight. The service was great. We started with French onion soup which was tasty and hot, followed by a quality dinner salad and a small sirloin steak with cooked veggies. Everything (service, quality of food, cleanliness and atmosphere) met the standards we expect of a good restaurant. We will be back in the hope that this is representative of improved management.

Don’t waste you time
The service is terrible and the management could care less. The food is average for a chain, nothing special.

I shoulda checked and heeded the advice of the good people on Unilocal.I walked in from a local hotel and sat at the bar, with three other people, not busy, and waited 10 – 15 minutes before I got an insincere «hello». Soon after that I put in an order for a beer and it was delivered along with a menu. The bartender disappeared for lengthy periods and a few of the other bar flys were making comments on how service seemed slow.
I can understand that if you are swamped, like Joes Sports Bar was earlier during the Packer game, that service can slow down a bit. But this place is dead and it seems like the bartender doesn’t even care. Customer service is out the window as far as I can tell. It’s almost feels like my presence pisses them off as I am just one more job for them to do. Really off putting and I won’t be back.
Other bars with great food nearby are JD’s and Joes. 100% better service, with a smile, and fantastic food and drink.
Sorry Applebee’s, the bartender is the face of the brand when you are in front out of town and this one is pretty sad.

I came in today I ordered the Three cheese chicken penne. The plate was hot but the chicken and sauce was cold. I sent it back for the employee to have it heated up. Then when I was almost done there was a black hair in my food. It was not mine because I have blonde hair. I was very disappointed in the food

I simply adore the pub pretzels with cheese. so decadent. I must say, that Applebees seems to be working on the quality of food served. I also ate the Thai shrimp salad, it was delicious. The service was good, we were there mid day, so it wasn’t busy. We’ll be back.

Tonight I ate there. Took 45 minutes to get my blt and soup. Then there was a hair melted with my cheese. gross… I won’t be back

The mushroom swiss burger was delicious. Sweet spicy asian wings were amazing and the patrón margaritas were great as well. However, i stood at the front waiting to be seated for several minutes while the hostess was flirting across the restaurant with some guy. Even the manager saw me standing there nit being helped and did nothing. My waitress was great though. Four stars for the food and two stars for the staff.

Great service from Melinda! Fast, friendly server– didn’t miss a beat in conversation and my drink was never empty. I’m travelling through Oregon on a business trip, and even though they’re a chain, it was the best restaurant experience of my trip so far.

My boyfriend and I eat here all the time and we are always satisfied. My favorite is the three cheese chicken penne and the honey bbq boneless wings. You can’t go wrong with this combo because it’s on the 2 for $ 20 menu and it’s delicious every time! I love the Carside To Go option when we don’t want to go out so we can just call in our order then park outside the restaurant.

Seriously, every single time my husband and I eat here, we are highly impressed! We try to get something different when we do eat here and we’re never disappointed by the choices! The wanton taco apprentices are to die for and the chef knows how to cook your meal to perfection. Melinda is an amazing waitress!!! So helpful, full of smiles, and she’s so truthful. Thank you Applebee’s for being amazing and employing such wonderful people!!!

We asked for a booth because we have a 3 year old. Even though there were MANY empty booths, we were told no, we had to have a table because the server where the booths were was overwhelmed. It took over 45 minutes to get 2 salads and Mac and cheese delivered to our table. I can prepare, eat and clean up those items at home in less time. Once we got our salad, the didn’t get the memo about «dressing on the side» so we had to send it back and it took another half hour to bring a new one. This only gets one star because there is not a zero star option.

I’ve never been ignored in a restaurant like this! Told the hostess to sit me wherever will be fastest since I had a 4 hour drive home and it was already 2pm. She put me in the bar at a round table and said Tom would be right with me (the bar keep). There was one other family at the other end that he did not help for about 10 minutes… not acknowledging my presents yet. Hostess saw me look over at him and she did not do anything. Another 5 minutes go by and two young men come in and sit 2 tables away from me… not 15 seconds go by when he goes to THEM and asks what they wanted to drink! I gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he was just stopping on his way to me… well…he walked the opposite way back into the kitchen to leave me completely hanging. I’ve never walked out of a restaurant before for bad service but I did here (for NO service).
I’m writing this as I wait for my food at MaMosa’s of which I was served immediately and awesome foods on its way.

Typical apples bees. Steak was grey, mash potatoes were served cold and Mac and cheese was cold as well. But it’s nothing new about apples bees. It was either this or Taco Bell.

My favorite at Applebee’s was the green bean appetizer with spicy dipping sauce
Now the spice is gone and the sauce is just mayo. Went from awesome to crappy
Would never order them again
Used to always get a specialty drink loved the little picture menu now gone

We ate her twice while on vacation. The food and service was great. Loved the local décor! The boneless wings were a delicious appetizer. Wish we had an Applebees near us! :)
