Best Mexican food in GP! Get lupitas style carne asada tacos and shrimp tacos! You will be amazed! The fish tacos are also the best I’ve ever had.

I love a good crispy chicken taco and Lupita’s does the best I’ve found in the Grants Pass area. Its walk up, order, and wait and so well worth it! They have added a covered patio that is heated in cold weather. Great red salsa as well!

The food is fantastic. Chicken tacos? YUM! The employees seem like family and they are very quick and friendly. The only downside is that there is no indoor seating, but only outdoor, but it’s not bad since they have a heater out there. The décor outside needs to be updated very badly, and is actually deteriorating before your eyes, BUT the food is worth it and we usually order take out anyway. Great food at reasonable prices.

We are always on the hunt for good Mexican food when driving through Grants Pass. We discovered Lupita’s nearly on accident, while driving by. We circled the block, came back, and we’re very pleased about that decision! My husband ordered two fish tacos, which are served Baja syle– fried fish topped with cabbage, a delicious homemade white sauce, and pico de gallo. The sauce worked very nicely with the taco. I ordered a «veggie style» bean rice and cheese burrito, as there wasn’t a declared«veggie burrito» on the menu. Veggie style means they’ll add lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and salsa. The burrito was nicely flavorful and filling. We also shared an horchata, which was delicious! Now that we know Lupita’s location, we will definitely be back when we’re in the area!

Lupita’s Taqueria caught my eye as I drove through Grants Pass at lunch time on a Friday. The line of customers, neither harried nor grim-faced, extended far down the block. I noted the location and returned the next day. With a taquería, street vendor or boxy, Mexican fast-food restaurant, I grade on a curve. Value matters because we’re not breaking out silverware and linen napkins. Quality matters as there’s too much competition to justify suffering through a dry, chewy machaca burrito. Location, well… location doesn’t matter. You serve delicious food for a great price and I’ll follow you anywhere. We ordered four tacos: carnitas, lengua, pescado(Baja style) and one Lupita’s Style taco, served in a soft corn tortilla with melted cheese and topped with a crispy tortilla. It comes with choice of meat(we chose carne asada), topped with beans, cilantro, onions, salsa, and guacamole. A hand drawn sign caught my eye as I ordered a large iced tea to share. «Do you really make your own lemonade?» She nodded, so I changed our order. The lemonade is honey-sweet and complemented our taco sampler. We took turns taking bites and swapping plates. The tacos cost less than $ 2 each, except for Lupita’s Style taco($ 2.50). All four tacos scored well, especially with the house salsa. The pescado was a pleasant treat balanced with pico de gallo and homemade white sauce. Lupita’s Style taco stood out as the most filling, easily justifying its higher price. Two of those tacos would make a filling lunch. The most difficult decision was getting up from the table and not ordering more. Although, I can’t imagine I’d have the strength of will to drive past Lupita’s Taqueria again, knowing there’s so many more delicious menu items to try.

As a burrito connoisseur I can say without any hesitation that these are the best burritos in Grants Pass, possibly the world. If you aren’t eating these regularly you’re basically missing out.

what WAS this place, an old Fosters Freeze? It doesn’t really matter, what it is NOW is home to the best Tamales in town. Grants Pass is not lacking for Mexican options, and while this is definitely not a sit down place(and you’ll want to keep an eye on junior so he won’t step off the curb while you order) it is worth the line, the cars driving by and yes, the strange new outdoor seating recently added does help a little. Fast, cheap, authentic, awesome food.

Yummy! Just had a Carne Asada taco and a Lupitas style carnitas taco. Both fabulous. Very authentic, fresh, and quick. I was shorted a taco in my order but despite that I will be back. Best authentic mexican food in town hands down.

Good burrito for a fair price. Carnitas could have used slightly more flavor, but I’m not complaining. Would come again.

Pleasantly surprised by the $ 2 fish and shrimp tacos. They were quite good, although lacking on fish and shrimp. I was concerned this place didn’t have a bathroom, but it won’t stop me from coming back for more. One of the best places in Grants Pass for Mexican food. Easily.

Best Mexican food by far in Grants Pass. I’ve had a hard time finding good al pastor since moving here over 20 years ago from California. They have it! Wish they had a full service restaurant.

Great authentic Mexican food. Make it a point to stop here from San Diego! We like the hard shell tacos. All 3 kinds are good. A father and young son run it. Worth the short drive off the 5

Moved here a month ago and have eaten there twice a week. Delicious! Fast, friendly service. Love the«dining room» addition so there is a place to eat. Tacos, quesadillas, burritos are super good.
