This place is second to none in Grants Pass. You have to get some of there goodies and if you are having lunch the«Stud Muffin» sandwich on a bagel is ridiculously good. Great prices as well. Thanks for the meals!

Another on-the-road Unilocal success story here. I knew last night I’d be passing through GP today to take some photos of property for work nearby. I also knew I had been craving a high quality sandwich for some time. So, rolling the dice, I Unilocaled sandwiches in GP, and got Babes’. It went on my mental itinerary, and I’m so glad it did. Friendly service, comfortable dining area(and some outdoor seating to take advantage of this unusually nice February day) and a sandwich that absolutely satiated that craving. I had the Porker — the meat was all of great quality, and of a quantity to stand up to the bread, which was thick and toasted, but still perfectly soft and chewy on the inside. The biggest surprise was the ‘side salad’(their House salad) I got as part of the sandwich combo. It was gigantic, and bursting with strawberries and apples, and an abundance of bleu cheese. As I dug into the goods, some customers nearby were casually chatting about potentially pursuing Dutch Bros franchising, and I thought to myself, #thisisgrantspasslife. I don’t usually think in hashtags, but it seemed appropriate at the time. Happy to have a pit-stop in GP in mind for any future road trip in that direction!

Incredible sandwiches baked goods! If you make it to or through GP do not miss this amazing place. The staff is fast and friendly and the food is fresh and incredible. I had The Chosen One and it may well have been the best sandwich I’ve ever had, and I know my sandwiches. I might sample the breakfast tomorrow.

Let me start off by saying that I love breakfast, coffee and sandwiches. This place had all of those things and they perfected all of them. Unfortunately I didn’t officially get to try their lunch and regular sandwiches, I did try their breakfast sandwich. It was delicious, fresh, with lots of flavor, nice combination and you could tell a lot of though went into creating that masterpiece. Their coffee is great as well. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like the Dutch Bros as much as the next guy, but it tends to be a tad too sweet for me… This place made it just right, that came out perfect, with no complaints! It was full bodied, strong, semi sweet and very flavorful. I’m definitely impressed and would go to this place back anytime! The staff was very patient, friendly and nice as well. Whether you’re looking for just coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, some sweets(with their large cupcake selection), this place seems to have everything worked out just right, down to the science. Come give them a whirl, if you haven’t been!

As we were heading out of town we stopped in for a bite to eat. As we looked over the delightful menu we decided on the Jo Fly sandwich. BEST Sandwich either one of us have ever had in our lives, hands down, without a doubt! First of all, the bread was unbelievable! Perfect combination of softness and crispness in texture. Warm filling of roast beef, salami, tomatoes and peppercinis along with just the right amount of mayo! Fabulous! Our new favorite sandwich spot in Grants Pass!!! Thank you Babe’s!

My girlfriend applied for a job here. After both a formal interview and a working interview(at 2:45 am), she was told she would hear by the end of the week if she had gotten the job or not. She never heard from them again. It was incredibly rude and certainly no way to treat people or run a business. It’s really no surprise to see that most of Babe’s bad reviews are aimed at their staff.

On a road trip from Seattle to central California, my husband and I stopped for lunch at Babe’s because it was close to the highway and rated well on Unilocal. I ordered the Greek Goddess sandwich and my husband had the Hot Babe. OMG… The bread. The warm, golden, perfectly toasted, delicious crusty bread. OMG… Yeah, I’ll say it again… The bread. The warm, golden, perfectly toasted, delicious crusty bread. Mmmmmmmm! If that didn’t sell you, then you can go to Jack in the Box but I would call you crazy to miss a chance at eating at Babe’s.

Delicious and HUGE sandwiches. This was my favorite lunch spot when I still lived in GP. I miss it now that I’ve moved away.

Just had someone get me a cheesecake from here for my birthday. Presentation was sub par — I could have written happy birthday on it better. Cheesecake was not as good as everyone claims it to be. Also they had said that they waited 20 mins just to pay for the cheesecake– really? Seems a little ridiculous. Don’t know if I will try anything else from here.

UNSANITARYFOODHANDLINGPRACTICE Buyer Beware! Drove in to get a bear claw, the gal grabbed it with her bare hands AFTER just handling money to the customer ahead of me. GROSS! I said, «seriously, you use your bare hand?» She nodded her head yes, then you could see a light bulb go off in her head, she put my order on the counter, reached over to grab a bakery paper and was obviously going to grab another one for me in the PROPER manner, but I couldn’t help but wonder what she was going to do with the one she used her bare hand on, no doubt put it back in the case. I was SOGROSSED out! What do these people do when people aren’t watching? Ew! So if you enjoy getting the flu and colds by all means Babe’s should be your top destination!

Late review as we visited Babe’s while staying in Grants Pass in June. Soup and sandwiches made from quality ingredients by someone who knows what they are doing. Quantity of food was more than enough and a good value. Staff very friendly even though was at the end of a busy day. Speaking of busy, they sometimes run out of items towards the end of the day. Very accommodating with order. Hope to see you again when we pass through next year.

First the good: A wonderful spot that is quite exuberant and delightful. With homemade practically everything how could you go wrong? Awe inspiring sandwiches built to withstand lunch AND dinner, fancy cupcakes and delicacies to fill your sugar starved belly. If you get there early, it’s a lovely to place to rest and refresh before you head back to a busy day at work. Sometimes crowded during the later times but that just means the food is delectable. You can also pickup dinner through the drive through. :) Healthy and delicious salads and soups. The bad: Occasionally I will have to correct the amount they charge on some items by having the cashier look at the menu, which is unorthodox. I believe they take a bit more than they can chew sometimes, but they’re hard workers. Keep up the good work guys and gals!

This place has good food. I have had there cinnamon rolls very good, but sad when they raised the price. The cookies and cupcakes are great. But there sandwiches are what hits the spot for me. I usually order a turkey with pesto, cream cheese, spouts sandwich and haven’t been disappointed. The bread they use is amazing

Fresh baked bread almost always make for delicious sandwiches, and that is definitely true in this case. I wish I wasn’t passing through and could come back more often.

Excellent lunch place. Every time I come in the employees are really nice and friendly. I have tried a few of there soups and sandwiches and all have been amazing. A full size sandwich cost 10 $ and it will defiantly get you full. Fresh baked bread can’t. Can’t go wrong coming here.

Updated review, but just for dessert-a-palooza. I had a fatty day yesterday, and got a cupcake! Kids had red velvet. I had carrot cake. ~carrot cake was pretty great, but nothing spectacular. ~The bite I stole from my 9 year old of the red velvet was amazing. You made him not notice that the frosting was cream cheese. I can’t even do that, and I rock at cream cheese frosting! Would be 5 stars if the cupcakes weren’t like $ 3. Not being cheap, but they are far from gourmet. There is a little place in London that sells gourmet cupcakes for £2, and they are huge and incredible. I know my cupcakes. These were great, just not $ 3 great. Coming from a natural fatty mcfatterson, I dub thee«best cupcakes in grants pass ever.»

My husband and I live in California, but wanted to have our son’s birthday party in Oregon at his grandparents’ home. I didn’t want a run of the mill birthday cake from Safeway so I found this bakery online. When I called they assured me they could make a Spider-man cake with my son’s name on it. It was supposed to be vanilla with a chocolate fudge filling and buttercream frosting. When we picked it up, I was disappointed. It looked like something I could have done at home. Then when we cut into it, the cake was dense, the filling had been soaked up by the cake, and the frosting was so thick that there was more of it than actual cake. No one liked the cake and we would have been better of going to Safeway. My son was so disappointed. This bakery should stay away from making cakes!

Great for breakfast & lunch! Friendly service, delicious healthy food, pleasant atmosphere. You can take out, eat on the patio, in the private room or in the main room with the counter. Good selection of hearty sandwiches(with their homemade bread of course), entrée salads, homemade soup, quality soft drinks, smoothies, juice and tempting desserts. You can also order the sandwiches and salads in full or half size servings – nice touch. Many thoughtful personal details. Not sure why anyone would go to the plastic-menu commissary-served option the street! We will definitely remember this as a destination ‘fueling’ stop when we travel up and down I-5!
