I don’t understand where the low ratings came from. This is REAL Italian food. Great wines. The calamari is off the charts, service and food was beyond excellent. When in Grapevine and wanting Italian, look no further than here.

Just happened upon this place, and could not have enjoyed the food more. The eggplant Parmesan is served over pasta with tomato sauce that is rich and thick. Mamma’s salad was crisp, fresh greens lightly dressed. Happy Hour house wine was quite good. A special treat is their homemade limoncello for dessert. Service was tops. Will look forward to going back next time we are flying in or out of DFW.

Very unattractive atmosphere. Ordered the veal parmesan, pounded very thin, deep fried with a dab of sauce… not very good. Dry and chewy. Sorry, won’t be returning.

Went there last night, was seated by the door. It’s very chilli outside, when a table opened up we moved. Owner/worker(older gentleman) rudely reprimanded us and stated a party of 8 was coming in. Made us move and said it wasn’t cold there yet when people come in they hold the door open for them. Very rude to the customer, service was slow. For an italian restaurant everything is ala carte and you receive no bread at the table. Price is expensive for a small place. They recently put a bar in the other side-loud! i will not return. I would recommend Farina’s on Main Street in Grapevine 100% over Napoli’s

Last night was our 1st(and last) visit. We were not impressed at all. The Good: –We were seated rather fast and the restaurant look very nice and classy. There were only a few seated in our side of the restaurant. –The tomato basil soup was delicious. Actually it was the only part of my meal that was good. –The food came out hot despite the long wait. The Bad: –After being seated we waited a few min for drinks but then the rest of the meal our waitress was hard to grab and waited long periods before she came back to take our order(10 min), bring our food(30 – 40 min), and our check(15 min). She never came to check on us after our food arrived and when my husband ask about his meal(after having eaten it and she was clearing the table) she said«well did you like it?» and my husband said«ehh, it was all right» she said«oh great!!» and left the table. We felt forgotten from the beginning. –The wait we had was rediculous for the number of people in the restaurant. Not many… –The food was bland. The Alfredo sauce is soupy and flour tasting. Was gross. The Cesar salad had no taste to it really. I have better bottled ceaser dressing at home. The grilled shrimp on my salad was ice cold… not what I was expecting and took away from the taste. My husband thought he had ordered something other than what he got. He ate what he was given and didn’t like it. He didn’t want to wait another 40 min to fix it. Our waitress never knew about this because, again, she never came and checked on us. –The waitress didn’t know the soup of the day and just walked off to ask instead of telling us she would go check. Then, when she did come back to tell us what the soup of the day was, she told us as she was passing by to deliver drinks to a different table even though she had just been at our table to take our order. My expectation was that she would have returned and finished taking our order before moving on to another table. Last but not least we barley got any refills and glasses went empty most of the visit. Ultimately, we were extremely unhappy with the service and the food. Maybe they were all having an off day but I doubt it since everyone seem to have their heads up their butts and not know what was going on. There was one computer to ring up food and it was right by our table and that is where they seem to congregate. They kept asking each other questions about the menu and what came with what. It’s like they were all new at the same time. I know this place has been open for a decent amount of time so the staff shouldn’t be all that new. Not a place I care to visit again at the cost they charge. 1 ceaser salad, 1 small cup of soup, 2 pasta meals, and 1 order of breadsticks… $ 70

I wish that I could rate the dessert café separately from the restaurant because we in the same afternoon had night and day experiences. The dessert area is for sure a 3 – 4 star, the restaurant a 1 – 2 star. So I will go in time order! We get to main street grapevine for the Christmas parade around 4:40 or so to find great parking, as well as to give ourselves plenty of time to sit down & eat. Possibly shop if there is time for it. I ask what my daughter wants, noodles she say, and Napoli’s was the first we walked by that I knew should have what she wanted. Not that much of a wait but the folks sitting people are short and rude with the 4 groups that are waiting. I brush it off to stress because I know that parade days & grapefest type events are busy for the restaurants on Main. I would later find out their credit card machine had crashed around 3pm that day which explains why everyone was so stressed. We are sat & our drink order was quickly taken. We ask a question about kids meals pricing, it takes a good 15 mins to get our drinks, strange to me our waiter seems shocked that we hadn’t gotten them yet & runs to get them.(Normally its the waiters that bring drinks.)Our food takes a good 45 mins to come out even though they we’re not as busy looking as other major restaurants on main. I brush it off to not knowing whats going on in the kitchen & it being parade night. My food was very good but don’t match up to amount of food I’d expect for price. At least when they are cutting corners & charging extra for items like bread, which extra $ 5, salad $ 3, etc. At most places charging those prices at least you get a stick of bread with your meal. My jaw dropped at how little my daughter got for $ 6.50.(Maybe a cup and a half of plain penne noodles!) I’ve taken her to other upper sale restaurants where she got way more for less; and truth be told if it had been any other night I would have sent her stuff back & just taken her else where; but again I chalked it to parade night … as well with what the time was it would have been a nightmare to try to go anywhere else. Plus she ate really fast given the amount on her plate & had room for dessert! :-) Our waiter, while very nice, was VERY neglectful & at times nowhere to be found for stretches of time. It became a multi-table affair to get his attention for the table that needed him to bring a check, refill, take our payment, etc. I had to go to the bar to get refills and our to-go cup that daughter had asked for 3 times. As well no mention of the credit card machine being down happened until they already took my card, made a copy & came back. At this point we’ve lost any opportunity to go shopping because many of the stores closed at 6pm. We had closed our tab, so we decide to go get desert. The staff they have working there we’re very friendly, let us know immediately about the credit card situation, and everything we got was BEYOND outstanding for the price. We will be back for the dessert area, but I’m doubting that we will give the restaurant another go when there are plenty of other independently owned restaurants in the area with better service, servings, and don’t cut on the extras.

Lovely location on Main Street across from the Palace Theater. They have remodeled recently and added a bar and nicer dining in the back of the confectionary. Coffee is wonderful, as well as the gelato and candy/chocolate. It’s a great place to go on date night for dinner. Friendly baristas and servers!

Went on a Friday evening and was seated right away. Staff was pleasant and friendly. I had the soup of the day which was a garlic and mushroom which was tasty. My main fish was called Napoli Trio Pasta. It had rigatoni(if memory is correct), chicken, spinach, artichoke and a garlic sauce. It was good but not spectacular. Was there with one other person and I took note that from ordering to serving it was the same waitress but she could not remember what each of us ordered and got it reveresed each time. Additionally, she knew what the soup of the day was but told me she had not tasted it. However, she did offer to do split checks without us asking which was nice. There was live music that was pleasant enough. I would like to give them a fourth star but can’t.

We enjoyed our dinner here! We started off with the calamari steaks, and they were delicious! After that, it was a supreme pizza for him and chicken parm for me. Both were good! The highlight of our meal was when Vincenzo, the new chef, made a pass through the dining room. He was really nice and encouraged us to come back and try the new menu he was putting together. The only downside to the meal was my wine. $ 12 for a 4 oz pour us just ridiculous in a town with 9 wineries!

Little disappointed… I went last night because I was in the mood for good pizza. I used to love their pizza because it reminded me of being back east. The pizza used to be huge and I ended up taking most of it home. Now its way too little and does not taste the same? The gelato was good! I recommend the s’mores and the cappuccino.

Ugh. Just, ugh! First timer to the place. I walk in, there’s a bar. I sit. I wait. I’m the only one there. The«chef» sees me there. 2 servers walk past me. Not. A. Word. Ok…I get up and see there is another area up a few stairs with another bar. Ah… this is my perch. I sit. I wait. Finally, I’m greeted. I get the top white wine flight. $ 21. I’m brought the $ 25 flight. Ok, no biggie. I finish that and ask for a suggestion on pino Grigio. I’m given two samples. Well, I thought they were samples. Apparently they were half pours(probably an ounce and a half each). I decide on one and order a glass. In the meantime in order a Dish to eat there and one to take home to my Hubby. I have the cacio y pepe, which is spelled«cacio de pepe«on the menu. Wrong. It is ONLY supposed to have pepper, cheese and butter. Nothing else. This shit had garlic and shallots too. Raw garlic I may add. However, I would eat pasta with shit on it so I devoured it. It wasn’t bad, but it was not as advertised. I ordered prosciutto wrapped dates and a pizza to go. «Chef» comes out to bar man«Michael» and says they don’t have it. Ok. 86 that, bring the pizza and we are good. Pizza comes out and is supposed to have green olives(I subbed green for black). No olives. I let them know, they bring pizza back with green olives on top. No re-fire. Nothing. Just green olives. I show Michael again, he agrees this is not good, sends it back, offers me. Wonderful house made limoncello(complimentary) as I wait. He asks what he can do to make it right. I ask for the pizza to be comped. After talking to the owner, they agree. I know they were busier thank they expected to be, but the bartenders all seemed new, had no customer focus or understanding how to make a cocktail. Got the bill and my two«tasting“wines were $ 9 and $ 10 each, plus the full glass I ordered. Wtf? I will not recommend or return to this place. They tried to make it right but there are much better, tastier and customer focused places that I will spend my money. Poor, about 90% all the way around. Seek out somewhere else.

Having eaten at this establishment several times I was excited to see the new upgrades to the main eating area(new bar built, paint, furniture) as well as an addition of another eating area on the confection side of the café. Excellent architectural flair, great menu items with increased wine selections. Very nice! I would recommend this establishment if you are looking for a great breakfast or lunch meal, and either a simple casual supper or a very nice dinner.

This review is for the food/restaurant part. We didn’t have any desserts or gelato. My hubby and I were hanging out downtown and thought we would stop in for pizza. There was one other couple in there during lunch when we first arrived but we decided to give it a go. I really liked the watermelon tea they served. but I had to ask for 2 refills during my stay each time… the waitresses seemed nice but one of them was too concerned on being her phone(right in front of us) instead of taking care of us! The pizza came out super hot, we had to ask for plates and cheese. The pizza was a large Italian with all kinds of sausages and pepperoni with light tomato sauce… they forgot the sauce all together. The overall taste and flavor was subpar to other«italian» pizza I have had. We had to ask for our check. we paid at the counter and left.

TERRIBLESERVICE. Took forever to get our drinks and order our food. My dad ordered a small Caesar, my brother a large Caesar. They were the same size, only on different plates and were about 9 whole pieces of romaine. My dad’s was $ 3, my brother’s $ 8. I asked the waitress if that was a small and a large salad and she said yes. I asked what the difference was besides the plate size. She shrugged. My husband’s food didn’t come out when ours did. I asked for a plate to go with my pizza so I could share with my(starving) brother. They brought a tiny bread plate. We were about halfway through our dinner and still no food for my hubby and no explanation why. We asked another waitress since ours was standing by the food window steadfastly avoiding eye contact with our table. She said it was coming. We finally nabbed our waitress and asked about the missing food and she protested, «It’s not my fault!» No apology. Nothing. We asked to speak to the manager and were told he wasn’t there. He wouldn’t be there until 9pm — when they close. Everyone just shrugged. My husband’s food finally came out as we were finishing ours. He ate a few bites and we were ready to go. He asked for a box and she finally brought our check. I looked at the bottom and SHEADDEDGRATUITY! There were 5 of us — no excuse for adding gratuity. Our bill totaled $ 125 — that’s with 1 glass of wine, 1 beer, and 1 gin & tonic. They didn’t offer to comp or discount my husband’s late meal.(They did, however, discount it $ 8 but didn’t tell us so we didn’t know.) This place is far too expensive for that kind of crappy experience. The food was actually pretty good, but it was overshadowed by the horrible experience. I left angry so I struggled about giving them a second star. We won’t be back.

I didn’t care for the cups they serve it in made it hard and messy to eat it. They make their Gelato in house and it’s very tasty. I had the cappuccino gelato very tasty and hit the spot on a hot day.

Really cute, vintage café. Though, here is some water damage on the ceiling tiles that really need to be addressed. The tables and chairs are nice though. The wine selection is great! We got the Moscat D’Asti & Pinot Grigio. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip — it was pretty good, but they don’t serve enough bread with it and wanted to charge us for more. Also if you want oil, herbs, & breadsticks like at any other Italian restaurant, it’s $ 2 extra. Kinda disappointed there. Also ordered the Pasta Trio. It was very good & filling! Would have cut up the artichoke hearts before serving, but the flavor was very good. Went over to the confectionary area for dessert. Got the gelato in peanut butter & chocolate brownie caramel flavor. Delish! Would definitely go back!

How cute is this place! Okay, I only visited the dessert side of the place, so I can’t comment on the food. but the dessert was great! I could not decide what to get! This is definitely NOT a place to visit if you are dieting, because you’ll probably end up ordering the amount of food it would take to serve an entire village. I may or may not be guilty of doing that. ;-) My daughter had a canoli, my husband had the banana pudding gelato and I had the mint chocolate chip gelato. Mine was so creamy and delicious! Next time I visit, I’m getting a cake from the display case, everything looked very tasty. The woman at the counter was friendly and patient. The only downside about the place is that they don’t have a lot of seating available because most of the tables are reserved for the restaurant. Overall, I’d visit again! The place is too delish not to! The location is also great, right in the heart of downtown Grapevine.
