Murf’s Marvelous Pancakes

Murf’s is AMAZING! From their awesome pancakes and homemade syrups to their friendly crew, I cannot say enough good things about this locally owned breakfast spot.
Only open Saturday mornings, I suggest checking their Facebook page to see what the flavor of the week is. Lemon cheesecake and maple bourbon are always available, but each Saturday there’s a new taste sensation; some examples: eggnog, chocolate pecan, peanut butter, cherry, marionberry…
If you have an iron will, you may be able to stop with just one pancake, but you’re welcome to order more if you decide that’s not enough. And they’re flexible… Start with one flavor and order a different flavor for your second pancake. How can you resist fluffy pancakes topped with warm syrup and a scoop of whipped white chocolate cream?

Oh my goodness this is the best!!! All they serve is plate size pancakes and sauage. Here’s the catch… they are large, FLUFFY, and LIGHT! They’re so filling and the syrups are delicious!!! They have two flavors Bourbon Maple Cream and Lemon Cheesecake. Every Saturday they have a special flavor. Today was rum cherry. What I like about the syrups is they aren’t overly sweet. The syups have just the right amount of sweetness, and consistency. I personally don’t care for maple or bourbon, but it’s now one of my favorites! The lemon cheesecake is very lemony, so if you don’t like a tart taste you won’t care for it; I like it. The cherry rum was amazing! I started with one pancake and sausage. When finished I ordered another pancake so I could try a different syrup. This is a fun practice of this restaurant. The coffee is just ok. I didn’t come for the coffee, I came for the pancakes and was NOT disappointed at all.
The staff are friendly, polite, and check on you at a reasonable timeline. The only down side to this place is it’s a very small place and gets noisy when busy. I will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Best pancakes ever! The syrup is out of this world! I love all of Murf’s syrups, she introduces one new special syrup weekly and always have bourbon maple cream and lemon cheesecake :) They’re only open on Saturdays but it’s the best breakfast in town!

Be warned they only serve pancakes and sausage, but if that’s what you’re in the mood for you’re in luck! I tried the pancake with maple bourbon syrup– OMG! The bourbon flavor was strong and delicious. But I would have to say the thing that sets this place apart from all others is they serve it with a dollop of white chocolate whipped cream instead of butter. It is so decadent but not too heavy, and compliments the syrup perfectly. A must try if you love pancakes!

Amazing pancakes and syrups… who needs more? The atmosphere and people are awesome… it’s just like having breakfast with your family at home. Highly recommended… best place in Southern Oregon for breakfast!
