I won’t ever eat there again. If they tell you that the halibut is fresh Alaskan, ask to see the fish first, before ordering it. The mixed veggies have a mildew aftertaste. My waitress didn’t even know what drawn butter is. She ended up bringing me some kind of tasteless oil. I could go on and on about the disappointments I had in this place, but I will spare you. Just don’t ask for the manager if you don’t like something, he has better things to do than listening to a disappointed customer. His answer to everything is «I’ve never heard that before!» Oh, and don’t ask him to show you a piece of fresh Alaskan halibut, because he is too BUSY!

The food was great. I had the chicken piccata and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My husband had the vegetable curry with chicken– also really good.

Great food — terrible service. Called ahead for party of 11 at lunch. Was immediately recited«the rules». No separate checks. We had to divide the total up so they got no more than four payments for our entire group. When we got there, the area was so small the chairs were tipped onto each other and we had to beg, yes beg, to include another table so we could actually sit. The restaurant wasn’t even half full the entire time we were there. When the bill came it was all on one tag so we had to spend part of our lunch hour dividing it into groups. Then the server totally misrepresented the tip amount that was included in the bill which ended up with her getting more tip than we thought. We absolutely won’t be back. It’s too bad, because the food was great; we just didn’t feel at all welcome.

Customer service is lacking. Again… seems like every time I give this place another shot, I end up with the same results. Not busy so I don’t understand the lack of customer service.

Pretty much an all around good eatery… Great bar and the house made desserts are something to write home about. My daughter had the hummingbird cake and it was outstanding… The yummy bowl is big enough for two and makes a great midnight snack. lots of easy free parking is a plus for this downtown spot… Only wish the evening summer hours to be a bit longer…

First time at Blondies and had an excellent meal and service. Our server Jacob was very friendly and helpful along with all the other staff. The food was really fresh and you have to try the Cilantro Citrus salad dressing. Unbelievably good !!! Will visit here again next time we are in town.

Last minute walk-in, 4 of us for Valentine’s dinner. All i can say is it was awesome. This was our 2nd visit. The last visit was just as good. Your employees were cheerful even though they were busy all night. We’ll be back!

Had lunch just before Christmas with a friend. The food was great, as usual, but the service was horrible. We were second to arrive in the dining room. It was still a bit cold, but manageable without coats. The server brought us water and menus before we were even seated. I told her about a large grease spot on the chair next to me. Oh my, she said, but hadn’t done anything about it an hour later when we left. We placed our order for grilled cheese and a cup of soup. We were both having the same meal. My friend asked what warm beverages were available and then settled on hot tea. Our meal arrived about 20 minutes later and the hot tea followed. :(Waitress never showed up again until she swooped in to leave the bill and to take my friend’s plate while she was still finishing the last few bites of her sandwich. My friend stood at the counter for 5 minutes to pay the bill and nobody would take her money. She came back to the table and I was finally able to get our waitress’ attention. She brought back the slip to sign, and we were SHOCKED to see our two grilled cheese, 2 cups of soup and hot tea were over $ 60 dollars! WHAT? So we tried to get our waitress’ attention again and even called out her name as she walked by… but alas we were ignored. My friend got up and went and waited between the dining room and bar and was finally able to get someone’s attention. It appears as though our waitress tacked somebody else’s lunch onto our bill, but it was still over $ 33 for 2 grilled cheese, 2 cups of soup and a hot tea. Very disappointed and the waitress really seemed like she could have cared less about being at work today. Sigh

We used to absolutely love this place and still do. But be warned if you wish to partake of happy hour specials you will need to sit in bar area in the back, we didn’t want to sit back there and they wouldn’t give us the happy hour specials. The coconut cake is amazing though.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. Our friend got hit in the head with a heavy mop. The staff belatedly responded only after we approached them asking for ice and an accident form. The food was mediocre as well. Sadly, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great food! Had the polenta appetizer, pasta primavera(with added mushrooms), husband had double cheeseburger with bacon. The meat in that burger was really good, it was grass fed beef and there is a difference! The pasta primavera was also good. Great service and friendly, efficient staff!

My wife and I where touring Oregon from Calif. and spent the night in Grants Pass and needed a place to have dinner. We went with the recommendation from the hotel and it turned out to be our best meal on the trip. The strip steak was tender and pepper sauce were delious. Coconut cake was very good also.

Fresh food and well seasoned. It’s kind of dark for lunch but has a great menu. Wish I had room for dessert, they looked amazing!

Ok. On a VERYLONGROADTRIP I searched Unilocal for dinner ideas. I love you guys! When you have no clue turn to Unilocal. When in Grant ‘s Pass, Oregon you absolutely have to eat here. I’m vegan. Hubby is carnivore. You can have it all here. The absolute best food we can remember. The manager’s name is Chase. He’s crazy fun in all the best ways. I’m stuffed. Food coma ensues. But in a healthy happy way…

The service was perfect and the food was incredible! We met with 3 other couples for a special celebration. My husband had the steak with peppercorn sauce. The portion was huge and I stole a taste of it and wished I had gotten that. Except my macadamia crusted halibut was SO good.- well there’s only so much a person can eat and my husband was glad I didn’t steal any more bites of his! Others have said in older reviews that the service was terrible and the food awful. I can only speak to my own experiences with Blondies, which have been several lunches — great food — and our celebration dinner with friends. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but it is worth it. The quality and presentation were excellent. I’m a «foodie» and am selective about my praise of meals, but in this case, I’m so impressed with Blondies that I can’t say enough!(even though it looks like I’ve written a novelette already)! Oh, I can’t forget to mention the desserts. I love coconut and their coconut cake is fabulous! I can’t speak for what the others had. There’s just so much room in a person’s tummy and even I have my limits!

Delicious Cobb salad! Best drink and most unique in the city is the raspberry lemon drop!

Food is ok. Service, typical of Grants Pass, is terrible. Went there for my daughters birthday lunch and told them we had 6 people and that threw them for a loop even though the restaurant was basically empty. We were told we would have to wait to order because there were 4 people ahead of us. We left and went to Gtanos and had a wonderful time. Don’t go to Blondies.

Okay, LOVEEE this place. The prices are a little steep, but honestly — they have great food and drinks so it’s okay to spoil yourself every now and then ;) Their Habenero Passionfruit Martini is my absolute FAVORITE! I literally crave them every now and then because they’re that good. Lol I’ve had a couple of their dishes, such as the lamb which was nummy! And their jalepeno poppers with raspberry sauce. YUM! The service is always super friendly, but always super packed. Definitely a place to go to with some girlfriends.

HI went to Blondie’s last night for the first time in a long time, as I have been limited in terms of restaurants I can eat at since becoming a pescadarian. We arrived near the end of dinner rush, and asked to be seated by the bar so as not to take up a larger table for just my girlfriend and myself. We were seated and brought water and bread, which was all well and good until our server did not return for 20 minutes, whereupon he asked for our drink order. We declined, stating that water was sufficient, and he disappeared for another 15 minutes before returning to take our food order. I ordered the seared ahi appetizer and my girlfriend ordered tho coconut shrimp appetizer. Our server then asked if we would like more bread, which we said yes to, and then pressed us again to order drinks, which we again declined. Over the course of the next 20 minutes we were asked 4 more times by different employees(none of which was our server) if we would like anything else to drink, and we declined as we had before. When our food finally arrived we were asked again if we would like more bread, to which we again said yes. My girlfriend said her shrimp were fine, but my ahi was uniform in temperature, almost like it sat under a heat lamp while waiting for the order to be ready. I attempted to alert our server(or any of the 3 other employees who had«served» us thus far,) but they all seemed to disappear once we had our food. We finished our appetizers and were about to order our entrees when our server arrived with our check and told us to have a good night before scurrying away. I said to my girlfriend«Well I guess that’s all we’re getting here,» and opened the bill to find that we had been charged for each«refill» on bread that we had been offered with no mention of the extra cost. Not wanting to create a problem I paid without complaint and we left. Still hungry but now running late to meet friends we headed off without stopping elsewhere for food, and about an hour later I became violently ill and remained that way(vomiting what I can only assume was bad fish,) for the rest of the night, and was almost forced to call into work today as a result. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, no pressure meal with no hidden charges. Also on their menu it states that ALL split checks will be charged an automatic 18% gratuity, so «going Dutch» is apparently discouraged here, in addition to the fact that this practice has been illegal in the state of Oregon since January. In closing i would like to state that If I could rate this restaurant«No Stars» I probably would.
