Horrible service. We sat for 30 mins after our drink order was placed and had to ask where our drinks were. We werent even given water while we waited. Another 30 mins or more went by before he came back to take our food order. When the food arrived the crabs and lobster were over cooked. The crab was falling apart the lobster was so tough you couldnt even tear the meat, so needless to say we couldnt chew it and just had to spit it out. 150 bucks wasted. if i could give zero stars i would.

Let me start off by saying… I love Joe’s Crab Shack!!! But… there’s none in the city that I live in. So when we planned a trip to Dallas, Joe’s is one of the places I wanted. As always, the food was great but the service at this location was really Bad. I believe our waitress name was Becca. She told us sorry about 4 times for mistakes that she made. Finally I told her to give us to-go boxes and the bill so we could get out of there. If you’re interested in checking out Joe’s I suggest you go to another location.

This was just what I expected. If you are in the mood for seafood and especially steamer pot type of foods then this will meet your needs. I was glad to see lots of food options on the menu, including a large selection of the steamer pots depending on what types of meet you wanted and what you wanted them cooked in. We started with the clam strips appetizer. The clam strips were a nice size and were pretty tender for their size. There was no way we were going to eat all the fries that came with the appetizer. I got the Samuel Adams steamer pot that had crab, lobster and clams supposedly steamed in Samuel Adams lager. After eating it, I do not know how I am to know if it was prepared in beer or not. Everything was good, served hot, but I am not sure that it is done in any special way. Our service was friendly and adequate, The restaurant was clean, but the bathrooms were dirty for being the first thing in the morning. They have some great T-shirt designs available that are very cleaver. I have now eat’n at Joes — Check that off the list.

As much as I have eaten here, this is the worst experience that I’ve had here at Joe’s. And when I shared my displeasure with the manager, he dismissed it & tried to rush us out of the restaurant. I’m extremely dissatisfied & disappointed!!!

What Happened??? I used to work at this exact location. We would never let a guest stand at the front door without being greeted — this happened at least 4 times! We would have been embarrassed to serve food looking like it sat too long — which it probably did. None of the servers seemed like they wanted to be there. Come to think of it, the bartender came over to seat 2 of the families that came in. We did see the manager once — she walked to the front to get the merchandise register and walked back. No table visits here. It seemed like nothing went right. There was even a lemon garnish in my Blue Moon beer(please tell me you know why this is wrong). At the end you’d think a server would ask why half of the food wasn’t eaten and no box requested. I’m pretty bummed. I’d been craving Joe’s for a few weeks and we never had time. This visit soured me on ever coming back. I read some of the reviews before leaving this one and it looks like it’s been happening for a while. Pappadeaux and Razzoo’s will have our seafood business from now on. FYI: This was at approx. 7:30pm on 10.31.2015. A Saturday!
