Located in the historic downtown Grapevine on Main Street, this is possibly our favorite steak house in the area. We visited again yesterday and took our kids this time. In addition to the friendly and professional service, the steaks were perfect, the crab cubes(a signature dish?) were tasty and the claws delicious. Only misstep was the salads had too much dressing — we’ll simply ask for dressing on the side next time. Lastly, as I’m sure everyone knows, the restaurant sits in a remodeled former 1920’s(?) bank building providing tons of character with seating on two levels. If you want a dining experience to rise above the typical steak house chain, this is the place to go.

What a surprise! We frequently visit Grapevine Main Street and for years have walked past Dinos. For our anniversary my wife decided we must dine. When you enter its a very classy two level restaurant which is a cool twist. Live piano music on a Thursday was a plus. The service was schnell und sicher to use good German. The food was excellent for the price. Equal to many of the area high end steak and seafood places, but not their prices. I had seared snapper and my wife had the Seafood Six. Both were great. The waiter knew we were celebrating something so he brought out a complementary tiramisu, wow, excellent! Funny side story, it said«happy birthday». Oh well, he tried and earned the extra tip. We highly recommend Dinos on Main Street in Grapevine

I’ve been slow to get this one up, and don’t often review, but had to give credit to Dino’s. My wife and I are moving to area and are here on a house hunting trip. Great atmosphere, great service, and the food was excellent. Additionally, when they did not have the wine we requested in stock, they brought another(even better wine and it wasn’t on the list yet) one that we also enjoy, and though it was a more expensive wine they offered it at the same price as the one they didn’t have. We look forward to going back sometime in the future once we get settled into the area.

If I could give this place ten stars I would. The atmosphere is top notch. The food is unmatched. I had the filet and shrimp. I have never had a steak so flavorful. It literally melted in my mouth. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked. The potatoes and vegetables were perfect compliments. We had escargot for an appetizer, phenomenal. The deserts were delicious. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive. Perfect dining experience.

Dino’s Steak & Claw House is a gem in downtown Grapevine. I have driven by this place many times when worked in the area and I never came in. It is an open two floor restaurant. On Friday nights, there is a piano player that plays in the restaurant. We made reservations and were promptly seated. The drinks were great. I am a bourbon man and I have a few of their bourbon cocktails and they were all outstanding. We had a few appetizers and their crab cakes were outstanding. I had a their rib-eye and I like it blue. It was cooked perfectly. This is a great place, steaks were great. It is a cook steak house but not the best in DFW but I will definitely return soon!

Everything awesome until they charged 8 dollars for horseradish sauce without disclosing this charge that no other steakhouse has ever charged me one cent for! Told the server Missy and she refused to remove! I will not be back!

I came here with a large party before a movie première. I had called earlier in the day and left a voicemail about making a reservation but when I didn’t hear anything back for several hours I called again. They didn’t have anything available but were able to accommodate us with a bit of pleading. Our party sat upstairs. The lighting is very dim, there’s a piano player, it’s very romantic. The most romantic dinner I have been to with 13 men, that is. For starters we had platters with calamari, crab cakes, crab claws and scallops. I really enjoyed the scallops and calamari. The crab claws were rather small and a bit of a pain to eat. The crab cakes completely fell apart when trying to cut them into quarters to share. They had a lot of breading and just crumbled. I then had the lobster bisque — it had good flavor. It was very creamy and thick. There was no additional lobster– just soup. For my main entrée I had the NY strip with the asiago cheese per our servers recommendation. The steak was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. It had a good sear and really didn’t need the cheese at all. I didn’t eat the sides of potato or roasted veggies. I had trouble finishing the steak after all the apps and soup! For dessert we tried the bread pudding since on of our diners had it before and said it was a must order. Everything was good as a whole. I would return and have the scallops, steak and bread pudding. Some of our other diners at the table had issues with the temps on their steaks. They were under cooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen, some just declined the meal. Service was good. The location can make it difficult to find parking, so I advise you make a reservation and still arrive early to secure a good parking spot!

Not bad, but definitely a little overrated. Service was very good, but… Had the a dry aged strip, and it definitely was not worth the price. My coworkers steak was badly miscooked, sent back, and returned as if they did nothing to it. The mashed potatoes were good, but had things for garnish that were inedible. Never put it on the dish, right on top, unless it can and should be eaten. Carrots on the side were almost raw, but flavor outside was good. Just needed a little more cooking. Seasoning on the food was good.

Very good steak house really enjoyed the Ribeye, scallops and Filet … Get the Tomato salad or wedge to start and the wine list is reasonable and good. Try this joint

Went with two guests and we’ll all had steak cuts. For Grapevine(not for a major city like Dallas) this was very good(good in a large city). A number of finer details that could have been attended to but weren’t(medium well was really a medium to medium rare), decaf coffee afterwards was on the burner for awhile, etc. But overall, a great environment, waiter was friendly, food was delicious and well-presented. Not a five star but definitely worth going back to — would recommend.

Hey, this place is a neat little fine dining spot in mid-cities. With the name and look of the exterior, you would never think it’s such a swanky little bar and restaurant inside. I have passed this place by judging a book and missed out. In-line with Downtown Grapevine, the interior layout feels like a saloon in the old west! There is a balcony that goes around the second floor, overlooking the bar just like in a western movie. They have live piano and other classical instruments on weekends to jazz it up. You can request songs for some tip money. Best part is the service. They hire oldies but goodies as the wait staff here! Ladies and gentlemen who are seasoned and actually enjoy waiting tables as a profession. These guys are the real deal so they don’t have to play the stick up the rear card. Refreshing :)!! The food is really good. It’s your typical hot bread out, with real butter as in all high end restaurants. The food comes out right on time and Is delicious so far! Everything seasoned and cooked to perfection, artfully laid out on the plate, with the right amount of tasty sauces per entrée. I had the lobster bisque before my meal, which is a home run. I could have licked the bowl clean. It’s worth the trip to the bar to get a cocktail and some of the bisque to-go! I did take one star off for the exterior and patio. They really need to spice it up out there to reflect the goodies the inside has to offer. Maybe do a mural of ritzy saloon or lots of twinkle lights? However, it may just be the cities tight code restrictions on historical preservation of old buildings? Whatever the case this is a great find and well worth the visit & check!

This place was wonderful!!! My husband and I went for my birthday and in the reservations I requested a quiet table. When we got there, they took us upstairs and only 2 other tables were occupied. And, not long after that, they left. We had the rest of the evening all to ourselves upstairs!!! When we left, there were quite a few more patrons, but they seated everyone downstairs. I started with the lobster bisque, and my husband got the Lobster & Chive Ravioli. Both were excellent! Then we split the Chop Salad, also very good. And, we both got the 8 oz. Filet of Beef with the Classic Oscar Style with crab meat, asparagus and béarnaise and it came with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and sautéed carrots and zucchini and we ordered a side of Macaroni a la Quatro Fromage(mac and cheese). The sautéed vegetables were just the perfect«doneness». For dessert I had the Crème brûlée and my husband had the Tiramisù. I would have to say, our entire experience at Dino’s was more than excellent! From the food, the cocktails, the wine, the piano music, the lighting, the ambiance, our server Larry… just everything!!!

Terrible management! We had a reservation for 8pm. We were seated at 8:35. The air conditioning was very strong. So changed tables 3 times. The service was so slow. Better order 2 glasses of wine at the same time. Or wait forever. The good: Live piano and food.

If you want a romantic atmosphere with exquisite food this is your place. Dino’s is centered in the heart of downtown Grapevine. The place has an old Chicago feel to it with an amazing piano player. We got seated right away and ordered a bottle of wine and sea scallops for appetizers. Not being a seafood fan I had wanted to try to scallops for years for some reason(they always looked good to me). They were amazing. They were cooked to perfection and the sauce they used was the perfect accommodation for them. For our main dishes I ordered the 18 ounce bone in ribeye and my hubby ordered the rack of lamb. The ribeye was cooked perfect and very well seasoned. My hubby said the lamb was delicious. They also served a side of vegetables, which are cooked al dente(so if you like mushy veggies you will not like these) and mashed potatoes, that are served with dried spaghetti noodles to make the potatoes look they have antennas and give a good crunch to the potatoes. For dessert we ordered the crème brûlée! The crust was torched perfectly and the inside was like heaven. The food was definitely worth the money. Side note: the wine is not cheap. We paid $ 45 for a bottle and that was about the cheapest. The waiter was very helpful and had excellent recommendations. Everyone was helpful, pleasant and knowledgable. This place is worth the dining experience especially if you are celebrating something special or just need sometime with your loved ones. Just remember it is not your cheap everyday steakhouse. This place will give you all the bells and whistles.

How does this place not have better reviews? I have eaten here several times and the meal and service has always been spectacular. Giorgio our waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable about wines. He picked out two wines for us that were great and great value. The setting is very intimate and a breath of fresh air from the traditional steakhouse. The tomahawk ribeye is amazing!

My friend plays piano here… she asked me to stop by. So I did on Wed evening with my wife. Food and atmosphere is 5 stars for sure. I ordered NY steak, filet mijon, and crab legs. Best food in Dallas for sure. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner.

I went here with a small group for a business dinner. The food was delicious, but pricey, thank goodness I wasn’t paying! I disliked the piano playing, which was loud and constant throughout the evening. We were originally seated next to the piano and had to ask to be moved because we couldn’t hear well enough to talk, it’s that loud. I had a salad, a glass of excellent red wine, and the small filet mignon. The filet came with garlic mashed potatoes, which were wonderful; and undercooked carrots and zucchini. The fried spaghetti inserted into the potatoes like two alien antennae was an odd touch. I ordered the key lime pie for dessert, and it was wonderful. Overall, if you’re up for an excellent meal, formally served with a high price tag, go here!

I travel quite a bit for work. I use Unilocal all the time to avoid chains and find hidden dining«gems.» Dino’s is one of those and I can’t recommend it enough. I sat at the bar for dinner and drinks. Tony took care of me and my service was incredible. While mixing up mojitos with fresh mint and an assortment of amazing martinis available on their menu, he made time to tell me about about the history of this family owned establishment. For dinner, I followed his recommendation of the scallops appetizer with a tarragon bernaise sauce. Hands down the best scallops I’ve ever had… and they were gigantic! I followed that up with the filet mignon Oscar style which came out perfectly prepared. Thank you to Tony for the great menu recommendations and for making my dining experience top-notch!

I was in town or a stroll with 11 colleagues when we stumbled upon this place. We were not looking for high end just some decent food. The baby grand piano served as a conversation topic while the staff tried to find us seating. 12 people show up without a reservation would typically be a problem. In a very short time we were escorted into a private room. The wait staff was attentive without being over bearing. I chose the Kunde 2012 Zinfandel to go with Yellow & Red Tomato with buffalo mozzarella, red onion, basil & roasted red pepper in a balsamic-herb vinaigrette and a 10 oz fillet mignon. I have my fillet«rare plus» and it was cooked perfectly!!! Tiramasu as dessert was big enough to pass around for all. Dino’s for me was a great choice. We eat at lots of high end steak restaurants and I’d put this one right up there with any of them. if I ever get the chance to visit Grapevine again… I will definitely come to Dino’s to eat!!! Thanks guys!!!

A couple of friends met me and my partner for a going away/happy birthday meal. It was pretty packed and dimly lit. Soon as you step in you can see the piano player playing jazz to the left. The atmosphere was really amazing. It is more upscale and pricey than I usually like to dine, but tonight it was so worth it. The waitstaff were completely attentive and great when it came for giving suggestions when asked. They started by serving a great bread with sweet butter with olive oil and a balsamic reduction. I could have ate that all day long. For starters we ordered escargot in garlic butter. They were soft and cooked to perfection. Then for my meaI had steak medallions covered in hollandaise sauce drizzled with raspberry coulis. I would have never have thought to pair a hollandaise with raspberry but I am glad someone did. It was so good. To top the meal off, we split an order of bread pudding with ice cream.
