Steak is decent but not as good as JR’s or Bobs… the service was what impressed me. Everyone in there was extremely polite and helpful.

The great part was the steak and salad. I had the 12oz prime rib cooked MR and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. I also had a garden salad and the croutons are great. The not so good was the margarita. I ordered a frozen one to start with and it was just bad! I returned it for one on the rocks and the bartender hooked me up with a better one. Once we were sitting I had one of their specialty margaritas and it was really disappointing. Don’t waste your time go with a different drink. Our waiter was great! Overall we had a good experience and will return.

Queso Fresca is delicious for starters! I am a people watcher and while waiting for my food, I saw the manager, Pete, really taking care of the customers. Introducing himself, rushing to open the restroom door for guests… really making himself available to the guests and to his waitstaff! Love the team work. It is more than just the food that makes this place great, the greatness starts at the TOP, with the people!

Great gluten free experience! We got there on a Friday night about 6:15 and there was a 30 minute wait. It was packed. They have a separate gluten free menu that we used to select our foods. A great surprise is that they also brought us some gluten free bread to eat while we waited and it was really delicious. Super fluffy and no upcharge. Their honey butter is GF so it was perfect. I had the potato soup which was delightful and hubby had the salad without croutons. Steak was cooked perfectly for my 6 oz filet although hubby’s ribeye was a little overcooked. Both had great flavor and we really enjoyed it. His loaded baked potato was really loaded with tons of sour cream and butter which he loved, but if you are not a fan, ask for it on the side because of how much it was! Really delightful experience at Saltgrass. Eating GF isn’t usually much fun, but it was great to dine here and have wonderful choices. Can’t wait to return.

Went there for lunch. Waited 45 minutes for very average food to show up. Don’t bother… there are way better alternatives in the area.

Hubby and I went to see Star Wars in grapevine because we were going to stop in at the Gaylord Texan to see their Xmas lights. After the movie we were hungry and Saltgrass was conveniently located off of the highway next to Cinemark, so we stopped in. As my appetizer I had the chicken soup, hubby had the house salad, both were good. My entrée of choice was the kabob with fried onions and hubby’s was the chef special which consisted of a sirloin with mushrooms and mac n cheese. Hubby’s sirloin was the perfect temperature(medium well) and the mac n cheese was delicious. My medallions were not so great. After cutting into the first one I realized that they were overcooked(I asked for rare). The first bite I spat out because the meat tasted like vinegar which is an indication that it has spoiled. I sent the food back and instead opted for the ribs with fried shrimp. Ribs were fall off of the bone and the shrimp was perfectly fried. The manager apologized about my initial order and said«I can have them bring you a fresh order, we got some meat in today» Now this alerted me to the fact that my meat had been frozen which is most likely why my second bite(into a different medallion) tasted like the meat had been thawed from the freezer. All in all a disappointing experience since I went there for –and was craving– steak, but I’ll give them a three because my replacement meal was solid.

Amazing Steakhouse. This place was recommended to me by the hotel staff and the Über(cab) driver. Atmosphere great, service superior, very clean, servers offered suggestions, and the steak(Ribeye) was awesome(tender, tasty, etc). Price waa slightly higher than Outback, Longhorn, etc… but worth every dollar. YUM!

Saltgrass is one of the few ‘chain’ locations I can tolerate. They have such solid food. I really love their cheese fries, the bread, coconut shrimp and their wedge salad is so great! My husband always orders the ribs and coconut shrimp and its always so yummy. I usually order the wedge with no basalmic or bleu cheese and add a grilled chicken breast to it. I will say that this location can get very very busy with ridiculously long wait times. I also think the service is not great at times, especially when they get really busy.

Service was beyond excellent, even on a busy Friday night. All of the staff was super friendly and worked together as a team. Anyone would help us, even if they weren’t our assigned waiter. Our waiter was great. Food was good and came out fast. It’s hard to find places with good service nowadays… very impressed! This location has a fantastic staff!

We had a great meal! Waitress was fantastic! Pat’s 16oz ribeye prepared just as requested. Can’t say enough good things. A party of 10 and we were seated in about 10 minutes(granted it was a Thursday evening). Split a sirloin for the kids and they presented on separate plates, no charge! Who else does that? Thanks Salt Grass making our visit perfect.

George, Jasmine and Scott and Leah all took measures to make sure I was able to safely eat here gluten free. The service and selection was amazing. I will return again and again. Thanks sooo much.

We have enjoyed meals here several times, usually sharing one of the steak choices. Most recently we shared the top sirloin cooked medium rare as requested. It was highly seasoned with a lot of salt, more than we would ever use. We shared a baked potato and each had a salad. It was plenty for each of us. The restaurant tends to be cool and noisier than we find comfortable. Wait staff seem friendly and well trained.

Average Family orientated dining. — but passable prime rib — not quite as upmarket as Longhorn :-)

We had come to this location because it was convenient for us to meet since it is located close to 121 and 114. Did not wait long to get seated and the waiter, Daniel, had a good sense of humor PLUS he did not slack on his table service. He checked on us regularly. Daniel answered all of our questions about the menu, making suggestions and recommendations. My daughter got the Wagon Boss Top Sirloin and wanted it cooked medium and it came out red and pretty bloody. We immediately sent it back and they left the Mac-n-Cheese so she would have something to eat while she waited. I ordered the Wagon Boss Top Sirloin with Coconut Shrimp. I ordered mine medium also and decided I needed to cut mine to check for too much red, and it was also pretty bloody so I sent mine back also. My husband order Pats Ribeye, medium and it was cooked to his liking. His fries were even served hot, a big plus. Our steaks came back to us hot and with new sides. The server was attentive and the manager came by our table. Overall we had a good meal and were satisfied with the service.

I was here with my girlfriend and her family for a family dinner, and when I stepped in, I thought that this is pretty much like part Houston’s in Irvine, CA and Outback Steakhouse as far as the atmosphere went. Now, as for the food? Yep. Texas has the meats, all right. I ordered the 12 oz. Wagon Boss Top Sirloin topped with crusted black pepper and cognac pepper sauce(or however they worded it on the menu), and it was DELICIOUS(ESPECIALLY for a medium rare steak). The steak was cooked to perfection, not too red on the inside, and the outside was perfectly crusted. The baked potato was pretty huge(I think it would be more than just one serving — depending on how much the person can eat), and the chicken tortilla soup was not that spicy. Pretty much everything about this restaurant was GOOD! If I had a chance to head back to Texas for some meat, this would be the place to go. :)

Went out here with a LARGE group of people from work to celebrate the end of a 2 week training course. I’ll admit I was a little leary — I’m not from Texas, but I was thinking this was the equivalent to an Outback or a Ruby Tuesday’s. I could not have been more wrong. The restaurant itself is perfect for tourists. You’ll see lots of knick-knacks hanging on the walls to include bull horns and Texas flags. The staff was certainly friendly enough, although I am not sure they were entirely prepared for our large group. It took quite some time to get the drink orders in and get them back out to us. Food was great, and that surprised me. With a group of over 20 people, I had expected them to screw up my steak order(medium rare). I have to say it was near perfect! Cut like butter and the potatoes weren’t dry at all. Everything really tasted great. We also splurged on some desserts and the brownie as well as the chocolate cake was simply wonderful. Really hit the spot! My only general complaint was the price of the drinks. $ 23 for a gin and tonic and a 6oz glass of wine seems sort of outrageous to me. However, I would most definitely go back if I travel to Texas again.

We went on a Friday at about 8:00 and were seated right away because we had a Landrys card. Service was much slower than usual, my mom had to be at DFW airport by 9:40…we barely made it in time and all I ordered was soup and salad, my mom and husband ordered steaks. We did tell them we were in a hurry after waiting about 40 mins and then our food came right out. The waiter was nice and apologized, and the manager even came out and thanked us for being Landrys card holders. This was my first time getting soup and salad there and it was excellent, I love their ranch and the tortilla soup had the perfect amount of kick to it.

My boyfriend and I went on a date to this location and it was a great experience. We were seated quickly and our server, I wish I could remember his name, appeared quickly and with a great attitude. It was a pretty busy night, and even though we could see him running around like crazy, he still made us feel as if we were his only customers. He also had a great sense of humor and really made it an enjoyable evening. Our food came out cooked correctly, seasoned wonderfully, and had great flavor. Everything was delivered promptly and without a problem! Yay! The only complaint I have, and the only reason I am giving 4 stars, is because the steak was absolutely drenched in whatever cooking wine they use. Every bite I took was like taking a giant swig of Merlot. It was all I could really taste! I eventually was able to look past it and really enjoy my meal, but it was definitely unpleasant at first. Overall, I was very pleased and would return!

Visited this location and the service at the bar left a lot to be desired. Apparently it was one of the bartenders last days at Saltgrass and her attention was more on a couple guests. The food was still quite good, I just get better service from the Fossil Creek location

The last time I sent anything back at a restaurant was 10 years ago. Today, I sent the lunch ribeye back twice. First one had a big part curled over to the front, completely uncooked. Raw. Not even a faint grill mark. Second one was mostly a huge slab of fat. Not marbling. Fat. Big blobs of fat. To be fair, the rest of my family got good steaks. In fact, since I didn’t want to risk a third try, they all donated a piece of their meal. So, I did get to eat. Reason for one star? Both the waitress and the manager saw both steaks given to me. Both agreed they should not have been served. However, at the end of the meal, they chose only to subtract the cost of my steak. That’s not really equitable considering what happened, and not how this would be handled anywhere comparable.

I’ve been to the Saltgrass here and the one in Irving. Food-wise, it’s difficult to deviate when the joint is a standardized steakhouse. The grilled shrimp was plump and filling, and the seasonal vegetables were cooked to my liking. Again, though, Saltgrass serves a standardized menu without a particularly unique specialty. I didn’t find my dish to be a standout, but dinner at Saltgrass gives you your money’s worth. :) If you’re going to leave this place a happy man or woman, then order a dessert to share. The pizookie + brownie + caramel sauce topped ice cream is a heavy but addicting dessert. I’d highly recommend sharing in order to avoid regretting consuming a caloric bomb. Pros: — cost-efficient/“bang for your buck” — dessert

I received a call from a higher-up to inquire about my rather average dining experience. I pointed out that the entrees had been heavily salted. The individual on the phone took great interest in my feedback and looked forward to making my next visit a better one. That right there shows me that the people at Saltgrass Steak House are listening and they care. Love for the customer is hard to find these days. The folks at Saltgrass Steak House appreciate their patrons. I will definitely be back!
