They always have fresh bread and fixins’. The service is always pleasant. One of my favorite sandwich spots on GV.

Great sandwiches surprisingly. Good spot for lunch and casual atmosphere. Bread rolls are great too.

I used to be able to justify the price of the sandwich when it was filling, stuffed with ingredients, and best sandwich in town. After my visit tonight with prices even higher and the sandwich made poorly missing ingredients and nowhere near the same size. For a 13 dollar sandwich I was very disappointed. Not sure I’ll be back anytime in the future way to over priced for what it is.

We love the staff and food and drinks. What more do need? We love the variety and the great people and ambiance. They have so much to offer and always have a great special sandwich that exceeds our expectations.

Been going here for years maybe be busy at times but foods always worth the wait today I had something called a bikini and it was delicious! Employees were very nice even tho they where very busy. they have a high stack of meat and amazing bread that really made the sandwich. if you want a good sandwich come here!

I don’t do franchises or chains very often but when I do, it’s usually either real good or real bad. Bad. I am so over this. The food is overpriced, gross and the décor is tacky and every table has its own personal digital tv on it. BFD. Sorry. I tried over and over, tired of waiting 20 minutes for a sandwich that gets microwaved. And someone there has a cream cheese problem. Back away from the cream cheese. Yuck.

I dont think i have ever seen two girls not want to work as much as the people behind the counter here. I came try a sandwich because they were voted best deli in the area. I wasnt greeted. When i thanked them for the sandwich, there was no reply from either worker. They were so cold to me, i had to wonder if i did something to make them mad, but that was obviously not the case. It was just two girls that did not want to be at work who made me a disgusting sandwich, which i threw away in front of them. I will never go here again.

Love the Gv beach hut, friendly staff, great atmosphere. The food is great and well presented. The TVs are always on your favorite sports. We have been back several times, it’s nice to go after work and get an ice cold beer and sandwich. Perfect ending to the day. We’ve always had a great experience with the hut!

wonderful atmosphere. I love the wonderful quality of the product. I will never go to any other deli in town again after eating here. Thank goodness for the location what a life saver from the dreaded mcdonalds/jack in the box/burger king. I love that party trays are offered and impress and satisfy. The staff is always looking to make me as a customer happy.

I had my first Beach Hut Deli sandwich in 1981 in Granite Bay and fell in love with them. The owner«Troy» was easy to get to know because he was always there and always very outgoing. His staff was all about business and customer service. My Surfin Bird sandwich looked and tasted exactly the same regardless of who was making it «delicious.» Since Beach hut started franchising, I have visited most of them within 100 miles of Granite Bay. As expected they are not quit as good as the original but still pretty dam good. That is until I moved to Grass Valley. I visited the new store within the first week of opening. Absolute chaos, unbelievable wait, staff unfriendly and my Surfin Bird was a joke. Ok, its there first week. So I waited a month. Same experience but now the place is starting to get dirty. Over the past year and a half I have probably made 10 attempts to get a decent sandwich. Its just not going to happen. The staff is rude and always goofing around, texting while working, and just don’t seem to be managed at all. The place is filthy. Worst Beach Hut in the whole franchise. They need Troy to come up for a week and show them what made his original store in Granite Bay such a success.

This place makes awesome sandwiches — but be prepared to wait! A small sandwich is more than enough for two people. I can’t imagine what a large looks like! I love the vibe of the place! Just call ahead if you’re in a hurry. P. S. — I first discovered Beach Hut Deli at Rollins Lake(Long Ravine Campground) — they’re awesome too! One thing that would make it even better? French Fries.

Tasty sandwiches, and very large at that. A fun place to sit and enjoy a meal(other than it being a little dirty sometimes, tables seem as if they are rarely wiped down, random napkins/paper on floor.) With the staff, it’s hit or miss for me. There have been times I’ve gone in and the girls behind the counter are quiet and unfriendly. Other times the girls are very upbeat and nice. The boys that work here seem to always be nice, but I don’t see them as often as the girls. Overall, it’s pretty good for me. Good food and the restaurant seems organized/put together.

Home of the 15 $$ sandwich. at least it seems that way once you add a drink. They do make some good sandwiches but makes me sad how much they want to add cream cheese to everything.

I do like some of their sandwiches. And if you wanna pay 12 bucks you can get a tasty one and a big one. Big problem, the young ladies there are rude, disrespectful and think this job is their playtime. If you wanna pay a decent amount for a decent sandwich me spend your day waiting on your ladies shooting the sh! t …

Sandwiches are decent, I’ve had better from other Beach Huts, but the service flat out sucks. The young girls working were crazy rude to my wife. The owners need to realize their minimum wage employees are losing them customers. Don’t act like you’re doing me favor buying your pricey food. I don’t mind paying good money for a good sandwich, but I won’t eat at a place that treats their customers with absolutely no respect.

Dave’s Shoes old stomping grounds has turned into another attempt at the Beach Hut deli… This chain of Deli’s failed in their downtown Nevada City experiment, but who knows maybe Grass Valley will provide a better location for them… I ordered a Medium Sized Spicy chicken sandwich creation of some sort … It was decent enough &pretty spicy. The medium size was huge(and for $ 11 or so it better be damn big!)… It looks as though the menu is pretty big and creative & there is a bar serving beers. However, a band was playing when I visited and they were not my cup of tea… An annoying Elvis /Big Bad Voodoo Daddy wannabe type band… Needless to say I got my food to go… I will return and give it another whirl(probably not for a while though — I spend $ 10+ on sandwiches very rarely).

Excellent sandwiches and friendly staff. I go here a lot! 2 – 3 days/week. I’ve eaten at a lot of sandwich shops, and you get a lot for your money, here. I ordered a large sandwich at Quizno’s one evening and it had a lot less meat on it than the small at Beach Hut! And I’m pretty sure it cost more! Also, love their happy hour deal starting at 3pm. I think it might just be going on during football season, but would be nice if it carried on after the season ends. $ 2 for the domestics and $ 3 for the micros. I used to drive over to Nevada City to eat there, and I’m glad they moved to a more centralized location. Try their Cheese Steak with a little extra«awesome» sauce. Mmmmm… my favorite! Only complaint that I have is that their plasticware is pretty flimsy. Kinda hard to cut the food with those knives, but a small price to pay for a great sandwich!
