Honestly, the best Chocolate I have ever eaten. Midnight Mocha is out of this world. I live in California and I always make a stop when I get in town to visit my family.

Lovelovelove this shop! I work not far from here and have shopped downtown Grapevine for years, never knowing this place existed. It took a tiny blurb in the Dallas paper to direct me here and I keep coming back. I can see why they finally moved to a spot directly on Main rather than a bit off it. Location, location, location! My first stop in I sampled everything. Twice. Actually I’ve done that every time I’ve stopped in! But after all I’ve tried and loved, the hubby and I are hooked on the Midnight Mocha. Simple, delicious dark chocolate with a bunch of coffee beans. Every ingredient seems to be of the highest quality. I also truly love the orangettes but they’re more expensive than the rest of the chocolates. If they weren’t I’d buy them again and again. Unfortunately I still have bills to pay. I finally brought hubby in with me on the last visit and he was literally like a kid in a candy store. I was afraid they would finally start charging for the samples. Thankfully he didn’t lick the bowls, though I could see in his eyes that he was tempted. Thanks, Dr. Sue… be back as soon as we finish off this latest batch we bought. :)

Yay for chocolate class! Dr. Sue Williams is a real physician by day and has a legit chocolate shop in Grapevine. The chocolate can be found not just at her retail location but also at all Central Markets around Texas. I first discovered them at CM and made my way to Grapevine to complete my chocolate fix. There you can sample unlimited quantities of all her chocolate creations! My favorites so far are the cherry pecan, hazelnut toffee, and the orangettes(candied orange rind dipped in chocolate). This stuff isn’t cheap but you can taste the quality of each bite. This expensive confectionary allows me to limit the amount I consume, so I’m glad it’s not cheap! Anyway, they also offer a chocolate making class, and it’s super fun! It’s a 2 hour class where you learn where Dr. Sue sources her chocolate(from a Belgium chocolate maker who gets their beans from the Ivory Coast and Ghana), the differences between chocolates, and then you get to make bark, ganache, truffles, and sample everything in the store. I ended up buying a 2 pound bag of chocolate chips so that I can create more combinations of bark at home. It’s a super fun and relaxing way to learn the science of chocolate making. Great date night or girls night out idea! BYOB, you can bring your own additions and flavorings, and it’s about $ 65/person. My instructor was Alex, who was the !

Most amazing chocolate store experience I have ever had. I was blown away by the amount of samples in this store and the warm welcome feeling of the staff. I came in to the store with a few friends that were visiting from Tennessee and I instantly loved the ambiance and quality of the chocolate.

Truly the best chocolate ever. Also a great shopping experience. The store is adorable, and they make all of their chocolate on site. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s all dark chocolate, and it’s all very high quality and delicious. They have samples out for every single flavor, and they encourage you to sample all of them. Our favorites were the Blueberry Ancho Chile Bark and the Midnight Mocha Bark. We will absolutely be back, and we’ll be looking for Dr. Sue’s chocolate in our local grocery stores!

Whaaaaaaaaaat? I can’t believe more people haven’t heard of Dr. Sue’s! We came by while hanging out in Grapevine, and were so happy to have stumbled upon this delicious chocolate! First, let’s get this straight. You can taste ANYTHING here. Any of the incredible creations. I honestly went a bit wild and kept trying everything and thinking I had found my favorite, just to walk a few feet to find my new favorite! She makes a mean bark, and those were always my favorite. Ginger, cranberries, nuts, and plenty of quality ingredients. Most of the chocolate was dark and vegan. This was a miracle for most of my family, as we try to avoid dairy. I usually don’t like dark chocolate that much, but this was some of the best chocolate I’ve had in my life. I’m not sure what they put in this stuff, but it’s worth checking out. It’s also a great place to get gifts. They box everything in nice boxes, ready to give to a deserving recipient! If I got this as a present, I’d be happy! :) Especially for those vegans or dairy-free’s in your life that deserve some delicious chocolate.

I went to my cousin’s house for a birthday party, and her brother-in-law brought Dr. Sue’s Chocolate. I immediately fell in love. It was a bark with berries, coconut, and nuts. A perfect combination that I love. I also heard Dr. Sue is actually a doctor who just loved making chocolate, which made it all the more impressive. A few weeks later, my cousin invites us to a chocolate-making class, hosted by Dr. Sue herself! Her Grapevine store(first-ever), recently opened, and Dr. Sue has launched classes to learn the basics of chocolate and the art of working with it. I honestly thought the class was actually making chocolate from the bean, but it was about making things from the chocolate you can buy in bars or chips at a Whole Foods or Central Market. We made bark, ganache, truffles and dip. Unfortunately I didn’t learn much with that, but there were all these great tips Dr. Sue gave us. We also got to try all the chocolate in the store and it was divine! My favorite was hatch chile citrus and ginger fig bark. Her combinations are excellent! Dr. Sue also cares for what goes into the chocolate and everything is non GMO and organic! Love this place.
