I went in for brunch today. Ordered the chicken and waffle. The waiter recommended we add bacon and jalapeño. Best idea EVER! Plus he had recommended the blueberry lemon ginger mamosa which of course we got a pitcher. Everything was wonderful. It is a popular spot so there may be a wait but most certainly worth it. Chayse was our server and was absolutely wonderful. Even if everything wasn’t amazing I would go back simply for the service! Completely attentive and with a truly compassionate feel. Thank you mamosas!

Incredible food. Funky and small but very very good food. I’m a creature of habit and I always get the«hash it over»…so good. It is fresh pot roast type of beef over potatoes, with two poached eggs and a fantastic and light sauce on the bottom. Always just right, never drenched in sauce. Great food.

I’m visiting GP for work and I’m hooked on this place, I’ve eaten breakfast here every day this week! I’ve not had latkes since moving from NYC, and these are just as good as home. Their biscuits, forget about it, best I ever had. The wait IS definitely worth it!!!

6 tables(18 people can sit at these) plus 8 bar stools, this place is TINY and really loud. That being said, the size and noise(plus décor) create an intimate yet fun environment. Do not be in a hurry here. The food takes a minute, so order a pitcher of mimosas and relax! Service is friendly and fun, with a hint of silly(cheering every time a bottle of champagne is opened). You can also help yourself to a free cup of coffee towards the kitchen while you wait. The menu is amazingly difficult to choose from because everything sounds good and there are always specials which add to the difficulty. Had the Hash, cheese grits, and mini burrito. Everything was amazing. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Visited during the Thanksgiving weekend. Just a fast stop on our way to Medford. Fast stop? Not so fast stop. It was super packed and there was a waiting list. Anyway, I was told this is the place to go if your wanting organic/GMO free food. Very eclectic. Kind of reminded me of a few cafes in Portland. This place was super small and seating was tight. Service was nice enough, but was unsure about how long the wait would be. She told us something may pop up in 10 min. Waited for about 20 min. We were able to get a small table on the wall. Did I say it was super tight seating? Yeah, my chair was so close to the other people seated behind me, I was afraid to move because I knew I’d bump into them. Way too tight. I ordered a half order of biscuits and mushroom gravy with potato latkas on the side. My hubby ordered the veggie burger with potato ball latkas. Waited another 15 min for food to arrive. About average. Food was hot and fresh. Tasted really good. The only thing that was annoying besides the tight seating… the FLIES!!! Wow… you needed a fly swatter to enjoy your meal. Flies in your hair, on your face, in your eye. Anyway, maybe I’ll be back after a winter storm rolls through and kills the flies.

Food was fine but the wait was just way too long. Super slow service. We were the second group seated after opening but took an hour to get our food. Side note, they had a real bad fly problem when we were there. They will probably get it fixed soon

UPDATE Sun 10÷4÷2015: We continue to enjoy Ma Mosa’s when in Grants Pass — but they have a worsening problem with pesky flies in the dining room. If they haven’t sorted this out by our next visit we might need to knock a star off our review and take this off our go-to places in Grants Pass. Original review: They’ve please us twice, we’ll go again when in Grants Pass. This is no hidden gem, it’s crowded and can be noisy. Even so the service is prompt, friendly and attentive and the food is fresh with healthy options. Yum!

Hot steak salad was incredible. Pretty sure everyone I was with loved their meal. First time here because it’s usually packed, but I’ll definitely be back. Not sure why I saw a couple bad reviews here… Never heard a bad thing about this place. Some people are just… Yeah. Eat at Ma Mosa’s it’s delicious!

This has to be one of the best breakfast places on the West Coast! I actually live in Southern California but look forward to breakfast every time I come to Grants Pass, Oregon.

Took an hour and a half to get our food. No joke, an hour and a half. Went here based off of the seemingly great reviews that this place had. Ordered a BLT, two eggs and potatoes with a biscuit, and a mini breakfast burrito. While waiting for our own food, three separate parties asked how much longer they would have to wait for their food as well. One couple even left to go grab an ipad to keep them entertained while they waited for. Once we finally got our food there was no apology about the wait, and the food was average to say the least. Ate our food in fifteen minutes and left. One good remark about this place would be that they had great GF and vegetarian options, but definitely will not be returning.

Bold statement: the best breakfast north of Cali and south of Salem is in… Grants Pass? Yup, you heard me right. I used to go on frequent work trips down to Medford and I’d always make it a point to go here on the drive-in/out. Everything is fresh, unique, and delicious. If this place were in Portland it would be noteworthy, and make top-10 lists… but it’s in humble Grants Pass! My only critique is that the wait times are very long and the service is sometimes very disorganized and inconsistent. Food makes it worth it though, so I’m still awarding a 5-star.

T This delightful at this restaurant. Quality food, lovely setting, great attentive server: who could ask for more? We will be back to enjoy another tasty treat. Enjoyed the steal cut oats with granola. Great coffee made this experience the best. Look forward to a return meal.

Though their sign outside claims«the wait is worth it» I dare to disagree. Arriving just 45min after opening, we were put on a waitlist with two other parties ahead. After 15min of waiting we were finally seated. Inside it’s pretty small, hot, and overwhelmingly smelling of food. There’s maybe 7 tables and two bar spots so the place doesn’t accommodate a lot of people. After ordering though, the GF and I waited over 40 minutes for our coconut porridge and poached eggs + brisket to snail-slow its wait out the kitchen. One of my poached eggs was not a poached egg but a boiled egg, but the rest of the dish was pretty good. Not good enough for a 40 minute wait however. Service was subpar as well. Want to know why there’s always a wait outside? Because the kitchen manned by one and a half people and unorganized. Get people’s food out quicker so that patrons and people on the wait list don’t have an aneurism.

they add bacon to their Bloody Mary’s…that alone gets a high rating… not to mention everything is homemade and house brined. Latkes were made to perfection. We sat at the bar so had front row seats to their super tight operation and access to their kind staff; we felt like we were with family.

Be prepared to wait!!! Then wait & wait & ohhh wait some more. Wait to be seated, wait to order, and wait for your food! Tiny restaurant with outdoor seating. Signup on clip board. Name gets called, your seated. Self serve coffee(thank god otherwise I’d never get a refill)! Half & half, tea, sugar, honey. Only like 7 tables inside with 2 bars for seating. Ordered the coconut porridge $ 8. Waited 40 minutes at least for porridge!!! Oh and let me mention the crazzzzzyyy line of people waiting for a table outside. Also there was empty tables around us just poor organization… Finally got the food & quickly got the check so I can get the F out! Finished my food in 10 minutes & bounce

I had heard the legends of this place so we decided to finally try it out with another couple who live in Grants Pass and who had also never been. It’s a tiny, adorable little café… Completely eclectic, artsy, funky and fun. There was a 45 minute wait for four at 11am for Sunday brunch. Thankfully there is an uncovered patio area we were able to wait in and enjoy serve-yourself coffee. It was drizzling that morning but we all had a great time and didn’t mind at all. Coffee was good. Once seated tightly at a 4 top, the pleasant waitress came by with menus and to take drink orders. This place is crammed and very busy but everyone we encountered here is very nice and friendly. We all ordered huevos rancheros and excitedly waited. The food came and looked so lovely and appetizing… But then sadly we all deflated a bit after taking a few bites and realizing the food was very bland and unmemorable… For such a unique place, the food was surprisingly tame and generic. We were all disappointed. I wanted to love this place so much… That being said, while I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, if someone wanted to go I would totally give it another try and just order something different.

This place is an absolute gem. Every little thing from the jam to the salt to the ketchup is local. The biscuits are divine! The quality of food was superb. BLT was great, egg sandwich was great, pasta was great. Just an overall wonderful experience with fresh, local food. Very hard to find in this area. I will be back next time I’m passing through!!!

This place is just wonderful! Staff is extremely friendly, food just gorgeous, with vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options. We had the huevos rancheros, the hashs, eggs, granola, and chicken & waffles. Everything was amazing! Especially the ‘hash it over’ was truly delicious. The ma mosa prioritises local, organic and non-gmo products. And: you can draw on the tables! This is the perfect place for a cozy and delicious brunch!
