had a family reunion near Bass Pro. needed to have a marina/​nautical/​beer fix. this place filled the bill.

I NEVER give poor reviews on social media. wish I could give this establishment less than one star.
1. I watched (open kitchen concept)
the cook eat his breakfast while he cooked others’ meals.
2. The cook served an omelet and noticed it wasn’t cooked all the way so I watched him flip it over where it wast noticeable.
3. The cook staff reached into raw ingredients with bare hands and cooked several dishes without washing their hands in-​between cooking and eating their own food
4. When my dad asked if they were serving fries yet one of the cooks yelled said ‘just eat the breakfast old man’.
I’m sad it’s Sunday so I have to wait until Monday to report them to the health department. SURELY there are better places to eat in the immediate area.

Super clean, the best burger, fries & onion rings ever! My spicy burger was a unique & perfect marriage of spicy mustard, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese & banana peppers. Nothing fancy about the grilled cheese for my 6 year old so she LOVED it! The onion rings are thin, kind of like onion straws but still very tasty. The clam strips were as if you ordered them from the coast. Super tasty & excellent service guarantee we will be back!

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast. Food was amazing. Would love to give it 5 stars but it did take awhile for our food to come out.

Excellent place to hang out on the water and enjoy great food. Their burgers are delicious and they have one of the best Reuben’s ever. It’s BYOB and they often have live music for entertainment. The staff is pretty awesome too!

What a great place! Me and my son both enjoyed the food and scenery. I had the fried clams basket which was treat and my son had the chili cheese dog with fries. This is a definite new spot for us to relax and enjoy ourselves.

I love it! We are from New England and we miss the water. This is as close as we can get here. The food is amazing! We got onion rings, burgers and fries. They are delicious! Plus it is really cool to sit on the dock and look at the lake. Highly recommend this place!

Great restaurant!!! Location, atmosphere, food, congeniality, music, prices, EVERYTHING! We kayak there and always get the grilled chicken salad to avoid carbs. Best salad I’ve ever had! Their seafood and burgers look amazing, too, though. One of these days…
Take the kids and let them feed the ducks, carp, and turtles!

The curry mussels were cooked to perfection, they give you decent size mussels, not over cooked, the curry tastes great with just a hint of spice. I went on a Saturday, was able to sit on the deck and enjoy live music, it was a perfect lunch by the water

Beautiful scenery and a fun atmosphere for the whole family.

The Crazy Burger was good, in not just a teeny bit salty. The fried fish sandwich was good. The staff was friendly as well. Make sure to call ahead and see if they’ve switched to their summer hours, otherwise the kitchen closes at 8p.

Have to low star it due to a couple tables not cleaned off, and served fries that were old and burger was small.

Over looking Lake Grapevine with a view of the sailboat marina, this place gets an automatic 2 stars. They also have fireworks every Friday night in summer you can see from here, so the restaurant has live music those nights. …But, that’s where the good news ends. This review is based on the food. If it were just a bar, I would give it 5 stars for location.
All the food is cooked in grease here, then I think dipped back in grease again before served. I got the tuna sandwich because I know a lot of things (almost everything) is fried here. I couldn’t finish my sandwich because it was so greasy. How do you fry a tuna sammy? They also use Kraft cheese slices instead of real cheese, which is just a cardinal sin to me at a restaurant. We tried the fried Gouda and fried mushrooms, and a few of the fried Gouda had no cheese in it :). The mushrooms were good.
It’s just a grease fest here. That would almost be ok for a marina dive, but it’s the prices that are akin to a tourist trap that leave you in wonder of the reasoning? How does two pieces of wonder bread, 1 piece of processed cheese, a wee bit of tuna salad, and 10 ounces of oil calculate to $ 8? Maybe if they cut their oil usage in half they could save and bring the prices back down to earth & sea!
At least you order at the counter and they’re not asking for tips after emptying your wallet and sending you to the drug store for Maalox. If I had a boat here, I would be worried about sea sickness after eating. I wish they let you bring a picnic here and sit at the tables for the view!

Best food on any lake hands down!!! On Fridays and Saturdays they have a lot of seafood. Chargrilled oysters are a must try! Along with the shrimp and grits, shrimp tacos, peel and eat shrimp. The Gouda cheese sticks are to die for and I could go on and on forever about how great their burgers are. Not only is the food awesome, the people are great! So nice and helpful! The atmosphere is so much fun! Whether you come by boat or car, just come! You don’t want to miss out on all the greatness Big Daddy’s has to offer!!!

About as good as you can get on Lake Grapevine if you want to eat in your swimsuit and listen to a local musician. Food’s decent, and the BYOB and/​or «tip» for alcohol policy works since they’re not licensed to sell.

A hidden gem in the marina. The perfect hole in the wall kind of place. Nice big rustic deck for outdoor dining on the water and really good food. I had the chicken salad and enjoyed it very much. Burgers where delicious too. It’s BYOB, or for a donation you can select from their beer cooler or minibar. I will be returning!

What else can you ask for? Sitting on the lake with good food, great live music and friends! Great patio for a day, afternoon, or night of hanging out with friends.
On a scale of 1 – 10 (10 being great), I would say they deserve an 8! Some entrees may be the greasy dive food, but some entrees are outstanding! Their steak is to die-​for and the fresh fish plate we had was delicious. It is BYOB, or leave a good tip and grab one out of the cooler. Not a bad place for kids, plenty of exploring and they can feed the ducks and fish. I would recommend this for a great outdoor dining experience.
